A complete circle...

When you’re lost, they say you go in circles, going back to where you started from time and time again, the same was true for Hensen, in his wandering he had made a loop, coming back to the same city that he so eagerly left. He strolled into the town, looking around happily, until he same the large building that carved its way into the sky, the same one he had seen earlier, when he had met with the priest. He should have stayed, but he knew that other soldiers like him were out there, after all his radio had registered that a similar TR receiver had picked up his signal.

Sighing loudly he stopped, “Arg, This is hopeless!” He yelled, not seeing anyone to hear his complaints, he trudged over to the sidewalk, out of the street that he had been traveling on without much trouble, it seems like there was no traffic here, it was almost eerie. Oh who was he kidding, it WAS eerie, and he had seen nearly no one, save those scary shape shifters.

"This is all his fault..." Hesen grumbled, putting his hands on his face and leaning forward, when he refered to 'his fault' he was refering to his father, the one that had gotten him into TR. The blasted company that assigned him to that unstable post, he was just standing there and now he was here, stuck with no one.

(UCCH! Its short and bad, but hey, its early morning and I'm at school and its ear;y!_)

His lungs hurt from all the running, no they didn't hurt, they burned, the searing cold air and the overdrawn running had tapped all the energy that the soldier had to offer. Which wasn't much after all, he was just a fraction of what the other soldiers where that had come here, a poor little ensign. But he was content with that, he never even wanted to be in the army. It seemed though, his opinion meant nothing to his father, it was always met with a push back towards the armed forces.

"Why did you have to put me here?" He whispered now, letting his body drop to a sit on the lip of the sidewalk, his gun clattering against the hard ground as he did so. He should have cared more for the little amount of protection he had, but he didn't think that way, he didn't think about the future. It was all about the present, and how he felt at the moment, it wasn't logical, but when you think about what had happened, logic wasn't a priority.

He sighed heavily, his breath creating a brief mist around him, then floating up into the air, disappearing into the dark sky. Night had set itself around him, turning the friendly building into dark nightmares, the reflection of glass casting its leer at him with every stroke. He felt like the world was trying to get him, in fact, it probably was. He inhaled through his mouth holding his breath for awhile and then releasing out his nose, the fog holding in front of his face for awhile before going away, something he had seen Vale do when he was still onboard the ship. It made him smile, he was glad to have a reminder of what he thought he could go back to, the easy days, when he knew what was going, well, at least better then he did now.

Bare, peach toned feet struck soundlessly against the cement walk that lined the streets, the lack of shoes aiding in the action of entering unnoticed. She’d adored silence so much, though she often found herself admitting some sounds, such as bloodcurdling screams, were better than the emptiness that currently settled about the area. It should have been freezing to her, especially since she wore nothing against her upper half, except for what was a mere scrap of fabric across her breasts. Some people called it a ‘sports bra’, but she gave it no name. It covered her breasts to a degree, and her Mark of Night completely, so that was all that mattered as she continued down the path.

Her legs were at least covered somewhat more, jeans taking place all the way from their usual starting point to her ankles. Denim was her favorite material, right next to cotton. Yet, in the end she tried her best to dress with as little clothing as possible. Clothes were just too restricting, after all.

When she spotted him, her lips must have yearned to curve into the perfect smirk, despite the fact she kept them in the straightest line one might have ever seen. Emotion was no good to her, and thus often discarded when given the chance.

“Hello there,” she spoke upon reaching within a few feet of Hensen. “It’s a lovely night to be out under the stars, isn’t it?” It was even lovelier for shadows, Viper had learned over her lifetime of countless years. If you were mortal, one still possessing their soul or purity of blood, then maybe it wasn’t as enchanting as it was terrifying, but that wasn’t the brown-haired woman’s situation. “You can almost see them so clearly when the sun dies completely.”

He let out a faint cry, turning in surprise and crawling backwards quickly, stopping after a few steps, he was clearly surprised, bits of fear played into his general emotion, he was a jumpy young lad, but you couldn’t blame him after all he had been dragged to another universe, throw to the ground, attacked by shadows, and had been wandering for the past few days. His gun rattled against the concrete as he slowed to a halt, still on his hands and his knees.

