Dave Kehr's interesting review of the new Lang box is in the Sunday Times. Three movies I never expected to see: Halbblut, Die Wanderne Bild, And Vier Um Die Frau. (Halfbreed, The Wandering Image, and Four Around the Lady) He says none of the three is a masterpiece, and he also says the middle film is only two-thirds complete, and I don't care, I'm buying THIS set, especially since Eclipse hasn't released anything compelling for ages, and here's a chance to see three films I thought I'd never see. You know, we're really lucky to be alive now. All those Anthony Mann, Fritz Lang, Ernst Lubitch, William Dieterle and Frank Borzage pictures I thought I'd never see are in little plastic boxes right across the room. Calloo, callay!
