OK, it seems that I'm being thrown under the bus for causing Trev to close shop and leave this site due to my comment about a trading group. Well, if you'll re read my post, you'll see that the previous sentence is in reference to R. Orsak having closed shop and my wishing there was a way to locate his prints. Hence the next sentence about starting a trade group.

So Batman hit the nail on the head about my intentions regarding a trade club at In the Balcony.

I also contacted Trev personally and explained my intentions to him to, and he told me "no problems here--All is Well".

As a matter of fact, a week later Trev sent me an email asking me if I was interested in one of his free serial upgrades, as he'd noticed I hadn't received it. So, I'd say that I definitely have no problems with Trev.

Trev was planning on closing shop anyway, but just did it a bit early. He left this site simply because he decided it was time to move on to other things.

So there's no point in going over and over what has past and errors made. Trev did what he did because he wanted to, and that's the end of it.

Amen to more politeness on the internet. I only visit this site and two others. One of the others has strict moderating and any nonsense is not tolerated.

Do you think the rudeness seen (and I don't think it exists here, at least not most of the time) because people hide behind screen names? I'm not blaming you, having a web ID is pretty common. But almost since day one I've used my real name in every website I use. You can find me at most comic conventions and heck, right there in the phone book, so I tend to say only things I'd be willing to say in person.

Just a thought.

You're a braver man than I.

I certainly don't want posterity to associate my real name with some of the moronic shit I've posted at this site.

My legacy IS the moronic shit I write and draw, the only difference is it's published in print. The internet isn't very different.

At least, yours is entertaining M/S. I'm not sure I can say the same about most of the Internet.

Maybe you're right, Andy. As a pro, I probably should use my real name, but the panzer thing seemed like more fun.

Happy to report Trev is alive and well!

I'm sure he won't mind my pointing out anyone wishing to find out for themselves need only shoot him an email at LaneCarson@mac.com

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Trev has top notch stuff, is a gentlemen and a scholar and has always been a pleasure to deal with. He got me hooked on the Andy Devine series at Universal and I've never been disappointed with ANYTHING I've ordered from him. Amazing that a guy on the other side of the planet can have better delivery time than almost every online retailer.

It amazes me too. You order from trev, and you order from Amazon, and you get trev's stuff first. Every time.
Plus, he's so honest and easy to deal with.
