Verbs:

To Eat:
When we eat sushi, we say "Watashi wa sushi wo tabemasu."

"Tabemasu" means to eat. "Wo" means that "Sushi" is what you're eating, the object.

Remember that Watashi means '"I" or "Me".

So, when we say "watashi wa sushi wo tabemasu", it literally means "I eat sushi."

Sentence Structure:

Watashi wa (FOOD) wo tabemasu.

Romaji: Watashi wa (sushi) wo tabemasu.

Hiragana: わたし は (すし) を たべます。

To Drink:
To say to drink water, we simply use the same structure. But instead of tabemasu (to eat), we say nomimasu (to drink).

So, when we say "watashi wa mizu wo nomimasu", it literally means "I drink water."

Sentence Structure:

Watashi wa (DRINK) wo nomimasu.

Romaji: Watashi wa (mizu) wo nomimasu.

Hiragana: わたし は (みず) を のみます。
