Re: Eric. So, he wants the people who got fed up with his lying and stealing to come back? Did he apologize and make restitution to anybody, or is he just trolling for new victims?

I made a substantial donation to The Masked Rider project which he screwed up by tacking on a pathetically amateurish first chapter and then, even worse, never completed the release of the actual serial. What has it been, 15 years and it's still not finished? The whole thing left such a bad taste in my mouth that now I seldom watch serials. Why would I want to buy more?

Of course he wants real writers on his site, but he didn't treat me decently when I was there and I will not contribute to the website of a guy who doesn't show decent appreciation. Just a little foible of mine.

Sorry your Dad died, Eric. I hope for his sake he was able to forgive you for you did to him, much worse than what you did to me. I have forgiven you, but forgive and forget are different things.

Gravy and Panzer~ This should interest both of you. For one thing, it's been 10 years that we've been waiting for the completion of THE MASKED RIDER, not 15. He has the project nearly completed. I believe the last disc is done, just not burnt yet. The hang up is the book. Doc needs more cash to get it published. Besides everyone's pledges, Eric has invested over $6000.00 of his own money into MR.

It's Eric's hope that the new drive for the Mascots will help him to complete the MR project.

And these new Mascot's are something to behold. I've seen frame grabs from THE WOLF DOG and the shots of the credits are great, as are the grabs from the film itself. And Eric has seen other chapters from some of the other titles and says that they are superb.

So I made the post here to let you know that 12 prints that have been mediocre in the past will soon be available in great condition, and Eric has lifted the ban on you guys buying from him as long as you agree not to trade them. The more of you that invest in the pledge drive, or even just individual titles, the sooner we'll see MR completed.

So the choice is up to you. You can help and enjoy new and improved Mascot's, or you can sit back and complain about past failures and wait even longer for MR.

I'm not bitchin' you guys out, just stating the facts.

He lied to us, and about us. Well, about ME, anyway, I won't speak for anyone else. He stole money from me. His Masked Rider "restoration" was him taking his buddies out somewhere and filming the most embarrassingly bad recreation it's possible to film without clown noses on. I'm sure he stole that $6000 from others, because that's what he does. He's a lying, horrible human being, and there's no serial on earth that would get a penny out of my pocket to him. Some people have told me he's on drugs or he has a mental disease, but I just think he's a plain, old fashioned criminal. If I get my hands on one of his DVDs I'll loan a copy to everybody who wants one.

Gravy~ I'm sorry that you feel that way, but I'm not in your shoes. Eric has never done anything to me besides getting into a few minor fights that were short lived. I've never had him lie about me, but I guess that if he did, I'd probably feel the same way that you do. I wish there was something I could do to help patch things up between you 2, but judging by the tone of your reply that sounds like mission impossible. So I won't even try.

Like I said, I wasn't trying to bitch you guys out. Just trying to state the facts. I didn't know you felt quite that strongly in a negative way about Eric. Now that I do, I'll try not to annoy you any further about him.

I apologize for getting you quite so upset.

What can I add to that??

We didn't invest in a book. There are ways of doing a book that don't cost $6 bills. We didn't invest in a silly recreation of a first chapter. We invested in a restoration, and we didn't get one. He lied to us. He ripped us off and dissed us as he did it. Plus, he did the same kind of crap to his own father. Am I the last person alive who knows the ten commandments? Wrong is wrong.

I have about 10 SS releases. Of them, Gang Busters and Zorro's Black Whip are excellent. The rest are junk -- the kind of junk nobody will buy. The silent releases are the worst. Where Eric screws up is that he tries to fix things that aren't, to his mind, right, and the lack of a soundtrack really sets him off.

What annoys me the most is that when Eric projected Masked Rider at Serialfeft he improvised a decent piano accompaniment for it. Why didn't he go with that? And how come, willie, all the old SS members hate him? You really think he didn't cause that?

Panzer, I don't think that ALL of the old SS members hate him. And I don't think that he caused the problem all by his lonesome. It was a mutual affair. And HATE is a self inflicted emotion. To be disappointed in the actions of another person is a natural response. To HATE said person is not. That is a decision you make on your own. Sure, Doc made some judgement errors with MR, but he thought he was doing the right thing at the time. But to HATE him for it is a judgement that everyone had to make for themselves, and I don't think it was fair to Eric. You guys walked out on him, not the opposite. And I think there was a lot more involved in that action than just the MR situation.

What's the sense in re-hashing this? He's a liar, a thief, and he fucks people. Whatever. You want to buy Wolf Dog from him, go and do so.

LG/Willie/Mr P/anyone I might have missed,

If it's not out of line, could I ask that LG delete (or move to their own thread), all the posts about the SS and upcoming releases, from this thread.

No offense to anyone, but I was hoping to keep this a nice, clean thread, where people can come to read, rate and discuss the quality of serial releases.

I think the thread would be more appealing if one does not have to wade through all the rehashing about the SS.

Not that there aren't valid points in there, I just don't think they need to be in this particular thread.

Thanks in advance.

LOL, I know, I wasn't sure how much editing would be involved.

It's not the End of the World, if it doesn't happen. But, it's on my Christmas wish list.

It would be just as easy to simply delete the posts about the SS. You're right Gravy that there's no point in rehashing this. Our comments have been made and noted, so why not just delete them and be done with it? I think we'll all be happier for it.

It's just in my heart to try and get old friends back together again. So whenever the opportunity comes up , I give it another try. But if all I'm doing is creating another conflict then there's no point in it. So I'll stop plugging for the SS when I'm here.

I'll bet that deleting the posts would be a lot easier than moving them and creating a new thread, so I'll vote for that to make it easier on you LG. And Batman will be pleased to have his thread back on track. And Panzer and I can relax and not worry about starting another fight. We may as well get along with each other.

I don't like deleting posts, as a general rule. I'll leave it up to you guys, looking at the Webmasters Guide Book and Cookie Baking Recipes, it appears posts CAN be split off into a new thread. Let me know what you want. But I agree they shouldn't be in this thread.

I agree, I don't like deleting posts, and it is a valid discussion, I just don't think this is the thread for it.

I vote for splitting it off into its own thread, perhaps titled "Serial Squadron serial releases", or whatever is deemed appropriate.
