I thought that was very interesting. His analysis of the difference in approaches to fight scenes was spot on and very informative. Are there more of his videos around?

I do recommend the book Scott Higgins wrote "Matinee Melodrama". His YouTube video covers some of the content of the book, which focuses on the structure of serials and serial chapters, and how the producers worked within and sometimes outside of the "rules" for serials.

Haven't watched the video yet, but was wondering if it was this Higgins who wrote the book John mentions. I've just started the book and it's OK so far.

As far as I can tell, this is the only video he made about serials. He posted it a year ago when his book, Matinee Melodrama, was published. I reviewed it here.
