Sarge has better Netflix than I do-- I only show the animated Tarzan's as being on the service.
I've heard good things about it-- but like almost every modern film it goes on too long.

I checked last night and this film is not on Netflix North yet. Ah well. Plenty to watch in the mean time.

What a colossal pile of steaming poo.
If you like your Tarzan done in the limp wristed style of the Henry Clavill Superman in that he's a lovesick puppy who'se sole motivation seems to be to save Jane, who is a sassy modern woman complete with todays makeup, hair and dialogue despite this being set in 1896 then plop down your dough and get ready to watch a CGI spectacle. It's another blue hued video game with a loose storyline with a villain who kills people with his rosary-- isn't he edgy!! I'd love to see the reaction if he'd been killing people with a Kuran.

Really disappointing, didn't dig the blonde Tarzan and except for Samuel L Jackson who I last saw in THE HATEFUL EIGHT (which I liked) it was really a waste of time. I should have watched a Johnny Weissmuller v Nazi's entry.

Thanks for the review, Andy. Glad I didn't plunk money down to see this in the theatre, though I will still check it out on Netflix.

You do realise that seeing movies in other ways will be the death of discs?

Totally agree with the Copperhead and I still stand by my comments from a year ago this month.

I ended up picking up the Blu-Ray for $10, haven't watched it yet, but since last posting on this thread I did read the first book (for the first time) and really enjoyed it, so I'm willing to give this adaptation a fair chance.
