Hello and welcome, to this humble redrawing 101 if you have a pic like this and want to redraw it Spoiler: click to toggle First: You need to make sure your image mode is Gray-scale Spoiler: click to toggle 2nd step : Create a new layer and start brushing away the area you want to redraw [ i think you should create a layer for each area you want to redraw so that when something bad happens and you want to go back just delete that layer and start over :3 and when you are over just merge them down in one layer ] Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle 3rd step [when the real redrawing begins]: Here is the point where you choose which way you want it the Easy way [Clone Tool] (i use it when i have no choice) Or the Hard way [Pattern Stamp Tool] (i use this), but it`s a matter of taste. I`m gonna do both to show the difference: I`ll use the Pattern stamp tool in the hair area & clone tool in the black area on the left [ if your using layer and not duplicating the background make sure to sample from the background then choose the layer ur working on ] Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Tip: every once and awhile go back to scale 100% and check if it`s missy or not when doing hair make sure you imagine "what will it look like the best ?" and keep trying different shapes till you find one that looks best of them all Now for the Pattern Stamp Tool: Now make brush at 1 px then select the pen tool and start constructing the hair lines Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Yet another Tip: every thing you change in the Brush tool affects the pen tool so be careful and remember to select the correct color before doing anything [ because i sometimes forget and it may be a bad area to make a mistake in ] ( I even made A little mistake of constructing the hair on the black area redrawing layer but the redrawing it self will be in layer 1 :# ) Now to get yourself a Pattern: Select the rectangle marque tool and select a small area Spoiler: click to toggle click edit, select define pattern, then click ok to add it Spoiler: click to toggle To get the Pattern tool: Click and hold on the clone tool a menu will come up select from it the pattern stamp tool then go and select the pattern you just made Spoiler: click to toggle Tip: it`s in rock bottom in the list :3 Start filling the area Spoiler: click to toggle When you finish use burn&dodge tools to get to the same tune as the are around it after you finish burning you might find some white spots that need to be covered so get brush at 1 px and start covering one by one and then do a Gaussian blur then again with the brush at a lower opacity Spoiler: click to toggle When u finish merge the layers down -I hope it easy to understand- If you have any question PM me →Mada-Ou← |
