Watched EXPERIMENT IN TERROR for the first time. What a strange film. Most suspense films build the tension as the film progresses. This one starts with the tension so taut I wondered, after the first half-hour, if I could really put up with another hour & one-half. Strangely, as the movie unspools, the tension lessens minute-by-minute.

Part of the problem is that the seemingly omniscient, omnipresent & completely vicious villain initially presented slowly begins to display weaknesses & (gasp) a softer side. Another problem is the police-procedural role Glenn Ford is saddled with. Never cared much for the "perfect" law-enforcement personas of that era.

A fun film, but.....

Did you enjoy the blackout periods in the film? I thought my TV was going on the fritz!
It's like Rodney King used to say, "Can't we all get a bong."
