Methinks I should be cautious at this next challenge, given the title!

*CONFESSIONALS - Round 2 - WEXFORD:

Posted Image

"Well, no Tribal! That's always great, though a shame to see someone not show up and
have to be removed. The challenge seemed easy, yet some on our tribe didn't do so hot.
Todd was a fast poster - which is good - but he didn't follow directions.... posted reverse
alphabetical? And then he posted his thing a 2nd time.... not sure why. Adam struggled
a bit and was at the end of the pack. Hopefully he won't cost us on Tuesday, otherwise,
I fear he may be the name by default.

Nick was as fast as me. But I waited momentarily to post mine. I did NOT want to be 1st.

I wanted to look competent, but there's no need to look threatening-level-fast for practice."

Posted Image

"Soooooooo...... Adam wants to work with Nick because they are the quieter two people
on the tribe, eh? You do realize this is a tribe of four and that a tie of 2-2 is an incredibly
stupid thing this early on? *Okay then.*

More to come later, but Nick just rose on my loyalty scale."

L A T E R . . . .

"In all honesty though, if a 2-2 tie were to occur at Wexford's first Tribal Council and let's
say it's between Zeke and Adam -- I would not switch my vote off of Adam. Not a chance.
And I'd let Nick know this, but I'd be careful not to sound too authoritative and make him
feel like I'm threatening him.

Here's why I would refuse to switch: Past Votes can't come into play since it's the first TC,
so that means a tie-breaker would have to be either a challenge or drawing for rocks. If a
challenge -- I don't have anything to worry about and am staying in the game, and I feel
confident that Zeke could whoop Adam's ass in a challenge.

What if it comes down to a PURPLE ROCK, though? Only Nick and myself would be eligible
to draw, and that's a 50/50 chance to go home. Scary right? Absolutely. That could easily
result in my own elimination. But I wouldn't care. I'd still stick with Zeke because if I flip
on him I throw someone who I could potentially go deep in the game with & stick around
with two people who don't talk much and should my tribe lose again before a swap would
absolutely vote me off without a second thought. So, I either put myself on the bottom
of three or I risk going home. I have no problem with that risk. BRING IT ON. Just add
another tick to my name of Tie Votes I've been involved with."

BROBST EDITORIAL: Well, Todd clearly doesn't read through details in the Voting Booth.
He seems to have assumed nothing's changed. But it states in there as big as Dallas that
from now on ~ ALL TIES WILL ALWAYS BE BROKEN WITH A ROCK DRAW. #ReadStuff

Posted Image

"I'm not feeling too confident so far. Just not as outgoing as I thought I'd be. I think the other guys
are a bit more open & I'm gonna have to set something up to protect myself soon if I don't wanna be
the 1st off our tribe. On the bright side, we seem to have a strong tribe, so I don't think that Tribal will
be too soon. But I need to be cautious. All three give me good vibes and we're really cohesive. We would
be a great group of four down the line, but I worry somebody will have to go -- and I'm gonna need to
do something, because I think it's probably me at this point. Maybe Nick......."

Posted Image

"Adam has proven himself to be something of a novice and I've been able to take advantage to it. He rarely replies,
and when he does, it's generally a sentence long. On top of that, he was significantly slower than the rest of us at the
challenge. I still may be the 3rd wheel to Zeke and Todd, but I'm fine with that for now. At least I'm not on the bottom.

I haven't really *connected* with Todd yet ~ but the guy seems to know what he's doing. I don't object to him in any way,
and he seems like he could be a more than solid ally. Here's hoping that he and I get closer in the future.

Zeke is sitting on top of our tribe. He's taking initiative in preparing us for challenges, he's spoken up most with the Flag Task,
and everybody likes him. That's because he's so damn likable! Zeke's a great guy who gets across what he's saying in a concise,
entertaining fashion. I'd have to admit that he's my #1 on the tribe........ and I'm almost certain that Todd would say the same."

