"What the hell are you talking about?" The demon had moved, apparently, and now stood quite a ways away, a hand on his hip and his eyes narrowed. 'I'm waiting for you!" Akatake chuckled at his twin's antics, turning to Chiriko with a smile. "Sorry, he loves playing jokes like that. Shall we join the idiot though?" He offered a hand, something nearly unheard of in demon realms. A demon offering a human a hand? Strange things abound my friends, strange things abound...

((Should we perhaps do a time jump? We seem to be taking forever to leave the town. xDD))

Maybe not so strange, but who knows in the crazy world? Chiriko, without hesitation took his hand and so it's off they went.

It really only took a few minutes for them to be outside of the town, and at the surroundings. Really there was an open field of what they could go to. Some place a sneak attack wouldn't happen. But who knows yet again? So time went by as they travelled forward. That is until movement not of their own made it's way behind the little trees, seemingly all around them.

It's so easy to destroy and condemn.
Do you ever wonder if it's justified?

"Hm?" Walking ahead of the two, Kurotake froze, hands folded behind his head as he glanced around, stormy eyes narrowed and wary. Gracefully pointed ears were tuned to all sounds as he searched the tree line, a suspicious frown playing upon his lips. "Aka?"

Oblivious to any danger, Akatake glanced at his twin, raising a slender brow at the slightly younger demon. "Kuro, chill. I don't sense anything of great power around here, and you know that no one's stupid enough to attack a pair of demons in the open like this."

"Hn.." Kurotake frowned, directing his gaze at his brother before nodding with a sigh. "Guess you're right," he turned back to the front, a wary look still playing within his eyes and upon his features, "but I still can't shake the feeling that we're being watched.."

Chiriko rather intent notice on the ground however. Seeing as that something scampered by, larger than any creature shuld be around here. But ifi t was just an animal, then that would be stupid of her to be worried over that. ANd it's true she didn't feel much either; however, that usually meant there was anyone there or sometihng more powerful than their compabilities was hanging around as well. Whatever it was, didn't seem to be showing itself just yet.

CHiriko just had a feeling she couldn't shake off. A feeling of shearing pain in her chest. Not something normal. She hadn't felt it in years.

"Well, come on you two. The field broadens over there." Akatake smiled and pointed. "We can rest there until you both can shake that feeling." The elder demon gave a wider smile and tugged at Chiriko's hand, urging her towards the warmly-welcoming area that Kurotake was already reaching.

The pasture was of golden grass, stretching up to the sky to suck up its succulent rays. It was typically empty, devoid of anything accept for a large gray stone and a giant old oak tree. It was towards this tree that Kurotake pranced, a grin on his lips as he happily jumped up into the tree's branches, taking a seat on a particularly large one. The demon gave a contented 'hn' and leaned back against the oak's broad trunk, hands folded behind his head and eyes closed. "Nice place," he mumbled, purring softly when a cool breeze picked up. Emerald leaves rustled all around him, sprinkling dots of light against the demon's slumbering features. In seconds, the wind dyed down and the leaves returned to their original places. But not before one stray ray of light touched his dark horn, making in shine like ivory. Not in joy, but in annoyance. Apparently even the demon's horn disliked the sun.

Meanwhile, Akatake pulled Chiriko towards the rock, gesturing at it with a hand. "Kurotake's taking a nap, perhaps you'd like to sit?"

"Oh sure. Okay." That being said, Chiriko slid down onto the rock. The pain only continued and even worsened, as she had sat down."Sorry, it was just a gut feeling I have, that's something was and is wrong, you know?"

But what was only small skitters, became footsteps from unseen forces. Which was rather strange, since it was prety much an open field. CHains erupted fro mthe ground and circled Akatake and Chiriko both, holding tightly as it their life depended on it. Which was kind of weird, since chains don't have lives. Not just the chains appeared, but figures shaded in by the rays of the sun. One standing above the rest.

