The Arizona Rattlers have made sports history today: the team has guaranteed their season ticket holders a trip to the playoffs, or a full refund…no strings attached.

“We are putting millions of dollars on the line,” said Rattlers managing partner Brett Bouchy. “However, we have full confidence in our new coaching staff, and look forward to returning to the playoffs in 2008.”

The campaign, unveiled today, is one of the most unique in sports history. There will be no caveats, clauses or fine print. If the Rattlers do not make the playoffs, fans will be refunded 100% of the cost of their season tickets by the team...period.

Full article.

Wow...that's quite a promise. That's gonna be a lot of money to shell out if they don't go to the playoffs...but I bet it'll bring good business.

The Board Idiot

Wow...if I lived in Arizona, and had the money, I might just buy season tickets because of that. Either see some quality AFL, or see lousy AFL and get my money back...not a bad scenario.

Seriously. Either way, the ticket-holder wins.
