THIS IS A BROBST TRADITION IN EVERY GAME I HOST. WHILE MY CONFESSIONAL DETAILS
THE GAME VERY INTRICATELY, THE "N's & Q's" ARE MORE OF AN OVERVIEW OF FUNNY
AND/OR ENLIGHTENING SNIPPETS FROM PLAYER MESSAGES AND BOARD POSTS, AS
WELL AS SOUNDBYTES FROM THEIR CONFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT THE GAME.

HERE ARE LINKS TO OUR PAST SEASONS' *NOTABLES & QUOTABLES* SECTION . . . .

Posted Image

What's up, guys and gals! So stoked to be here!

Hope the luck of the Irish is with all of you! :D

Posted Image

Eager to get to meet everyone. Humans & leprechauns both!

Posted Image

Hello everyone! Denise here. I gotta say this is the worst all-inclusive resort
I have ever been to. Where is the swim-up bar? Wait, this is SURVIVOR?

Is anyone naked yet?

Posted Image

I think Ozzy was.

But that was .... uhhhhh .... before Survivor.

Posted Image

I'm going to hold the naked card until there's some peanut butter & chocolate involved.

*Or whipped cream and strawberries.*

Posted Image

I've gotten naked for less.

Is that bad?

OOPS

~ EARLY MESSAGES . . . .

Posted Image

Hey Rudy! Good to meet ya. How are you getting around Ireland? I'm trying
to navigate as best as I can. Pretty cool stuff! Maybe we can catch up tonight?

Posted Image

I'll probably be in bed if it takes too long to catch up. I'm old so I have a short attention span
and very little patience. Not the best combination for making friends, but I am what I am.

Also, my feet hurt and I have gas.

Posted Image

Oh my gosh, Rudy - you're cracking me up! I know how much you love to complain.
But, suck it up buttercup. :) Making friends isn't easy on a board with 20 players.

So, I'll extend a hand to you and offer a beer.

Posted Image

I like beer. We're friends then.

Hey Joel! Everybody's been lovely so far.

Have you had a chance to talk to the other castaways much?

Posted Image

I've had the chance to introduce myself to a few of our fellow castaways, many seem
to be nice thus far. I'm excited to get to know everything. How is your evening going?

Posted Image

Doing alright. Interesting to hear people start speculating about what Brobst
might have in store for us.......

*CONFESSIONALS - Round 1 - PLAYERS - All One Tribe:

Posted Image

"Thirty minutes in with brief hellos exchanged with a few people. So nothing really to report as of yet.

But I did wanna go ahead & throw this up. Got a fun little title once again (*Trials & Tribulations with Todd*)

. . . . and I just gotta say . . . .

YOU GAVE ME MY NUMBER ONE F A V O R I T E SURVIVOR PLAYER OF ALL TIME

~ AND I AM FUCKING STOKED!!!!!

Seriously. Todd is the BEST and I'm crazy excited to play as him! I've played as him in one game prior and made it to the
Final Three -- but the Jury was less than pleased with how I treated them in the game. Apparently, I was the cocky douche.
Odd to think of that being me, but hey, perception is one's own reality after all.

We shall see what trials & tribulations await me in this game, though. I'm aware of what my mistakes have been in the past.
I think. Hopefully I can try and quash some of those. -I probably won't.- Let's be real here. How many of us TRULY learn from
our mistakes? We shall see!!!"

