I know a lot of very tech savy people haunt this site. But I think I've got a question to stump everyone. I certainly don't know the answer. Short of setting up my movie camera in front of my computer screen and getting a bad copy . . . is there any way to get a copy of something on you tube onto a DVD? Thank you in advance for any tips. |

Yes. It's not difficult. You need a couple of things: 1. A program that will capture the YouTube video. If Firefox is your browser there is a free plug-in that will do this. There may be something that will do this for other browsers. Search for YouTube download programs. 2. A program for burning video onto a DVD. There are both paid and free programs that are good. I use a paid program called Nero. |

I thought someone would have the know how. You people never fail to amaze me. On the CMT channel - they are really promoting the June 6 CMT Music Awards with this 30 second ad: Kristen Bell is talking about how this is her 3rd time to host the event - she in a kitchen and puts a pie in the oven. Right after she does that it shows a very wild party going on in her back yard with a guy in sun glasses and black tee-shirt stoking a large flaming grill with the fire engulfing his arm. I want a copy of the ad because . . . that guy in the black tee-shirt is my son Bryan. The ad can be seen on you tube at: http://www.cmt.com/videos/promo/1047869/2014-cmt-music-awards-kristen-bell-returns-as-host.jhtml If I can't get a copy of the ad from CMT - I'll try what you suggested to get it off you tube. Thank You JazzGuyy. |

Unfortunately, the ad seems to be blocked from playing in Canada. And that link wasn't for You Tube, it was the CMT site. I couldn't find the ad on You Tube. |

Hey Panzer the G & T! Yes, that's my one and only son. He and I spent a quality 2 days in 2005 Sacramento with Gravy himself, you from Chino, Pa Stark and his son Trigger enjoying loads of laughs, conversation and all those great movies, TV shows, etc. from the Gravy Museum Archives. Drinks, subs and munches served by Gravy's beautiful Trophy Wife!! Wasn't that a good time? . . . . well except for Pa and son lifting our wallets! Bryan graduated from Ohio University in 2009 and he and a classmate went directly out to LA to seek their fortune. Bryan does all kinds of work for TV shows, internet, museums, etc. He's worked on several music videos but this CMT ad is his first time on screen . . . . for a whole 3 seconds! But you can see those classic George Clooney looks and "method" acting. Right?? I said . . . Right?? And last night I did get a nice copy of the ad onto dvd. Batman - sorry you can't see the ad up in Canada. |

No prob, Sarge, I'll just wait and see Bryan playing a young George Clooney in the upcoming biopic. |

You could have at least had the decency to have had some money in your wallet instead of just moths. |

Good one Pa. Now that Trigger has graduated - does he have any idea where he wants to work? What was his degree in? |

The only degree that Pa's kids know is the third degree, when being interrogated by the police. |
