I bought a four-pack of Lee Drac films about 4 months ago. It was the first time I saw Dracula AD 1972. I don't think British hippies and Drac mix well. Gimme the period pieces.

I've got Taste the Blood of Dracula with the exact same pic as on your compilation - I was inspired by this interesting American blog to buy it - what made you succumb, RStony? B)

One of my earliest childhood movies memories (maybe the earliest) was me mum taking me to see a double feature of Horror Of Dracula and The Curse Of Frankenstein sometime in the early 60s. Unbeknownst to her at the time--she created a little monster. I always loved the Lee Dracs. The Hammer Franks? Not so much. When I saw the four-pack of Dracs at Barnes And Noble, I had to have it.

I like the 1st one--Horror Of Dracula--best. My favorite scene from that film is when Gough and Cushing are guarding the woman in the house from Drac, but the bloodsucker is already in the house. Good scene and I remembered it all these 50 years (almost 50 years). Although not on the list, Dracula, Prince Of Darkness is my least fave. Of the 4 in the set I bought, I like Dracula 72 AD least.

The other 2 in the 4-pack are good, but I get 'em mixed up. The one with the guy who works in the pub I like better than t'other.

The part I like in that film is where the hero stakes Dracula, but because he is an atheist it doesn't work and Dracula pulls the stake back out. The only time I've ever seen that in a vampire film. I also found it interesting that Dracula drained a victim and then had the body destroyed before she came back as a vampire. He did the same thing in one of the other films in the set. Apparently propagating his species wasn't part of his overall plan.
