Mr. Hale, how soon your forget Malaysia Air? Please, keep current.

I may have also heard that the Kardashians have canceled their show. Discuss global ramifications.

Fin-head, I believe you'll fit in just fine around here.

Just to change the subject for a minute to give you a "F-bomb" story. A couple of years ago here in San Francisco, one of the members of the Board of Supervisors New Year's resolution was that he was going to drop at least one "F-bomb"at every meeting of the board. Charming.

Also thanks to those that said kind words about me in above posts.

So Chuck, you know what I do in the privacy of my apartment? And you're monitoring my thoughts? Well, that'd pretty creepy.

Actually, where have I been slamming him about releasing it? Unless you're counting my calling it a pirated release, which indeed it is. That's not a slam, it's a statement of fact. I guess the only reason you're so sensitive about it is because of how loudly Grood has preached against piracy. If anything, that makes him the hypocrite. Now that it's out and in people's hands, I could care less unless he gets back on the anti-piracy soapbox.

What I have continued to slam him for--and will continue to do so--is his continued failure to release TMR after all this time. I get that you don't care who he's hurt/ripped off/stolen from/trampled on so long as he releases pirated DVDs you can buy. Others of us may feel a little differently on the topic.

Fin-head, there's a couple of SS releases worth getting. Gang Busters, Vanishing Legion, King of the Mounties, and--ironically--Daredevils of the West. But most of his PD stuff can be gotten in better versions from Roan, Image, or VCI.

Paul, you're entitled too your opinion of my serials. They have some who like them and I tend to think they are better than any of the other recent jabs at the genre (TV shows like 24 notwithstanding). Certainly better than the chapter and a half Grood shot. I think even you'll agree with that.

No question about it. Grood's chapter-plus is as shoddy as anything I've ever seen.

I assume PD means public domain. I don't know what's public domain and what's not.

Any links for Roan and Image? I googled them and didn't find anything.

Roan you can get from Troma.com. The Image titles (the three Zorro serials and Robinson Crusoe of Clipper Island) can be purchased through Amazon. The Roan titles you want would be S.O.S. Coast Guard, Radar Men From the Moon, Undersea Kingdom, The Tiger Woman, the Three Musketeers. I would also recommend Alpha's Burn'Em Up Barnes and The Galloping Ghost. VCI has a lot of great titles. If you want a full list, message me.

Although you might want to hold off on Radar Men to see what Olive comes up with.

Is Olive going to do Radar Men? That would be good. I still think they should do The Crimson Ghost, Haunted Harbor and The Purple Monster Strikes.

Who is Olive?

I have Radar Men, that was actually my first one and I've watched it many times.

Maybe I'll start a thread about that.

Olive is Olive Films, a DVD and Blu Ray company like Criterion and Twilight Time. They are supposed to release a couple of serials on Blu Ray this year. Unfortunately, those serials are Flying Disc Man From Mars and The Invisible Monster, neither of which is particularly good. I'll buy them in support of the idea of serials on Blu, but I just may hate myself in the morning.

There again, I've bought all the vintage 3D movies released on 3D Blu Ray so far, including Amityville 3D and The Flesh and Blood Show, so I guess that answers what mad lengths I'll go to support something.

Panzer~ I find it hard to believe that you think that I might actually be DrGrood, or a shill for him. I certainly hope that you were only joking.

I started this thread just to let you folks know what a nice print of THE SPIDER'S WEB that was released by Grood.

I would have done the same if VCI, Alpha or Joe Shmoe had released it.

I start a thread to provide some information and it turns into a war. Simply unbelievable!!

I wish you guys could get over your hate Grood syndrome. No matter how you feel about him, the fact remains that he does good work on DVD's.

Well, thanks for that. That's one of the ones I was thinking about ordering. I'm glad to hear it'll be worth it.

Willie, I want to thank you for posting the info on THE SPIDER'S WEB. Right now I have such a pile of DVDs to go through, I will wait a bit before ordering it.
