‘I told you it would be” Hikari said, tracing the outline of the word once more. “why don’t we just ask for a new box? Or try and cool this one down?” she suggested. She looked at the box, the snow around it melting slowly. You’d think the snow would cool it down really, like when you put a pan that’s just been used under cold water and it cools down, but no, this box had to be difficult. |

"In time I will, but for now I'm content with this burning cube..." Mers said, shrugging. Pacing around the box in a circular manner he tried to stay above the snow, but failed, each time sinking after staying on top for a moment. His armor was too heavy for that sort of thing. It was a pity, he would have liked to walk on snow, as odd as it was it had some fond memories laced in it. But they wouldn't reveal themselves to Mers, his mind being a barrier of it's own. |

Hikari stood and walked over to Mers and the box, erasing whatever she had traced in the snow once more. It was almost as if she didn’t want anyone to see it. She stumbled slightly, not noticing a small rock hidden by the snow. “Stupid rock…” she mumbled under her voice, looking quite annoyed. “Can I have some ice?” she asked, the ice melting almost as soon as it disappeared. Well the box was still hot, and would be for a while “I wonder what would happen if I asked for alcohol…”she thought out load. |

"It would boil, and the glass might shatter..." Mers said plainly, before turning to her, "And we wouldn't want that, now would we?" He didn't know why he used 'we' this time, he just did. It seemed to fit though, so it stuck in his mind, "I want the box to be cool..." THe box appeared to do nothing, but it was cool now, at just the right tempurature. |

“Huh?” Hikari said, rather surprised. She hadn’t realised she was talking out load. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to say that out load”. Hikari said weird random things sometimes, almost always without noticing. It was probably just a phase, it was hopefully just a phase. “Do you think it worked?” ((Meet the worst writers block in the history of writers block)) |

Mers smiled, "I'll try it again..." He said walking over and picking it up. This time there were no screams or burns, just a box, carrying it back over to where they were he held it out towards her, still grining, "You may ask for your booze now." He was definatly relaxed now, after all, he had just said 'booze', rare for him but common for others, that was just they way it worked in mordern ideology. All about chance instead of reason, a shame but it was life. |

She smiled at him, under her mask. “Can I have a bottle of red wine and a glass?” she asked. It appeared in the box just as she finished her sentence. That was her escape from life, apart from the whole being dead thing. She never really asked how she could get drunk when she wasn’t alive, meaning her blood didn’t pump around her body. It was weird really, and the question would probably remain one of the unanswered hell spawn questions. “Would you like some?” she asked, realising she had only asked for one glass. |

"Only if you wish it," Mers said nodding, thinking back on his thoughys on acohol, he didn't drink it often, but it was more of an event thing for him. Even when he did get drunk he didn't act like it, he seemed, normal. Which perhaps was odd, for him of couese, but the question remained. What IS normal for him, let alone anyone. He tried not to think so high scale but he couldn't help it, it just happened. |

“Well you can always just ask for a glass if you want some” she replied as she opened the wine and poured it into her glass. She seemed to stare into the glass for a few minutes, her lifeless eyes watching the red liquid slosh around in the glass, before she finally removed her mask once more and took a sip, smiling as she did. “So where you from then?” she asked after a few more minutes passed. |

"I'm from the cold heart of Russia,or at least, that's what I'm told, my accent doesn't really show up, after all, they fried to makeme drop so I could speak 'unimpaired'," He finished, nodding. After a moment he he shrugged and asked for a glass, getting it and pouring himself a glass, "What about you?" He asked, refering toher origin. |

Well that was a question that she couldn’t answer. Where was she from? Where had she originally lived? Once she was told that, judging by her name and clothing, she was from Japan, but she could never be sure. The only place she knew was hell, but that wasn’t where she originated. “I’m not sure where I’m from” she said finally “I have been told that I probably came from Japan, but I’m not sure” |

"That was what I would have guessed," Mers said, looking her over.He had a strange thought, about where they could have come from, but he quickly pushed it away, it was absurd after all, could they have know each other frombefore this? No, he would have remembered, his memory was foggy but he could always remember people, well, almost always. |

“So then how did you end up here?” Hikari asked. She didn’t actually know where ‘here’ was. She did know they had been somewhere before they appeared in this room, sure she didn’t know where it was, but it was somewhere. Though, truth be told she didn’t know where Japan was, the person who told her she was probably from Japan explained where it was too her, but, like with everything else, she had forgotten. |

"I was, um," He tried to think, "I was trying to get something, then I just fell, into this..." He didn't know where 'this' was either, he just knew it was big, and it was powerful. After all, he had never seen something just manafest objeccts and scenery, it was the stuff of dreams. |

“I think I was on my way somewhere, I don’t know why or where though, then I just sort of…fell” she tried to think. Where had she been? Why was she going somewhere? Was she even going anywhere? This was too confusing. For now Hikari thought she would just sit and drink. So that’s what she did, she sat back on the rock that she had previously been perched on and took a swig of wine. |
