I finished watching Gordon of Ghost City, The Red Rider, The Phantom Rider, and White Eagle. All four are Buck Jones at his finest. It's easy to see why he was such a popular cowboy. These were before his "Rough Riders" movies, so it was kinda neat to see him in White Eagle along side of Raymond Hatton just before the Rough Riders movies started.

The Roaring West (1935) is also worth a look too, although not as good as GGC

Good to hear. I've only watched GORDON OF GHOST CITY, but enjoyed it, so looking forward to Buck's other serials.

I enjoyed GORDON OF GHOST CITY a lot, even though it appears to be made on a very small scale.

I have only seen a couple of chapters of THE RED RIDER, but have read some very positive reviews on it.

I have heard several people really trash THE ROARING WEST.

I say that RIDERS OF DEATH VALLEY is one of the most underrated serials. Besides the great cast, it also has great location work, music score, riding scenes, and camaraderie among the cast.

THE RED RIDER is one of my top 10 serials. Jones seemed to be improvising a lot of his dialogue, and he was great at it.
Life is just a bowl of cherries, it's too mysterious, don't take it serious...
