For the last 40 odd years I have enjoyed the hay a park lakes.as a walker ,birdwatcher, angler and dog walker. Now the styles have been fenced off denying access to a lot of people who are unable to climb the fence. I understand that the excuse given was to protect ground nesting birds. This is total rubbish.people don't stray from the paths and there are not enough dog walkers to impact the few birds that do nest on the ground. I just wish the owners of the lakes had the guts to actually tell us why they are stopping a lot of people responsibly enjoying this place Don't try and fob us off by telling us that IT IS USED BY PEOPLE THAT ABUSE THE PLACE A few idiots get in but certainly not enough to impact in a bad way. cjh |
