Floating through the empty space of a vast sea was a round pod-like vehicle that was slowly making its way down its path. Inside, a young girl with blond hair tied into twin drills was fiddling with instruments all over. "I don't think there's enough fuel to reach Twilight Town at this rate. Ugh, why did I have to be blown into this dimension?" she asked aloud. As she worked, the head of what looked like a cartoon T-Rex bearing a strange symbol on its snout moved inward. The girl turned her head. "Hey, there's not enough room up here for you, Grimlock. Just back up, okay?" The animal seemed to lower its head and back away a bit, though the girl reached out and rubbed its snout, causing it to low softly in approval. The girl then heard a sound like an old phone ring. "Huh? Wait, right. I took out the communications device before I set up the bomb." She opened a compartment that revealed, oddly enough, a 20th century corded phone which she removed from the receiver. "Hello? Who is this?"

"Mattie, where the hell are you?! Mattie removed the phone from her hear, grimacing at the woman's voice on the other end.

"Oh boy..." She pressed a button on the side and lowered the phone to the receiver again. "Um... I don't even know myself." A light seemed to come on to show a camera was on but no video was being received.

"What happened?!" You're supposed to be back home, getting all big and round so I can enjoy every inch of your pregnant body!" Mattie sighed a bit.

"I had things to do, you know. Bringing Shion and Concepta somewhere nice to live, taking care of some old friends, and making new ones. You know how it goes."

"Still living the life of a Time Lord, huh? Running around in your condition? Aren't you reaching eight months now?" Mattie looked to the side.

"Don't call me that anymore. Remember, I ditched that name after Luke..." The voice on the other end groaned.

"As much as I love you, I really miss the old you. Brimming with confidence and never wavering. Anyways, you're making me miss all the time of your pregnancy!" Mattie looked to the camera again.

"N-Not really. I'm a time magician, after all. I just... Paused their growth so I would still look like this." There came a sound like growling on the other end, causing the T-Rex to lean forward again. "Hey, Grimlock! Back up!"

"And what's that? It looks like a Digimon. Where have you been now?!" Mattie brought her hand behind her head. "Wait... Where's the Time And Relative Dimension In Space?"

"And I told you even more to stop calling it that. That name is utterly dumb. I don't even know why I thought it was a good name." Mattie then cleared her throat. "The big silver time machine ended up being used as a bomb to blow up the remains of the Daleks. On the plus side, there are no more Daleks in existence. On the minus side... I'm drifting." The voice on the end became concerned.

"In space? What about food and air?" Mattie brought her hand behind her head.

"Not space... The Star Ocean." The line became quiet, as if in understanding. "I might need to be picked up. I did all I could to make an escape craft but it's kind of falling apart. And my Dream Eater isn't making the tight space any easier." The Rex growled a bit in frustration.

"... Why 'Grimlock'?" Mattie's eyes became half-lidded, about to explain when an explosion went off outside. "What was that?!"

"Oh no. Looks like the engines just failed... Or rather exploded literally. I'll have to call you back!"

"Matt--" The line cut off as Mattie felt the pod tumbling while she rolled about inside. She grabbed the controls tightly to reorient herself, feeling the Dream Eater bear down on her to keep her in place as well.

"Hold on. This is going to get a little crashy!" she called out as the pod began to dive from its current path, descending toward a world.
