Background info:

ok bear with me, this is my first story.

the Greans are the same race as the Grea Tevalt, but their culture is radically different, as you'll see this is about the Grea Tevalt which split from the Grean after the following events.

part1; "the Malen rising"
1001 years ago

The day had finally come! a large ship the size of Grea's smallest moon, "The Malen" (in Common its the explorer) was completed! The people of Grea can now leave their home system, and head for other stars and, possibly, other intelligent races. this day is the greatest day in Grean history! :D

part 2; "the first expedition"
1001 years ago

Three months after the completion of "The Malen" the first interstellar expedition left Grea, captained by Tevalt "the long lived", after the longest festival in Grean history. 30 fine ships, lead by their flagship, "the Malen" prepared to jump. coming out of the jump, into the nearest star system, they saw a rather large battle going on between two groups, later identified as, the Coi and the Yukkar, the latter of which sent a small detachment of ships to immediately attack the Grean expeditionary fleet. the peaceful Greans, without weaponry, lost 16 ships before jump backing to the Grean solar system, un-followed. this event soon cooled the peaceful Grean's exploratory attitude. :(

part 3; ""The death of Grea"

Decades after the disastrous first expedition, the Greans had made better relations and better contacts. they learned that their first expedition had taken place towards the end of the fifth interstellar war. The Grean people still live in their home system alone. although they have relations with other intelligent races, they are still peaceful, they are still doomed...

A strange ship comes out of a jump at the edge of the Grean system, just outside of the twelfth planets orbit. The Greans try contacting it as it moves towards the twelfth planet, but there is no response. Then, the strange ship starts to change! it elongates into a long cone shape with the flat end facing the planet. The strange ship then proceeds to ram the twelfth planet! the twelfth planet is smashed apart! the Greans are appalled! but the confrontation isn't over, and as the Greans are peaceful they have very few weapons, which have no effect on the hostile ship! the ship continues on towards the eleventh planet, destroying it as well, and repeats this pattern until it reaches the seventh planet, Grea itself! The Grean evacuation was underway, but only twenty-five percent of the population could be saved, what with the few ships they had, and the evacuees from the outer colonies. as the last ship, "The Malen" left orbit, the strange ship rammed, and destroyed, Grea, the proceeds to jump away, and has not been seen since. :o

Part 4; "Tevalt rising"

It has been two years since the destruction of Grea and the other outer planets, and the Greans still have yet to recover. the remaining six planets/colonies are overcrowded, their culture is splitting at the seems, they are spiraling toward their own destruction. Tevalt "the long lived" is the leader of one political faction, composed mostly of the refugees from the outer planets, "the Dwaithrallen" (or the avengers in common) wanted to hunt down the race that destroyed their home world and commit genocide on them. many other groups included, returning to their roots, asking for help in rebuilding Grea (like earth was), leaving the Grean system behind and looking for a new home, and letting the cosmos take them all (those who have given up on life). of course none of them could agree about anything except that the Dwaithrallen were extremists, and this resulted in Tevalt, his followers, and any who supported him to be banished. when this happened almost all of the refugees and families of the deceased left with Tevalt, taking the Malen as their flagship, which they rechristened "the Dwaithrall" (the vengeance in common) as they left they all vowed to follow the strict code that Tevalt set forth for their mission of revenge. some of the laws from the code involved not settling on planets or starting colonies, no having more than seven offspring, not withholding information about the quest, and not questioning how Tevalt lives so long. no one argued (because it meant getting spaced), but many had qualms that they kept secret. Tevalt quickly became the undisputed ruler of these Grean outcasts, but their trouble had just begun, their fleet of almost half of the Grean ships was overcrowded, and they had little weaponry on their ships. they proceeded to raid the small planets of insignificant races for supplies and ships, all under the command of Tevalt "the long lived". After a few years they had worse problems then these, they simply had too many ships and people for one fleet... <_<
