“Jirou,”

The name slid coolly from Jirou‘s lips, as familiar as could be. He was good at reading people, taking hints. Though, something about the kid still alluded him. “I am Jirou,” he reaffirmed, before turning towards Keegan. “This is my friend, Keegan. We were friends of your father.” A shiver made its way down Jirou‘s spine. Father did not seem fitting of their friend, the deceased. He was too young, too--- too much like them.

“We‘re not sending you back.” The idea was too lurid to consider. “You can come with us, I‘m sure. We can make negotiations, if necessary, correct, Keegan?” Another plead for assistance, another glance in Keegan‘s direction. He wouldn‘t let it go.
Where can your lipstick bring us?
Show me your magic,
Cool Guy.

Keegan's eyes quickly shifted away from his fellow doctor. Simply put, he was torn.
This child wasn't any of their business, but how could he stand to turn his back on him? On the other hand, he was sure that the boy wouldn't want to just go live with a couple of strange men, even if they were friends of his adopted father.
He tried to imagine what his friend would want for his so-called son...
Had he even gotten that far? Of course not... It wasn't like he had expected to die so soon.

Keegan could feel the tears welling up in his eyes again, and he knew that he needed to just stop thinking about it and leave. But with Jirou set on helping the boy, would he be able to get out of it? "Jirou... if he doesn't want to..." There was a hint of submission in his voice, however. He had never been good at denying people of what they wanted.
