The St. Louis Blues have signed unrestricted free agent Bill Guerin.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Dallas Stars decided to buy Guerin out of his final contract year ahead of Friday's NHL deadline.

Guerin, 35, had a year left on his deal next season at $6.7 million US and Stars GM Doug Armstrong deemed that too expensive after the winger produced only 13 goals and 27 assists in 70 games last season.