*CONFESSIONALS - Round 2 - LIMERICK:

Posted Image

"Guess it's a good thing we got a pass tonight since Michelle was automatically eliminated.
I think I was just too nervous about refreshing the page and not wanting to miss the actual
post to GO that I was not as meticulous as I should've been. I need to slow down and make
sure that I actually am READING the instructions closely.

I totally missed that we were only supposed to put the AVATARS & nothing else. (no names)
I also missed that we ALL had to post them. I was thinking it was just the first person from
each tribe. And I had even read that if someone did it wrong, we could do it again...... but
I thought we had already lost at that point. I also learned more about how using tabs for
the Add Reply window can be more efficient.

Ahhhh well, definitely a learning experience......"

*CONFESSIONALS - Round 2 - DUBLIN:

Posted Image

"Our first challenge in Ireland ended up being run as just a practice - THANK GOD - because hello.....
.....TONY..... oh my gosh. I'm confused as to how he messed it up, but I have a couple theories I'll get
to later. But I'm ecstatic we didn't count the 1st challenge because Tony would've blown it. Now, I think
that Brooke & Julie and I would have voted him out had we lost because we had all been discussing that
anyway, but I'm glad that we can at least keep things together for now.

I have two guesses about Tony: 1) Tony is a brand new player who truly has some difficulties with things
around the board (misplaced pictures, posts in the wrong place, lack of messages, etc.) OR 2) Tony is a
veteran player who's trying his hardest to appear less-than-intelligent. My gut is telling me that it's #2,
but I'm just noting so I can come back to it after the game wraps. This won't factor into any decisions."

Posted Image

"I may just be speaking harshly because of how absolutely lost he was versus how ready he seemed, but
it was a super simple challenge which he took FOREVER to do -- and then when he finally did -- it was in
the wrong order AFTER I posted in our thread the order to put the pics in. ???? That can't happen when
Tribal is on the line. Sure, he was the pick to go tonight even before that happened, and it doesn't seem
like losing him would be a huge loss challenge-wise....... but it's never good to lose a number this early.

If we're going to stay four strong until then, we've GOT to get our mutt puppy in line......."

Posted Image

"Okay -- I better get my act together. I came in DEAD LAST in that practice challenge.
And I have not pushed for any individual alliances yet, but I was thinking I might have
a connection with Brooke that could be beneficial. I do intend to strengthen my dialogue
with her today. HOWEVER, I noticed that on the flag she designed for our tribe, she put
Ozzy next to herself. I see this as the *Who you sleep next to* tell in the real SURVIVOR.

Boston Rob once pointed out that whoever someone was sleeping next to -- they most likely
have an alliance with. I'm going to infer our flag positions are similar, but I won't point it out.

I'll just make a mental note and watch my back......."

Posted Image

"So Tony called this *tribe meeting* before the challenge which was nothing more than:
'Do you guys know how to post the pictures.' And yes, we all practiced ~ except for HIM!
He posted one picture ~ but asked US if we practiced. Dude, look at the practice thread.
And then he takes forever to post and gets it wrong! Like, WTF Tony? Brooke even listed
the order the pictures went in. And okay, anyone can screw up, but then we were trying
to help him and correct him and he STILL didn't get it. I don't think he realized he did
it wrong for a good five minutes. I know Brooke and I had it ready to go in a separate
tab. I think Ozzy did, too. But thank God it didn't count...... well thank God for TONY
anyway. I talked yesterday about looking for a reason to get rid of someone, and now
he's given us two reasons. I really want to win and not vote anyone out. I'm not the
kind of player that likes to go all maverick here early on. I build my game over time.

I mean, I'll go maverick sure...... but it needs to be for a good reason......"

*CONFESSIONALS - Round 2 - WATERFORD:

Posted Image

"I've decided Cirie has a lot to offer when she has time. When she doesn't ~ it's a quick answer
and then she just vanishes. When she does have time, it's very well-written & can be engaging.
Today at my daughter's freshman orientation at college, a speaker gave a talk about KNOWING
YOURSELF and ADAPTING. My mind immediately went to this game. ;)

I know myself and realize I'm someone who likes to bounce off ideas to others and be appreciated.
Not necessarily acknowledges with kudos ~ just a 'hey thanks.' I also want validation that my ideas
are not far-fetched. Sort of lack of self-confidence in this game specifically. (have you seen my record?)

