Thank God that's cleared up. Andarius, yes, it is a game, but not like the one you describe: Donkey Kong's minimal plot is a waste of time, but addictive. I ruefully recall sitting in the hold of the Steamship President while Fats Domino and Clifton Chenier played two decks up, and I was playing Donkey Kong. Not a proud memory, but it beats the living hell out of the whining in Keith Richards' book stupidly called Life. |

Speaking of pop stars I had a gander at Cliff Richard's book in the local library - I might give it a go. |

I also played Donkey Kong for endless hours (and quarters!). The game gave the world the first appearance of Mario... and the world has never been the same. |

The little bit of croc/gator (I can't tell the damn things apart) vs. panther scenes were very cool. The ivory hunter who said his arm was broke as Tim tried to rescue him from the cliff, was able to use both arms whilst shaving and holding a mirror, whilst in the infirmary. This one is OK for me, but I prefer a little bit of a villian like Ming, The Black Tiger, Princess Tika, Dr. Satan, or Fu Manchu. This Spider Webb ain't showed me anything yet!! Letting one of his henchmen (NOT named Bob, nor named after Tarzan's sidekick--Buoy) drown in quicksand. |

I agree - if you can't be Ming at least be masked with a good secret identity. |

I always use the generic term crocogator. I'm never right, but I'm never wrong either. Where I grew up they tried to convince us that when a crocogator bellows, that means it's going to rain. I don't know anybody who bought that. It's one of those superstitions that hung on just because it's so silly. TTL came from a popular comic strip and if you'd tacked a mystery villain on to it, some folks wouldn't have liked it. At least Spyder Webb is a good name. |

What I want to know is--who held that leopard down while someone spray-painted him to turn him into a black panther? I think they got a little shaky when they reached his eyes; because, in close-ups, he looks like he belongs in a minstrel show. |

I want to know what is going on with the guy at the start of the chapter - he gets his spear and looks like he is heading off for a morning commute. |
