Epic Failure

Angelic Appears to have the body of a small kitten, with a set of wings that aren’t directly attached to its body, but instead float an inch above it, near the back area. Wings usually vary from appearing to be angelic, to seeming dragon-like, though they all are of miniature size. If the creature wishes to take flight, the wings then enlarge, becoming about twice the size of the creature’s actual body. Angelics also have razor sharp nails, which can be retracted. Their final feature would be translucent ribbons, which form where each leg starts, and then wrap down around the leg, usually floating just an inch or two away from it, stopping only just before the paw. Note: The wings can be any color, and there have been cases where one wing is angelic, and the other wing is dragon-like. Aphire At first glance, the Aphire appears to be a feline creature the size of a full grown cheetah. However, upon closer inspection, it is easier to see how the two differ. Unlike most felines, the Aphire possesses not two ears, but instead four. There are two to either side, one right beside the other. Their tails differ as well, given that Aphires and three tails, which are twice the size of their bodies, and covered in hundreds of small, metal spikes, making them dangerous weapons. Also, more spikes can be found upon the creature’s face, where three large, steel spikes are found upon either side. These spikes can be retracted, but only by Aphires that are of the teen stage or older. (Those below the teen stage are unable to control their spikes, making it difficult for those that care for them.) Another way Aphires are unquie would be when it comes to their teeth, which are among the sharpest of all creatures. Owners of Aphires must again watch themselves due to this, given that the teeth may rip through skin when even the slightest amount of pressure is applied. Finally, the Aphire’s fur is composed of two solid colors: a lighter color for the front half, then a darker color for the back starting at the middle of their body. Black Stinger Usually a name like ‘Black Stinger’ conjures up thoughts of nasty wasps and hording bees, but the true Black Stinger is nothing of the sort. Where is it is small, no larger then a rabbit, it has the shape of a miniature deer – characteristic white spots on young, constantly attentive ears. The only difference is, other then its size, is the two black wings that sprout from its shoulders and the yellow stinger placed on each back hoof that it nabs enemies with when in flight. They’re amazing adept to rainy, dreary places, swarming in damp forests and nasty swamps, protecting food sources from enemies like the ridgeback to the last beast. Thick skin is the only thing that can ward off it’s paralyzing sting, giving it the reputation of being quite dangerous and aggressive. Bouin To most, the Bouin is a true oddity as far as creatures go, though given its appearance, perhaps that might be true. Bouins are truly simple creatures, which possess large, circular heads that happen to be a strong as steel, making them rather good for ramming into things. Like most creatures, they possess two eyes, no nose, and no ears, despite the fact they can still hear and smell. Moving on, from beneath their heads, which also act as their bodies, countless slimy, thick tentacles appear. These tentacles have several purposes, the first of which would be to enable Bouins to move about on their own. This is possible as the tentacles slide smoothly about any sort of surface one can imagine at the creature’s will. A special slime that coats them also makes it so the creature always has a firm grasp about the surface, which simply means they usually have control over how fast and where they go. Another purpose of the tentacles comes into play mostly during battle, though it can play a role in everyday life as well. The tentacles can grow in length at the Bouin’s will, and the creature can grow only a few tentacles at a time, if they choose, leaving some shorten or of varying lengths. Usually, the tentacles are grown when the creatures wish to take hold of someone or something. Also, Bouin can generate various slimes, each of which do various things. However, there are limits to the slime produced, such as how much can be produced of each slime, and how long it takes for a slime to be produced. Usually, one slime can be produced every hour, and four different batches of slime can be produced per day. Furthermore, each slime tends to last for only thirty minutes to an hour, after which it becomes powerless. Now, such limitations may make the slime factor of the Bouin seem pointless, but given the abilities of each slime, they truly are just the opposite. {Currently Known Slimes: Blue Slime: A sort of thick, strong slime which hardens within ten seconds of being placed. Anything that touches it gets stuck to it, with the exception of rubber objects for some reason, thus making it a sort of superglue at times. Is impossible to get off when placed upon something, at least, not until it wears off itself. Black Slime: Also known as the paralyzing slime. Paralyzes any body part it should come in contact with directly. Clothing must not be present about the body part, or else it will not work. The slime’s effects can be lifted before it wears off, though only if the proper medication is given. [Medicine is common; easily found in hospitals and pharmacies.] Red Slime: Works as a blinding slime. It should be obvious, but just to make it clear, this slime blinds a person upon contact with their eyes. Does not work through glasses; contact must be direct. There is no way to lift the blindness early; one must wait for the effects to wear off. [More slimes are to come, though these are it for now.]