He rose to a stand quickly, dusting himself off and shaking his head, trying to drain the fear from his system, there was a woman before him, he had no time to be afraid! Standing up straight he looked her over quickly, memorizing her stunning features, she was gorgeous to him, most woman were, but fair beauties in scanty clothing were rare, especially ones that talked to him!

“Um, greetings!” He said fervently, a sheepish grin making its way to his face, “Uh, well, yes, the sky here is quite lovely, I’m sure it grows more exquisite as the sky darkens…” He nodded off, still gawking at her; he was entranced by her, the first woman he had seen that hadn’t come off as a threat, he was wrong about a woman again, so direly wrong…

“And when the sky darkens the shadows will play.” she added on, smiling, or more like grinning towards him. A few steps forward were taken by her, before she paused to look at the male she had started to speak to. “You aren’t afraid of shadows, are you?”

Her question was always fun to ask, merely because the answer barely differed. Who didn’t fear shadows? Probably the insane or the already transformed. Still, she asked it all the same.

“I used to fear shadows myself, way back when, but now they’re only normal people in my eyes. They bleed and they ache, plus they feel pain too. It’s amazing to believe people can become so scared of them just with threats of their soul being taken.” Her tone carried onward, normal and without shifting. This sort of conversation as usual for her.

“Shadows?” Hensen blurted out, he had known about the scary shape shifting creatures that lived here, but he did not know they were called shadows, “Regular aching people, ey? Well miss, that’s a bit of an odd philosophy, but I can see how you could think that way…” He shrugged; the last bit of her statement had yet to soak in. Standing his ground as she moved closer to him, still fighting the fear that ebbed at the back of his mind, letting sweet lust take over.

“No, I don’t fear the things, I have and had one following me all day, Hensen nodded, “But mines rather nice, he has yet to even try to take my soul…” He chuckled, pulling bits of wit from within himself. He kept his stare glued to her, his excited eyes, tracing her features, he felt blessed to have even seen her, to take her in. but if he could go further then that was all the better.

“Nice?” she wanted to laugh, but kept a straight face. “You’ll find few ‘nice’ shadows about this land,” Viper sighed, closing whatever space that remained between them in only several steps. Her fingers reached out to make contact with his body, their starting point being near his shoulders. The path they took traced a line down south, only until she brushed against his stomach, which was where she stopped and withdrew. “There are many more villainous ones that would rather carry out the sinful deeds of their mistress.” Leaning inward, she adjusted her position so she was able to place her mouth just near his ear.

“Like myself, for an example. Hoshiko’s a beauty, even if she refuse to admit it often. Once, we even shared a bed for a quick night of relief, if you would believe it. Might have been only a hundred or so years ago, if I remember correctly.” she whispered the entire speech slowly, allowing her hot breath brush against his flesh. She pulled back at the finish, wondering what reaction she’d earn. Some people would run from her, others merely stared. Even once she found a woman that begged to be transformed.

Hensen quirked his brow, despite the contact that she had made, “Seems I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled, I’ve only encountered the single nice one of mine. But alas, one that would like to do something a bit more sinful, that would be quite the find I’d say…” He finished, nodding in compliance, she was a bit forward, but he sure as hell didn’t mind, it made things all the easier.

When she whispered into his ear though, that’s where it started up in him that urge, the want, desire flaming against your body as it begged you to move, “Hoshiko? I’ve heard not of this woman you speak of, but I suppose I could learn of her, if she is a ‘close’ friend of yours…” He smirked, he had heard the ‘hundred or so years ago’ bit, he figured it was just an exaggeration; either that or she was some other humanoid, one with an obviously much longer lifespan. As she pulled back he grinned wickedly, waggling his eyebrows at her in a giddy sort of way, he would never tire of the time before the fun, the game of it all.

His lacking knowledge made her grin, to say the least. This would be fun.

“Yes, she is a close friend of mine, almost like a sister. We’re very adventurous together, and we do like to try new things.” Oh, Hoshiko would have her head surely when they met again, probably a day or two from now. Maybe she’d be excuse some punishment if she could transform him later on, or at least present him to her as a new slave. “We’ve yet to have some fun with a man, so maybe you’d be willing to help us out? We’ve got our own little hotel room down the street a ways.”

