The Jockey
I decided to start this a bit earlier this year... we're a little less than 3 months off from the Kentucky Derby, which will be held on Saturday, May 5. We've got three prep races coming up this weekend, the Risen Star Stakes, the Whirlaway Stakes, and the San Vicente Stakes. The favorite for the Risen Star is Kentucky-bred Circular Quay. Other horses headlining the race include Notional, winner of the San Rafael Stakes last month, and Zanjero, who will be making the first start of his 3 yr old season.
Stay tuned for more later this week!

Street Sense made another come from behind at the end, but a late surge by another horse appears to have edged him out in a photo finish.

A reminder for anyone who wishes to watch the Belmont tomorrow - it is on ABC and not NBC. They broke up the set (idiots).