So, if I KNOW MYSELF ~ then I have to ADAPT to my surroundings and others who I am surrounded by......"

Posted Image

"It's been a couple days since my last Confessional. Wait ~ this feels like I'm talking to a priest here. Lemme start over.
Hello! It's me, Cirie! I'm sorry I've been neglecting you, camera. It's been a busy few days. First off, did I mention I'm
on the older ladies tribe? AGAIN? I might as well start adding Geritol and prune juice to my diet. Does anybody have
a walker to spare? I'm probably gonna need that too before long.

In any case, I'm really loving my tribe so far. We are proof that us older ladies got a lot going on. Leann & Diane
both are really easy to chat with, intelligent and here to play! I’m really glad I've gotten to start the game with
them. I think we all have a good bond that'll hopefully take us pretty far. As for Denise, we still haven't talked
yet other than a little bit during the Sunday challenge. From that limited contact, she seemed like she's got
a good sense of humor, which means I'd probably get along with her very well. However, she had to leave
suddenly before the challenge. Still haven't heard from her...... so I'm anxious. I would hate to be down
a tribe member....... but mostly I'm just concerned about her well-being."

Posted Image

"Flag making was good. I'm glad we had a member that could use Photoshop.
Golden Girls worked out well as a theme. I'm ready for a bigger tribe, though.
I feel forced into an alliance since there are only three of us. I don't count
Denise as she is disposable right now. But handy later if she is around.

Not much to post about strategy. She's an easy vote......."

*CONFESSIONALS - Round 2 - CORK:

Posted Image

"CORK tribe prepared well prior to the challenge which was awesome to see. I wish I'd been
a little faster to answer, but with practice comes becoming better. Bubba so far is the person
that I'm closest to in the tribe. I enjoy bouncing ideas about challenges & strategy with him.
I see a little of myself in him, to be honest. Rudy, beyond his 'Rudyisms' and gruff attitude
seems to be a decent fellow. He was first in the challenge tonight, so that's great to see.
Dave -- I guess he likes to fish? Everytime Bubba and I talk to him, it seems like WE
are the ones fishing...... for a conversation.......

That's it for the night...... gotta think of some ideas for a Flag......"

Posted Image

"Being teamed with Joel, Rudy, and Dave has an obvious downside: I'm separated from Zeke, Todd, Diane,
and a few of the other people who I felt I'd made optimistic connections with. We were all prepared for that
possibility, and I'm glad a brought it up in detail to them before the tribal divisions went down. Also, there's
the even more obvious reality that it's more difficult to 'lay low' on a tribe of only four people.

There are a couple of upsides, potentially. First -- with five tribes of four, I feel it will only be a matter of time
before we get reshuffled into 2 or 3 larger tribes. That could give me the potential to build better relationships
with some of those people who I made exploratory connections with (Brooke, Nick, Sierra, Amanda, Denise) as
well as possibly getting to reunite with people such as Zeke, Todd, and Diane who I really want to share notes
with....... or meet entirely new people who I haven't really connected with previously.

But more immediately: on this Cork tribe of four -- Joel seems to share my appreciation for the game and my
desire to want to play. He also seems similarly exasperated with both Rudy's & Dave's cryptic styles of gameplay.

Dave's someone who frustrates me. Every message he exchanges with me is about fishing. Every. Damn. Message.
What he caught.... what he's hoping to catch.... how glad he is to be feeding the tribe. And then, when I ask him if his
references are literal or metaphorical, he tells me they're literal. ~He loves to fish.~ Gee, Dave, thanks...... but this isn't
a dating site. I need more from you than that.

