We are on this site becasue we love movies- I have a great love of the B flics

One of the reasons these work for me is the supporting cast- my all time favorite is Harold Huber- a regular on the Chan series

Who in th' HELL is Harold Huber?

If I have a fave "B" co-star, it's Mantan Moreland, simply because he made SO many movies where he's the ONLY reason to watch the damn thing.

For me it’s Beverly Garland, not only did I enjoy her work on screen, but I was fortunate to have met Ms. Garland several times and found her extremely charming off screen as well.

Will go with Mantan as well. Although I love Harold Huber, William Demarest and Edward Brophy as well.

Mine is a B actor who found hisself in A movies sometimes, AND TV... Elisha Cook Jr.

Whether he's in noirs with Bogie, or horror films with Vincent Price and Carol Oh(MY)mart, I loves him.

He's the rich man's Gene Roth (hey, THERE'S a B kinda guy!!!).

I have a soft spot for George "Gabby" Hayes. He always did whatever was asked of him: playing the sidekick, playing a bit part, doing some comedy, singing and dancing a little, and more. I don't know if he quite deserves co-star status but he is always a "supporting" actor.

Don't remember why, but I loved Slim Pickens when I was little. Maybe it was just the accent.

Gabby was the first person I thought of when I saw the name of this topic. As you say he did everything, sidekick, second lead, villain, you name it, he did it at least once. Except, maybe, primary star. Of course, he had his on comic book title for a few issues ...

I agree his presence was a big plus for every movie he was in

I always enjoyed watching George E. Stone. He popped in in so many movies and easily morphed into guest TV shots. I saw him the other day playing Fingers Purdy in an episode of M Squad. Probably my favorite role of his was as the Runt, the sidekick in the Boston Blackie series. His diminutive stature makes him easy to recognize. He was always very believable as the shady character with the good heart.