*takes a seat on the beach*

"It's amazing out here on the beautiful Isle of Ireland. The time for me to finally play Survivor has come upon me,
and I can't wait to hit the beach running. So as I'm sitting here, I would be remiss if I didn't start off with just a
few thoughts about our Survivors for the season:

Adam - no contact yet
Amanda - very little contact, late to the party so not much from her.
Brooke - Seems to have a nice friendly vibe from her so far.
Bubba - Seems to have a good head on his shoulders. I'm having a good time discussing things with him so far.
Cirie - no contact yet
Dave - very little contact after being late to the party.
Denise - no contact yet
Diane - Friendly personality that seems to be into the game.
Julie - Arrived later than others, little comments, but is ready to start playing.
Leann - Seems to be VERY active and ready to get this game going by discussing the theme and ideas about the game.
Michelle - no contact yet
Misty - no contact yet
Nick - just a basic hi how are you convo....
Ozzy - no contact yet
Rudy - Not sure if he's just playing up the 'Rudy role' or if he's someone with anger issues at the world.
Sierra - no contact yet
Todd - Seems easy to chat with so far, talkin' about food which is always fun.
Tony - I'm torn about him right now because he seems to be playing off the arrogant card in the first few small things
we've said to each other.
Zeke - I like Zeke so far. For coming someone late to the party, he seems to be jumping right into the foray and
I like what he's said so far in our few messages back and forth.

Now I'm off to go explore and enjoy the fresh water. Let's see if I can perhaps find myself a nice little idol
for any future needs."

*stands up and heads towards the caves*

"I was super excited to get my email today and log in, and then I had to leave 15 minutes later to go back to work
and was worried I would be home too late, but it seems like I got home just in time. A lot of active people right off
the bat. It's great to see, especially in an anonymous game, so hopefully people keep up the activity.

I'm excited to see the twists and turns this game has in store! It's hard to know how strong of relationships to build
because we're not in tribes yet ~ but I have thoughts on people so far that I think I could work well with, so we'll see
how the next few days go.

Tony was super quiet in his 1st message, then was all - 'what will the tribes be?' I think he realized he came off abrupt.
He's on my watch list. I don't know about him. His reply to my 1st message was just really brief compared to everyone
else who was all gung-ho. And his second message just seemed more out of the blue compared to his first.

I always like people who message right off the bat, and so Joel and Diane seem cool. But Zeke definitely seems to have
his head in the game right off the bat and I like that. I'm getting a good feeling about him, we seem to gel pretty well.
Everyone else is feeling each other out, myself included. It's always so hard to know what to say, especially when tribes
aren't made yet. I'm sure I'll have more over the next few days......"

Posted Image

"Tonight is it......... our first night in Ireland.

This is my 1st time playing an online game of any sort. According to the rules,
I'm not supposed to share that with anyone. Sort of like the 1st time I had sex.

Obviously, as a newbie I don't know what to expect, but I do know that:

****I can pretty much get people to do whatever I want.****

I've got an innate set of people skills that is a bit hard to quantify.

I fully expect to win this thing and have a shitload of fun doing it."

Posted Image

"IRELAND?!!!! Too excited to Sleep!!!!!

Can't stop my mind from whirling.......

Random thoughts:

Are we here in this village temporarily before we head to the actual location,
or is this like 'The Village' or 'The Prisoner?' Except in this village, escape would
NOT be the goal........ being the last one to remain here would be. Okay, but then
that would be more 'Lord of the Flies,' not 'The Prisoner.'

Soooooo.... (transitioning here, looking for a segue.... bear with me.... Bear. With. Me?!
Are there bears in Ireland?!) So ~ 'Lord of the Dance?' 'River Dance?' Are we going to
learn how to do Irish step dancing? Are we going to be stranded by a river? Are we
going to follow a rainbow to a golden doorway?? Is there an Underhill in Ireland
or whatever the Leprechaun equivalent of the elvish paradise/hell would be?!

Can't wait to see where this Survivor: Ireland adventure leads!"

Posted Image

"I must confess I have a serious crush on all the men.
I also confess that a lot of us already have an alcohol problem in the pub.
I confess that I wish the whole game was played in the pub with the guys.
I have no use for the women. I'm playing it cool with them making nice-nice.

I confess that I am already naked with Ozzy......."

Posted Image

"OZZY! :D
Ozzy! :)
Ozzy?
OZZY?!

