“Well I most certain I have a spot of it here,” He nodded, gazing forward again, “I attain my wants in leisure, I let me needs do as they ill, not go on some epic quest to find reason, just so damn foolish I think.”

“I’ve just gone where I will and done what I please,” He tapped the spot of bench over her shoulder, “Gets me far enough.”

Shyrin smiled her queer little half-smile once more, slowly getting up from the bench and collecting her purchases. She straightened up and then leaned forward, bestowing a chaste kiss on Mers's forehead.

"I'm afraid I'm not so easily won over. I'm a woman, Mers. I enjoy living my life in somewhat of a dreary state, I'm afraid. And unless my knight in shining armor sweeps me off my bonnie feet at this very moment, I must be getting somewhere."

Mers seemed a bit disheartened for a moment, but just for that long, for a wicked idea was incubating in his now kiss-bestowed head. Taking his exposed undershirt he rubbed it on his breastplate, clearing a shine for a moment before standing.

“Well if that’s the case, Lady Shyrin-“ He broke, kneeling down and putting his arms one arm at the back of her legs, taking the other to her back and ‘sweeping’ her off her feet, easily lifting her up to hold her in his arms, a look of satisfaction in his eyes, “Then I’m happy to comply.”

Shyrin laughed, a loud pealing laughter that sounded like many bells chiming at once. Her cream-clad arms wrapping around his neck and resting her head upon his shoulder.

"You've done well, I'll admit. But I still can't give my heart or body away so easily. I'll happily accept a carting over to the bus terminal, however."

“Understandable, but I do my best doll,” Mers nodded, “I’m happy to carry you there though, direction please.” He requested a way point, for he was still new, to this town at least.

Though inside of him, a small brewing of anticipation grew.

"It's a little ways west of here." Shyrin nestled her head on his breastplate, closing her eyes as the warm sunlight was concentrated through the glass dome above. She felt weightless in that moment, and it brought shivers running through her. The last time she had felt weightless..

She'd been someone else entirely.

A small frown creased her fallen-grace features and the small fleeting rustle of worry trembled her lips. This brought up memories that were much better off staying deep inside under lock and key.

Mers turned on his heel, his thick boots tearing up the turf below as he started at exactly west, pacing forward evenly with no thought at all, only glancing down at her once he was sure he was going due west.

“Something wrong lass?” Mers asked, peering at her searchingly, wondering about the look on her majestic features.

Shyrin mentally shook herself and looked back up at her Knight, her lips curving upwards to calm him and herself. "I'm fine. Just a tiresome memory. They have a habit of disturbing me at the most inopportune times.."

She shifted in his arms, wincing as a touch of her delicate skin caught in one the crevices of his armor.

"Nothing for you to worry yourself over."

“Memories along the sweet fiber of time,” Mers cooed, “They do not worry me anymore, for I know what I did and I know what I am, not to be distraught nor displeased, only shaped, enthralled, and known. An enigma of the memory.” He spouted, peering at the sky, still marching forward.

“If you ask me to not worry then I shall not, Lady Shyrin,” He nodded, stepping over a rather large rock.

"How poetic. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for myself. There are things I can't remember, or my mind wills them to stay locked up, somewhere deep down and dark." She looked up at the Ghost that held her like a delicate flower. "Yet, I know what I have done but have no idea who I am." She held up an ebony hand with a tendril of gold weaving between her fingers. "Why am I this way, exactly? Why do I have the color of good and evil spiraling down by body?" Her strange eyes almost betrayed tears.

Who am I?

You're mine. All mine.

"Ach, it's getting late. Just a little farther now.."

“Understood…” Mers nodded in affirmation, taking her jabs and inquires into his mind, rolling them over in his head as he peered at the fine dame. Stepping over a few broken bits of concrete, he turned to come to their destination, turning and setting her down, moving a bit lower down her form to balance it out, sliding up back along her body before stepping back, giving an empty shudder as he basked in the curves he had subtly felt.

“Here we are then, darling,” Mers nodded, standing at attention.

Shyrin bowed and adjusted her hold on her purchases, sliding the handles into the crook of her arm. She smiled, thanking him and glancing around the empty bus station. A small boom of thunder sounded from above and she looked up to see the rain streaming down the dome. It was an odd effect, making the lighting in the sphere speckled and dreary. The shadow of water drops fled down Shyrin's body, dappling her face.

"Thank you, Mers. I think we'll meet again very soon."

Mers gave one of those ballroom style bows that gave a part to the whole body, giving a goodbye with some endearment term attached to the end of it, turning at the end of his statement and marching off into the placid darkness around the dome, quietly finding an exit so he could sleep comfortably in the rain, he needed he told himself, ‘toughens you up’.

“Mmm, gold,” Mers grumbled to himself, propping his back up against one of the uncovered buildings, glancing up into the storm, “And ebony, these are the riches of my home…”
