NEW YORK - Yao Ming and Kobe Bryant lead the Western Conference in voting for the NBA All-Star game, while LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal top the Eastern Conference.

Houston center Yao leads all players with 729,178 votes for the game there Feb. 19. His teammate, Tracy McGrady leads all Western Conference forwards with 600,507 votes, followed by Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett (469,497).

The Lakers’ Bryant (664,744) and the Phoenix Suns’ Steve Nash (562,846), the 2004-05 NBA MVP, lead all Western Conference guards.
Cleveland’s James leads all Eastern Conference players with 665,849 votes, followed by Miami center O’Neal (646,085). Indiana’s Jermaine O’Neal (387,893) is second to James among Eastern Conference forwards.

Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers, the MVP of last year’s All-Star game, leads all Eastern Conference guards (638,999), followed by Miami’s Dwyane Wade (479,774).
