Maybe what will end up happening is they just re-release the PT and re-re-release the OT in 2007 for the 30th anniversary of ANH.

Considering it would be about a year away, one would think there'd be more news about it if it was going one way or another.

Yeah. Myself, I'm just waiting for the box set of the PT at this point. ;)

Well, I'd say a 6-pack of movies is more likely.

I'd like to see deleted scenes from the OT get in there.

I think they're both likely. ;)

Deleted scenes would be nice. I'm a big fan of those. ;)

This is what I was thinking of for 3-D...

From...you guessed it! Wikipedia:
Quote:

In late 2005 Steven Spielberg told the press he was involved in patenting a 3-D cinema system that does not need glasses, and is based on plasma screens. A computer splits each film-frame, and then projects the two split images onto the screen at differing angles, to be picked up by tiny angled ridges on the screen.

Oh, cool. And I can guarantee you that when this is done, George Lucas will be one of the first to make use of it.
