This Saturday I'll be rubbing elbows with the critics at the Castro Theater again for the SFSFF Winter skirmish. Three Chaplin Mutuals, a French classic called L'Argent, and the King Vidor silent La Boheme with Lillian Gish and John Gilbert (there's odd casting). Incidentally, the primacy of the American silent film is going to face a new challenge as the next two years bring to DVD a lot of 'new' French and Russian silents, including something that will make drooling fruitcakes of true blue serial fans (no, NOT a Fuillade -- this is a six hour chapterplay I've never heard of before). Watch this forum.
Life is just a bowl of cherries, it's too mysterious, don't take it serious...