My four reactions to Ozzy's four seasons. I'm hoping that the other players here would have one of the first two reactions
to Ozzy, but by the end of the season, I hope it's the third reaction but then also followed by the second reaction. As much
as I was hoping for an old woman, I can have just as much fun with Ozzy. I have to say, I'm looking forward to an alpha-male
character. I'm thinking that people may see the return of "Dawn" or "Charlie" this time around.

So last summer as "Heidi" was a lot of fun. Biggest reason it was fun was because of the eventual victory. Not flashy, but still
a victory. I got lucky with a lot of things, but in the end, I didn't do as much as I wanted to do. Now that I'm here in Ireland,
I'm looking to pull some #HurricaneOz moves. Game Changers has inspired me. That flip that I almost made last summer --
-- but then didn't? I want to make it happen this time. I want to get gutsy and take my chances with things even if it spells
game over for me, because I want to play this time with the courage of a mouse in a snake pit and the carefulness of a bull
in a china shop.

Dr. Oz is in the house!"
:D

Posted Image

Posted Image

"First off, my ass could not have been dropped in a more PERFECT place. This is my home
and my dream........ and I knew the second I saw that rainbow........ that pot of gold is mine!

So this girl is gonna have to get to work. ;)

Step one - get to know everyone! We all want the same thing & I can't beat them if I don't know them.

Unfortunately for me, I thought I'd play the sweet little Survivor girl card & go look for dinner. Got lost out
there and missed some very important time with everyone getting information. Also, the chicken got away.

For now, I'm DEFINITELY keeping one of my eyes on Nick. I can tell he's already busy in an effective way,
and until I get on the level I need to be on my own........ I need to for sure stay on his good side........"

Posted Image

"One of my biggest weaknesses in these types of games is my unwillingness to approach people first. I overthink
what the right thing to say is when I've never spoken to someone before, and as a result, I don't send a message
at all. That's obviously suicide in a game like this where those social connections are imperative right off the bat
and connections forged on day one can last the length of the game. Thankfully, this seems to be an eager cast
because while I sit here and fret over what to say to someone, I get three messages in my inbox. Responding
to greetings and inquiries, that's much easier for me to do than initiating those greetings.

For a moment though, I want to talk about Japan, because I think my game in that season is going to hang
over my head for however long I'm here in Ireland. That was my very 1st ORG. I made a lot of rookie mistakes,
and I still came pretty close to pulling the whole thing off. That gives me a lot of confidence coming in to this game.

I want to do something similar here. I want to find a 'Sally' (Lane), somebody who's intricately connected with all the
goings-on of the game & I want to attach myself to them. I want to ride deep into the game with them and cut their
throat at the right time while staying relatively quiet myself, but not too quiet! I'm still not sure if I'm cold-blooded
enough to do that, though....... I'm a softie at heart."

"I can't remember how I previously made the topics for Confessionals. I can't remember
if it was one long thread or if there were new topics for each important aspect or episode
or day. But I am going to do it as episodes this time. This is the PILOT.

***I don't have a strategy yet except to survive the small talk.***

I don't remember a lot of these characters. I'm barely sure who Leann is.
So, no need to try to play up the character then. :)

I'll be judging people based on their activity.

It's all I have to go on."

Posted Image

"Woohoo! We're in IRELAND? This is a sign. Good things must be in store for me. I'm feeling lucky.
To affirm that feeling, on the first night, we gathered in The Pub and ate like I've never eaten before.
As a way to start the game, our host let us all gather and share dishes and drinks to get to know each
other. I was impressed with everyone's knowledge of Irish fare. I just brought some whiskey. Figured
you can't go wrong with that. Otherwise, I was at a loss. I think I remembered something about Irish
people eating scotch eggs? Or maybe that's Scottish people. I figured that would be too complicated
for me to try and make, so I figured ~ bring alcohol and people will be happy. That seemed to work.

I'm really not sure how these people play.

*Sure don't wanna be the 1st one out.*

I'm feeling a bit nervous......."

