I must admit that I'm a slacker and haven't even started this thing.

I was trying to remember if Silver was a mare in a revealing shot from The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold trailer!

Whoa, was Chapter Seven great, or what? The shot of the two guys in gorilla suits wrestling with each other alone justifies the existence of the entire serial genre.
And was Ernie Adams one of Spider's henchmen all along, or did they just hire him for this episode because they needed an actor shorter than the guy in the gorilla suit?

Agree about Chapter 7. Tim is one of the rare serials that get better as they go along. There's, well, there's Les Vampires, and, uh...Tim Tyler's Luck... maybe The Drums of Fu.... Anybody got any others? Maybe Judex?

Is it just me, or does Spider Webb look like a grown-up Wheezer from The Little Rascals?

At the end of the last chapter (and the begining of this one) the lion and the leopard (sans black face) are ready to square off, but in the seperate shots the lion is a male with a big mane, but in the fight scene it's a female... no mane.

One last observation: When Ju-ju leaves Spider's camp with the note, he's spotted and Spider changes plans, yet the changed plans are in the note when Tim finds it this chapter.

Overall, a good, fun serial.
It's like Rodney King used to say, "Can't we all get a bong."

I'm gettin' a little tired o' playin' "Jungle Cruiser Tag," but the overall plot seems to flow nicely.
Not plane, nor bird, nor even frog. It's just little ol' me...

It was superb! Was Becker (Ernie Adams) the little guy from Brenda Starr? I loved the way he flew! :D When Spider and his men spotted the Ivory Patrol who opened fire as the bad guys were entering the Jungle Cruiser, one of Spider's men got hit and was very dramatic!

The title that comes to mind most is SPY SMASHER. So did PERILS OF NYOKA.

Right and right, Pa. Maybe Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe too.

For some reason, we never talk about Perils of Nyoka, but it's certainly in my top five.

When we discussed PERILS OF NYOKA in the chat room at the Cliffhanger Productions site, the one comment I remember was. "I can't find a single thing wrong with it." This is also special to me because I met eight people from the serial.

A few thoughts on Episode Five, "Trapped in the Quicksand"...

Jack Mulhall, delivering one of those convoluted-but-necessary-to-explain-shit-in-a-breakneck-serial lines o' dialog: "They've got Tim a prisoner in that abandoned swamp where we lost him that day!"

Most unexpected moment in the serial so far: Lazar serenading Tim with a love song. Note how the love song seems to upset the animals, but Tim kinda likes it.

Most unexpected line in a love song: "Ees no joke to make love to the crocodiles."

Stupidest line in the serial so far, as Tim spots that enormous tank parked by the side of the road: "Say, isn't that the jungle cruiser?"

Question I can't get out of my mind: What th' hell is an "abandoned swamp"???
"I'm glad that this question came up, because there are so many ways to answer it that one of them is bound to be right." - Robert Benchley

Wouldn't you abandon a swamp? Hell, that's what they're for.

Yes, I met Clayton Moore at the Golden Boot Awards. He started to leave right after the ceremony, but I headed him off at the pass, and managed to get one autograph, on a lobby card from the Lone Ranger feature with him in the scene. I also met Kay Aldridge, Lorna Gray, William Benedict, Tristram Coffin, Dave Sharpe, Tom Steele, and William Witney.
