I can't agree with that, and I'm a Lugosi fan.

It's like learning Tom Selleck was originally supposed to play Indiana Jones, after you've already seen RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. There's no way I can imagine Selleck over Ford as Indy, and I couldn't see anyone else topping Boyd's over-the-top performance in THE LOST CITY.

I re-viewed this entire thread tonight and was, (a) kinda embarrassed by my early posts, and (b) astonished by how limited our resources were in that period when VHS had just crapped out.
Life is just a bowl of cherries, it's too mysterious, don't take it serious...

I also happened to review this entire thread, tonight (great minds think alike) and just now re-read all your posts, Mr P, and I don't find a cause for any embarrassment. Nothing seemed out of line, to me.