Akatake nodded. "I understand what you mean indeed. Kurotake gets that all the time, and I suffer from in on occasion. Just no--" The demon never finished his statement, replacing it with an enraged--and surprised--growl as he found himself swiftly bound in tight chains of iron. "What the hell?!" The curse fell from his lips with an unfamiliar tone, as if he were unused to saying it. The one who was used to it, however, was wakened by its utterance.

Blinking bleary orbs, Kurotake glanced down, confused beyond all words. Seconds passed before he was fully awake, but when he was he let out a loud growl and jumped from the tree, landing behind the newcomers. "Who the hell do you think you are?!!" Ah. Coming from his mouth, the word sounded not only natural, but actually like a curse word.

"The one who owns the little girrrl." Soon as those words were said, chains also binded Kuro. "But just for the big 'companions of yours, Desante or what do you call yourself? Chiriko wasn't it? I'll be sure to give them extra." And with that even more chains strung up from the ground and doubled over around the chains from before.

"What are you talking about?! I don't even know you! Let alone knowing I had a second name that I never knew about," Chiriko managed gasp out, struggling against the chains and the pain. "Whoever the hell you bastards are, you've got the wrong fuckin' person!"

Akatake coughed slightly as his bindings became tighter, and Kurotake gave a light hiss of pain before growling angrily. "Why you...." He snarled again and began to struggle, demon strength stretching some of the chain links as he moved. At the same time, small balls of dark fire began to flicker into form around him, becoming bigger and brighter by the second. "What the hell did we do to you?! Let us go and maybe I won't rip out your throat!"

Akatake, meanwhile, merely narrowed his eyes. Not as strong as his twin, he had no hope of weaving out of his bindings, but he did have /other/ abilities. And one of them happened to be a very sharp wit and mind. It was this that he used, carefully stashing every bit of information he could get about the newcomers in an endless memory for future reference.

A flicker of abnormally dangerous green glashed in Chiriko's eyes, becoming a slightly glow. Chiriko was just aout to say something, but the stranger cut her off. "You do remember last time when you lost your temper don't you? I think those friends of yours would like to keep their heads." The flash and glow faded away, and Chiriko closed her eyes and lowered her head; not even questioning how they knew of that

So the shadowed figure continued. "We have nothing particulary against you, you just have things that we want. And we're here to take them." A slight sneer seeped into the last of his words. A sharp chain of lighting surrounded the base of Kuro's and Akatake's horns.

Perking up only slightly, Chiriko struggled some more frantic as to what they were doing now. "What the hell are you doing?!"

"Taking part of what we want." The simple answer.

Stormy and crimson eyes both widened in shock, as unimaginable pain began to erupt from their very being. They closed their eyes tightly against the flurry of pain, clenching their teeth and bowing their heads slightly.

Demon horns are harder than rock, the most solid and powerful bone ever see by human or immortal kind. Able to crush diamond with ease, a demon's horn--or horns--is their very life force, the source of their power and their immortal being. However, their horns are their weakness as well. Meaning that without them, they'll die in minutes.

Usually that isn't a problem. After all, there are few things that can take a demon's horn from the demon. But, if something powerful enough can, then the stealer of the horn will be granted all of the demon's incredible power. That's why they are sought after so much. Especially those of single horns. One horn means more power in one place, after all.

The lightning, running along the weakest place on a demon, was mind-blowingly painful. Both demons, each very used to pain, were hardly able to resist the need to scream. "S-Stop it!" Kurotake snarled, opening one stormy orb. "Stop it!!"

Instead of lessening, the lightning only intensified as to remove their horns. Chiriko continued to squirm, now very frantic about the whole thing. "Stop it stop it!"