Were all men so quick to think with their organs? Viper knew the answer to this, but she ignored it. Hensen would be disappointed to find she was not the type to be topped, nor the type to allow a man to enter her. Women only, she’d have to get a sign like that and wear it if she ever hoped to get peace and quiet from the stupider of the sexes.

Hensen let out a distorted exhale; you could almost hear the surprise in his voice, but he quickly covered it with a bright aura of excitement, keeping his eyes locked intently on the attractive woman before him. Smirking widely now at the prospect both the lovely woman before him and the mentioned ‘Hoshiko’ that he would be quite happy to meet, how he loved this new world.

“Hensen Weighrit,” He said, taking a small bow, “Odd last name, but it does me well,” He added, nodding, wiping the smirk of his face, “And yes miss, I would be happy to help you two, especially if a room is offered, I have no place to stay…” He finished softly towards the end, not wanting to sound like some sort of hobo.

“I would be Viper Jenji,” she replied with a light tone. “The hotel isn’t too far away, though we’ll need to still do some walking. I do appreciate your willingness to aid us.” Towards her left, Viper turned. There was a hotel, and there was a room where she could take him. It would be at least a five minute walk, but surely it would be worth it in the end.

“You have no idea how long we’ve been searching for the perfect man.” Once there she could also drop the horrid act she was putting, which would be wondrous. “So, shall we begin?” Already she had started walking across the empty street, her eyes only going back to see where Hensen stood once or twice. “We must hurry, so please don’t lag behind.”

“Viper…” Hesen thought, “I think I like that one…” He nodded sincerely, standing where he was for a moment after she left, quickly walking after her within a second’s time. He wouldn’t let her just walk off, no that would be just plain stupid. He would follow, and he was glad of that, an excellent night with simple beginnings, couldn’t get much better.

“Quite ready,” He responded, following her still as she crossed the road, watching her completely, his feet catching every crag he passed, forcing him into a stumble, he didn’t care though. “Yes, I’m following you, don’t you worry…” He said, throwing his voice forward.

(Ugh, so bad…)

After five minutes of a silent walking, Viper stopped before a grand building that possessed multiple floors. Some fancy letter of golden make printed the name across its entrance, not that the female took note of it. She knew the place not by name, but instead by its appearance.

She entered without a sound, though the woman managing the front desk rose her head anyway.

“Regular room?”

“Yes, please. I have a guest with me that would like to have some fun.”

“Then there’s the keycard,”

Easily Viper had grasped the card, little than one action being required before it was in her hand. She turned back towards Hensen to give him a sinful look. “We’ll be going up two levels, aright love?”

Hensen followed, falling behind just slightly to look at the huge building, noting the name in case he may need it for god knows what. Shaking his head he briskly walked after her, moving through the door much louder then she had, a reminder that he wasn’t all that nimble. Looking over his shoulder then forward he shrugged, coming up next to her at the counter, turning to look at her when she obtained the card.

“Sounds reasonable enough…” Hensen nodded to her, taking her gaze with much joy, “Two floors isn’t that far after a short walk like that,” He folded his arms across his chest, looking at the keycard briefly, then back to viper, no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t break free from her for more then a few seconds, his mind was set.

“There’s an elevator we’ll be using, so we don’t actually have to walk.” Using her right hand, she was able to point out just what she had been talking about. There stood two elevators side-by-side just in the distance neither being used at the given moment. “The room is just after we get off as well, so it won’t take long.” Trusting that he would follow her the entire way, Viper walked to the first of the two devices, the ‘UP’ button being pressed with her index finger and the door automatically opening. Her step inside was soft and short, the same finger that had just been used quickly rushing to hold the doors open for him.

Once the two were inside the small compartment together, the button was released, and both the doors closed. They only opened again when the appropriate floor was met, a hallway of doors being their greeting.

“Over here.” Viper commanded somewhat sternly when she reached the door, pushing the keycard inside the slot. A click sounded when the door gave away.

Inside was one of the larger rooms the hotel had to offer, and one of the fancier ones at that. There was a king-sized bed in the center that had dark purple silken sheets with dark red pillows. The décor was of similar dark hues, both the walls and carpet being pitch black. There was only a miniature figure in the room off to the corner, and a bathroom that was of equally good sized, though closed off with a door.

“Hoshiko must be out, but we can still have fun together, can’t we?”
