Wow, this movie was a lot like Psycho, only not so good. A pretty young blonde is the star of the film, until about 1/3 of the way through, when she's suddenly stabbed to death while staying at an out-of-the motel. Her sibling and a friend go to investigate. There's a shocking corpse at the end. Okay, end of comparison. The blonde is a college student searching for information on witchcraft in Massachusetts for her senior thesis; Professor Christopher Lee suggested this place, which should've been enough to keep ANYBODY away. There are indeed some genuine shocks, and a lot of people acting mysterious and creepy (particularly Christopher Lee, who simply looks creepier in a nice suit and tie than he ever did in a cape or wearing a long white beard). There's a lot of chanting, and an old reverend of the local church who's scarier than any of the witches. Not a BAD movie, but rather tame by the standards I like movies. |

I saw this movie tonight! A bit on the scary side I would say. In the end, this blond got exactly what she deserved. I mean anybody that would open a trap door, after being warned not too. And then brushes away the spider webs, just so she can go snooping around, needs to just lay back and take the sacrificing like a MAN!! |