} Koku Kokus appear as small wolf-like creatures, though they possess giant panda ears in place of normal wolf ones. Their front paws are also lacking hair completely while being two times the size of the back paws. Finally, they have no tails, and extra sharp claws equal to razors take up each of heir four paws. They are mostly known for their razor claws when it comes to battle, though their teeth happen to be equally sharp. ![]() Mebach Mebaches possess the basic bodies of large lizards, though they are covered in a sort of skin similar to the flesh of humans and people in general. They also have two, thin tails, rather than one, both of which are topped with large spheres. These spheres are used to sense the presences of shadows, the spheres able to detect those without souls and those with tainted blood. The spheres usually take on two colors: light blue when shadows are not present, and dark red when they are within the general area. Besides the tails and spheres, mebaches also have a line of spikes running from their heads to their tails, though these spikes can be retracted when not in use. They are often used to pierce the skin of opponents, and they act as excellent weapons when mebaches are lacking energy to use other attacks since they can be detected as well, and aimed at opponents. When spikes are detected, it takes several minutess for new ones to form. Mistren Given the body of a small dog, this creature appears as an oddity with its large, floppy rabbit ears that come down to its paws. Its three fox tails are also somewhat odd as they take the place of its normal dog tail, and fan out behind it. Each tail is usually tipped with the color of black, dark red, or silver. Upon the center of its head rests what appears to be a flower bud, its hue normally pink or purple. Mistren are often known for this flower buds holding various poisons, some of which can be fatal. Another key feature of this creature would be their nails, which are razor sharp and are kept retracted on their paws when not in use. Besides this, they are also famous for their ears that can pick up sounds from hundreds of miles away, if trained and used enough. These creatures can grow to be quite large or quite small, depending on their body structure. Ridgeback The offensive counterpart to the plateback, the ridgeback is more of a weasel then an armadillo, with short legs and sharp, piercing teeth. Born with the ability to kill, this animal is more common and widespread then it’s relative – it doesn’t grow as large and eats whatever and whoever it can, giving it the advantage over it’s competition. It’s not unheard of to see a ridgeback snacking on a plateback pup, if it ever strays into the Souko Mountains – in fact, sometimes it goes there just to get one. If caught before it turns totally wild or bred in captivity, it makes a good companion. About the size of a dog, some people treat them like they were actually were mans best friend. ![]() Shano A rather simple creature with the body of a small snake and a set of miniature wings on its back towards the center. The wings are usually either a pair of miniature angelic ones, or miniature dragons ones, though rarely a mixture of the two can be seen. Normally, the angelic wing is either black or white, meanwhile the dragon one being a darkened hue of some sort. The wings do serve a purpose as they increase in size dramatically when the creature needs to take flight. One common mistake made about shanos would be that many believe they are weaker creatures, but with one bite from them while their fangs are glowing white, and one becomes poison with a special poison that can cause death or the removal of a limb if not treated. Shashi Being one of the rarer creature breeds, shashi are among the few breeds that actually can change their shape, though they only have two forms- one of a young human child, and the other of their ‘true’ self. When their morphing between the two forms takes place they are covered in a golden glow, which quickly dies after the transformation is complete. While in their true form, shashi possess the bodies and heads of young wolf pups, their size never being too large or anywhere near. Their ears, however, take on the form equal to that of a hamster or mouse as they are circular, and stick upward. On either ear a star or moon rests, the coloring always differing, though the shape and location never changing. From these marks it is often known the creatures release a wondrous scent that attracts any and all beings they desire to them, just as long as they think of the race/breed they wish to lure towards them. Their tails are lacking completely, and their paws seem to be covered in small, miniature pads that can latch onto the ground to help them stay in their place. These pads are of a silver or golden hue, and are pretty much like super glue in the way it takes a lot to get them to let up. When in their human form, shashi appear to be young children no older than five with their hair taking on the general color of their fur, and often being unbelievably long so it reaches past the ground. Their skin tones are often light, and seemingly sickly pale with their eyes being dark. They only carry a star or a moon on either of their palms to show that they are in fact a creature, rather than an actual human, though they can also release the same enchanting scent from the marking while in their human forms to attract desired beings. {*Notes: The following is a key of what each color means as far as how common/rare a creature is: Rare {1/10 Chance of Getting} Uncommon {4/10 Chance of Getting} Common {5/10 Chance of Getting} Credits Black Stinger, Ridgeback: Mebach: Protothor Shano Image: |