On one hand, Dave could indeed just be totally clueless in terms of understanding my subtext. The subtext of my question
being -- 'Dude, when you are talking about fishing, are you using *catching fish* as a metaphor for the other players whom
you've encountered?' That's why I tried to be a little more direct when following up with our fun-loving exchanges. But when
he answered 'Literal' -- I'm not sure he understood what I was getting at when I'd referred to the possibility of whether we'd
both been speaking in metaphors. (i.e. *coded* talk)

On the other hand, it is possible I revealed too much to Dave -- that he's actually much cagier than he's letting on, so he's
'playing dumb' when I asked him about metaphors...... that he now views me as an early threat, and he's going to try to
make something happen with Rudy and/or Joel if we all go to Tribal Council. That's why I'm really trying not to come off
as *too* intimidating or headstrong with him as badly and intensely as I want to communicate more openly with him.

At this point, I've got to find a way to keep from driving myself crazy over this since my desire to play on a much
bigger tribe with a lot more people is fueling me.

And possibly stoking my paranoia."

Posted Image

"Bubba...... Kind man, hard working....... however, needs another dimension other than food.
Definitely needs to start asking more questions. He seems trustworthy but isn't showing all
his cards yet. Have to figure out the play to get him to do so.

Rudy...... Instant respect for him. Man of few words. Reminds me of FDR: 'Speak softly
and carry a big stick!' Can definitely learn a lot from him.

Must keep him close......."

~ HATCHING A PLAN . . . .

Posted Image

Did you see Lucky's Limerick advantage post?

Posted Image

I did. I'm trying to figure it out now. Any ideas?

Posted Image

You can stop because I found it. :P

Posted Image

Was it that Shamrock on Brobst's post? That's awesome!

CONGRATS!! Wanna share?

Posted Image

Yep! In the Check-In thread. I thought it was a challenge advantage, so I jumped on it
so the other tribes couldn't get it, LOL. But yes, any advantage I have is OUR advantage.

Posted Image

That is so amazing! I knew it had to be that thing, cause it wasn't there before.

You're a freaking rockstar, Brooke! :D Are you going to tell Ozzy and Tony?

Posted Image

I had a thought I want to run by you & Ozzy. I don't want to tell Tony because
I don't really get him and he's unpredictable to me still if that makes sense.

The advantage is that the player who finds it can swap tribes with anyone.
It's meant to be helpful if you feel you're about to get voted out or something,
and I wasn't going to use it, but then a thought occurred to me. WHAT IF.... I were
to swap with a really strong player (whoever you and Ozzy and I think is someone who
could go far, but maybe wouldn't work with us later) and then y'all throw the challenge,
go to Tribal Council and vote them out......?

Posted Image

That's an idea ~ but what if you lose the following challenge? That risks YOU getting
voted out. Can you only switch yourself, or can you switch somebody else on our tribe?

Posted Image

I can't pass it, only I can swap with another tribe. That's the exact problem I ran into.
It would be a big move for our tribe, but I'd really have to have luck and Luck and more
LUCK...... plus a really well-worked angle on my side to stay safe. I trust you and I trust
Ozzy and I don't want to do anything if it's not what's best for US.

I really like that plan ~ but I'll play devil's advocate for a second. My biggest question mark with that is
if you swap tribes and then Julie and I vote out the person we swap - I would be terrified that the tribe you
swapped with would throw the next challenge to get rid of you in sort of a revenge way. That's really my only
concern because I in no way want to lose you as an ally. If we did it right BEFORE the merge, I would be a bit
more comfortable with it because then a tribe couldn't throw a challenge to get revenge, but then we 3 may
become easy targets during the early merge. It's a great plan, but I almost feel like we would have to have
the perfect storm of events to use it. I would definitely keep that on the corkboard -- it's brilliant for sure.

Posted Image

Yeah ~ it's really risky for sure. The only reason I'm not suggesting we wait is because he said
it expires "soon." I don't know what that means exactly. That's the part I'm most worried about.
It would be a HUGE move for our tribe, but I would have to really work my angle to keep from
getting voted out right away. This is why I wanted to discuss it with you and with Julie, too.

I trust you guys and I want to do what's best to keep us strong. :D
