by Clark Kent Lex Luthor, the President of LexCorp has done it again, adding yet another franchise to his already impressive corporation, with the grand gala opening of LexBucks. And ever one to turn the public to his side, Luthor has not only invited the rich and powerful to the gala, but also the regular citizens of Metropolis, as issued through this very newspaper, which you of course know is the Daily Planet. As well as many of the citizens of Metropolis, several well known figures have been spotted, such as movie stars and leading figures in various industries. Actor Johnny Depp has been spotted, though he apparently left rather quickly. Even Morgan Edge of WGBS, a rival company to Lex Luthor, showed up, though he looked rather angry about the whole thing, hardly seeing this as something that would strengthen WGBS’ shares compared to those of LexCorp. The Daily Planet’s own editor, Perry White, elected to show up as well, seen in deep conversation with a few young students of journalism from Metropolis University. Actor Tobey Maguire, the start of the trilogy of super hero movies about the misunderstood super hero Spider-Man were seen as well, together with his wife Jennifer Meyer, seemingly mingling and talking to several fans. Hugh Hefner was reportedly spotted as well, seen in the company of several of his the ladies from his mansion. Senator Walter Reilly’s daughter, Lorraine Reilly, have been spotted in the company of a young man, no doubt campaigning to strengthen her father’s ties to the corporate world. The pair has been seen talking to Rufus Shenron, the owner of Shenron Power Company and Shenron Motors, which, despite still being relatively unknown firms are on the rise. The topic of their discussion is unknown at the moment, though, but already rumours are circulating of Senator Reilly somehow being partly sponsored by Shenron Power Company and Shenron Motors. According to sources in the senate, this could not be further from the truth, however, and Senator Reilly have even directly stated that while Rufus Shenron did make some unspecified proposal to him in the past, he would not, and I quote “have anything to do with that arrogant upstart.” So, apparently, these rumours are nothing but rumours. Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses attended as well, fans begging him to sign the versions of Chinese Democracy, while the entire band of Metallica showed up as well, to much applause from their fans. Lex Luthor of coursed showed up in person, being spotted talking to a man in a trench coat with blonde hair, whose identity is unknown at this point, however. Perhaps a new bodyguard? Only Lex Luthor could be able to get such famous personalities to attend the gala of a coffee chain, but then again, Lex Luthor shown an ability to make everything out of nothing, as he has proven with seemingly every endeavour, starting with the failing airline company which would become LexAir, America’s largest airline today. From there on, he continued with LexOil, LexMedia and much more. |
