There is speculation that Ty Law will be returning to New England.

There has been speculation that Julius Ceasar has been assassinated.

You're a little late with the news there...ever since he left the Jets, there has been speculation that he'll return to the Pats.

It's the first I've heard of it. ;) And the speculation has grown because thus far the Pats have drafted all offense and an STer.

And speaking of special teams, the Pats have drafted kicker Stephen Gostkowski from Memphis. I have heard good things about him, and there is talk that he's going to be the only kicker on the roster come opening day.

Have you been living in a cave the past few weeks?

So, if he gets injured, and he's the only kicker on the roster...yeah that'll be good for the Pats, huh?

Nope. I'm just saying that Ty Law's name hasn't popped up in my presence until now.

And Vinatieri was our only kicker, too. A lot of teams only have one. And I'm sure we'll tell Gramatica not to go too far, just in case.

Some sort of formula based on net loss from free agency I believe.

I thought it had something to do with free agency and stuff like that, but I wasn't sure.

Yeah...it's like a combination of free agency, retiring players and whatever other ways a team could lose a player not by the team's choice.

So, I believe the Eagles didn't get a compensatory pick for cutting T.O., but I could be wrong about that one...cut players might be a part of it too.
