How about Wonder Woman with Linda Sterling?
A 1945 sequel to BATMAN with Lew Wilson and Doug Croft taking on the Nazi's.
SUPERMAN with Kane Richmond circa 1940 done by either Universal or Columbia.
It would have been interesting (note I'm not saying good) if the Three Stooges had done a comedy serial for Columbia.

What else??

Doc Savage with Tom Tyler or Buster Crabbe circa 1940.
A Universal Monsters Serial.

THE SPIRIT with Bob Lowery circa 1945.
A fourth FLASH GORDON Serial. I loved the other three so why not? I know Buck is sort of an unofficial sequel but I'd like to have seen Ming Again.
CAPTAIN AMERICA with someone who looked the part, gave him his shield, Bucky and take on The Red Skull.

THE SPECTRE with Charles Middleton as the avenging spirit taking on bad guys.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head-- anybody else?

All great scenarios, Andy, I'd love to see each of them.

How about a Sub-Mariner serial, with Tom Tyler as Subby?

Harry Carey as Alan Quatermain or as Lamb's Khlit the Cossack.

Buster Crabbe as Captain Future. (Plus, you get the 'trash can' robot promoted to sidekick!)

DEFINITELY Herman Brix as DOC SAVAGE
A sequel to SPY SMASHER
Robert Livingston as THE GREEN HORNET, with Roland Got as Kato
Clayton Moore as MINUTE MAN
A wartime DICK TRACY
Lee Powell as NICK CARTER, in period.
and Bob Steele as a Pony Express rider
(WHEW!, This was tougher than I thought!)

Just one for me: the Superman serial Republic began to make and then turned into Mysterious Doctor Satan when DC expressed displeasure over the script.

Totally agree with my buddy riddlerider. Based on flying sequences from Captain Marvel, Republic's Superman would have looked great instead of the cartoon sequences courtesy of Jungle Sam Katzman at Columbia.

Buster Crabbe as Aquaman.

Adrian Booth as Wonder Woman.

Steve Holland as Adam Strange.

I would've loved to have seen SUPERMAN myself, RiddleRider; but who would have played him? Charles Quigley? Kane Richmond? O perhapsr a just starting out Clayton Moore or George Letz (before he became Montgomery.) Maybe even Lee Powell? Superman has always been a tough role to cast, as he has to convince as Clark Kent as well as Superman.

I don't know who would have played him, but I'm glad nobody had to rule on Bill Witney's early idea: to have separate but similar-looking actors play Clark Kent and Superman. I think that would have been a disaster. Fortunately, casting had not yet begun when Republic pulled the plug.

I could imagine Clayton Moore in the part. He was in very good shape then and could probably do a voice shift like Bud Collyer did on the radio when Clark became Superman. The only issue might have been whether his acting chops would have sufficed. He was pretty green at that time.