Posted Image

"My strategy this season is going to be very different from the first time I played, in a number of ways.
First, the greatest mistake I made in Survivor: Return to the Amazon that doomed my game there was
my failure to forge strong interpersonal relationships with everyone on my tribe. Part of it was because
I didn't understand the RPG experience, and I was too caught up with the role-playing gimmick of it as
opposed to the interactions themselves. Nonetheless, this time around, my biggest priority is going to be
reaching out to every player in the game who I'm allowed to message, at any given point in time. If certain
people don't reciprocate, I have to rely on my instincts regarding those who do.

The 2nd thing I have to be aware of is how I present myself both on the public boards and in private messages.
Obviously, I have no idea how many (or even if there are any) people are returning for this season who I played
with in the Amazon. But I would guess the odds are that there will be at least some. That means I have to be
conscious of my writing style, since my overall style is very distinctive and specific; for example, I tend to use
double-hyphens, parentheticals, asterisks, and capitalization for emphasis quite a bit. So, my overriding goal
this season will be: keep all of that to an absolute minimum, insofar as my writing style, but still find a way
to be expressive and a clear communicator with my tribemates.

A challenging balancing act, for sure."

Posted Image

"AHHHHHHHHHH ~ Okay so this is a lot more than I thought it would be and I am absolutely
overwhelmed. The messaging system is weird and I didn't know that *The Pub* existed until
literally five minutes ago and I'm STRESSING!!!!!!! I don't know how to talk to these people
and I can't really explain why I don't know how because I'm not supposed to tell them that
I've never played anonymous before......... but I'm gonna do my best. I just wrapped up
my orientation for college so I can dedicate more time to figuring this thing out."

Posted Image

"As I look at the board of Survivors for this season, I have to wonder......

......Are we this lucky??? Or are we all skillful in the way we started?

Tend to think it is both at this point.

While the excitement is definitely 'brewing,' it is all about timing. Time to be agreeable,
time to play the game, time to get lucky with my skills....... and time to win!

With that being said, I must see if Bubba comes through with fish in his 'archaic' method,
or if my 'ingenuous' method of pointed spear seems to do the trick.

Necessity is currently the mother of all invention."

*cracks knuckles*

Posted Image

"I'M BACK!!!! :D

Wow, it's been two years since playing in All-Stars 2! Time seems to go by faster each and every year.

The stint as a moderator on Heroes vs. Villains was fun, but now I'm back as a player and I am very excited.

I've reflected on my past games over the time off, thought about how to improve and play differently. And I think
that I will be coming in to this season smarter and ready to finally get a WIN.

In the past, I think I became too attached to my allies. I'm not able to separate myself enough to see the big picture.
I tend to think in black and white terms....... my people versus all others.

I think I definitely will need to be more flexible. I do need people to tell me information. In that regard, I need allies.
BUT I do not need friends, in the game. I need to be able to separate friendship vs what is good for my game. I need
to realize sometimes there may be a move good for me - and not for my closest ally. And this time, I need to make it.
In past games, I don't think I would. But here, that's my goal. We shall see if I can actually make that change happen.

*And that transitions pretty well into the biggest takeaway of Day 1:

There was easily one person who I clicked best with today. And that was Todd.

He was far and away the best communicator I ran into. Now, some other players, I may have just not given enough
for them to respond back to. And I'll definitely explore other relationships. But as of now, he is someone that I can
envision being a close ally.

On the flip side, his communication is so good that today he's definitely the biggest person to watch out for here.
People that communicate well are good allies. But they're also those who'll win this game. Todd certainly seems
like someone who can win this game. I fully expect him to do well.

I'm marking it down now: *It is going to be tempting to view him as a close ally.* But I have to remember
that he's tough competition....... and ultimately will need to go before he takes me out.

Thanks for having me ~ and looking forward to a great season!"

Posted Image

"Just found my inbox full of messages. I just assumed nobody had messaged me, LOL.
Nothing like starting a few days behind the social curve! But I'll figure things out.

The hard part will be connecting with everyone when the time comes......."