Both demons screamed in unison, the lightning severing through the harder-than-diamond bone taht connected the dark horns to their very life. As if feeling their very souls ripped to pieces they continued to scream, their auras of light and dark erupting about them in an unbelievable display of pure power. Akatake's was first to fall, the light of his life force swarming around it as a loud crack sounded and the horn fell to hid the ground with a light thud. He gasped as the pain multiplyed by tenfold, eyes as wide as he could go and voice gone. The demon coughed, blood of a deep crimson staining the golden grass as he collapsed against the chains in a deep state of unconsciousness.

"A-Aka!!!!" Kurotake roared his rage, stormy eyes glowing with the power that foretold of a hidden power. Streams of fiery ebony tendrils exploded from his body, reaching towards everything in sight and searing everything it touched. But, it was for naught. Even though he lasted a full minute longer than his twin, his life force began to swirl around his horn, the shadow of the immense power it held darkening the area within a five foot radius of the youthful demon. And then, with a crack like lightning and a thud like thunder, the horn dropped to the ground and Kurotake collapsed, in a death like faint shared with is twin.

"Oh god... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Chiriko softly whispered, hanging her head. Feeling absolutely and completely, utterly useless. Sickening feeling.

A sudden crick and one of the figures, was down, in half. A flash of dark purple went across the field, and another figure was done and out. All there was left was the 'master' himself. Appearing in his figure glory was a rather over-sized wolf. Dress mostly in purple, with red decorations all over its body. A darker red, colored the eyes of the wolf. Instead of one tail, 'twas two. With a tackle the last figure was down, and the chains that binded them disappeared.

Chiriko fell with a short thump, and before the wolf 'demon' creature was able to make a final attack the figure disappeared, and unfortunately the removed horns too. Taking no time at all, the the creature pulled Kuro over to Chiriko and Aka, since it's kind hard without hands to drag someone. "Don't worry, I have something that will help, but you're gonna have to do it fast. I'll only say this once."

Then the wolf-like creature, dropped a pouch; that had been around his neck the entire time, and filtered out were two stones. One light colored, the other dark-colored. "I'll do Kuro since there's no time, but take the light stone and place it where his horn used to be, and transfer energy through it. JUst so he can stay alive until the power stone takes effect. God fuckin' damnit, there's no time to explian everything, but just do that and everything should work."

"Uhh, alright alright," Chiriko managing to gasp out. After being choked to death by chains, talked to by a this creature thing and with her only friends in the world dieing. What a great day. Chiriko hurriedly picked u pthe lighter colored stone, and scrambled towards and beside Akatake. The creature picking up the other stone as and placing it on Kuro's forehead. A light surge of dark purple-colored lighting went through the stone and into Kuro. Soon the stone melted away. Leaving a mark of the moon in place of where his horn would be.

For Aka it was similiar. Instead of the wolf-creature it was CHiriko, and instead of black lightning it was a short gust of wind, and FINALLY in the place of his horn was a symbol of the sun.

The wolf let out a small sigh of relief and layed down. "I didn't know if I could make it time. Been after these guys for months on end. I'm not gonna ask what your connection is; but, how'd this happen? Aren't you powerful enough to sense these things?"

"Hey you know what, I thought I was. But yet in the whole damned thing I was totally useless. I didn't know what I could do, if there was anything..."

"Stop it stop it, what's done is done."

"But you're sure that they're gonna be okay," Chiriko asked, pulling Akatake close to her.

The wolf thought for a moment, but replied. "Pretty sure, afterall from the reaction of the stones, their bodies haven't rejected them. But it WILL be wierd for them. They're drawing from another power and of course they're without something,. It's like you losing your arm, is to what this is for them. You can stilluse everything else, but it just won't be the same."

Akatake sighed with the stone's entry, swiftly slipping into a calm slumber meant to heal. His twin, however, was a slightly different story.

The stone had not entered his being smoothly, his entire will fighting against its melding with him with a fearful whimper. Eventually, the stone won over and melded with him, but instead of taking to a healing slumber, the demon awoke with a groan of pain.
