The 2007 ArenaCup, the championship game of arenafootball2 (af2), will be televised nationally on the Comcast SportsNet family of networks for the second year in a row, it was announced today. The ArenaCup will be played this Saturday, August 25 at 8:00 PM ET at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, La. The American Conference Champion Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers (17-2) tackle the National Conference Champion Tulsa Talons (17-2) for the honor of being called the 2007 af2 Champions.

“We’re very pleased to have our national championship game televised on Comcast SportsNet’s family of networks,” said af2 President Jerry Kurz. “By partnering with Comcast SportsNet we are able to reach key sports markets across the country, spotlight the exciting sport of Arena Football, and showcase the Shreveport-Bossier City area. This gives our many loyal fans across the country that may not be able to see the game in person an opportunity to view the game from home.”

The game will be shown on the following Comcast SportsNet channels, including live broadcasts where indicated: Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Comcast SportsNet West (live), SportsNet New York, FSN New England (live), CSS, and Comcast Local in Detroit (live). Viewers should check local listings for broadcast times in their area.  The game is being produced by CSS.

But naturally, my local CSN isn't going to air it live, nor is it currently anywhere on their schedule at all. And this with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers in the game, too. <_<
