Hi, Having recently moved to Knaresborough I'd be interested to know a bit more about the history of our property, street and local area. I've already bought a couple of local history books, spoken to some local residents I know and I've searched on line for old photographs and maps, but I seem to get pictures of the same things repeatedly - no great surprise when Knaresborough has so many well known historic attractions. We've moved over from Leeds and I am very familiar with the Leodis web site: www.leodis.net. This is an archive of photographs of Leeds that you can search by street or year and a number of other criteria and it is primarily made up of photographs submitted by local residents and businesses. It's a fascinating resource and I was hoping that someone on this forum could point me in the direction of anything similar for Knaresborough? Thanks for your time. James |
