Quiet and intense, that's one way of describing Xander. , but that isn't what makes him so intimidating to others. Often, People will speak to him and his only reply is silence and a vacant stare. Xander was born to a happily married couple, who thrived for an heir. His mother had multiple miscarriages before his sister and he and while his father had accepted that they were not meant to have children, his mother fought for a child. Her pregnancy was a harsh one, which she spent in on bed arrest. And when the time came, Jessica and Xander were brought into the world, but their mother did not resist labor. The untimely death of Angelica Radec resulted in Xander's father growing cold. The oldest Radec detached himself from everyone and anything but his work. He neglected his children entirely, barely acknowledging that he had a son or a daughter. This only seemed to worsen over time, as Xander grew to look more and more like his dead mother. Brought up by servants, Xander is kind at heart, but has a hard time showing any kind of emotion, due to the lack of emotion displayed for him all his life. The staff at his household always did their best to ensure he had everything he needed, but as a boy, it was his fathers attention he craved. Nowadays, he gladly accepts that of his governess, Rosemarie. She is the mother he never had, and the father. She educated, played with him, attended to his injuries when he hurt himself. But he has a hard time communicating even with her. Back when Xander - or Nero, as he prefers - was a freshman, he was the cutest, sweetest kid you’d ever see. He didn’t go to many parties, instead usually going down to the courts to practice basketball or to the auditorium to work on his new monologue. He was a straight A student just like his little sister. He got along well with his family, and he easily made new friends. But that all changed in the middle of freshman year when he became friends with Misses Lovelace. The first time the two hung out, Annabelle offered him a joint. Nero, being the innocent kid he was, knew it was wrong. He knew it’d be bad. But he fell for the peer pressure and tried it, and he absolutely loved it. After that night, he had been hooked. He started hanging with the drugging crowd, trying harder and stronger drugs. He got into drinking and partying as well, and started dropping his extra curricular classes. Soon enough he was skipping out on his core classes to get high in the bathroom. He was relentless, and not even his sister could stop him. But Annabelle wasn’t the only reason he had been hooked. He had been torn months before, and he knew the drugs would take the pain away. See, Nero had been crushing on Courtney Taylor all of freshman year. It was a wonder how they had been a couple, seeing as they were so opposite to each other. But he loved her none the less. Then Annabelle came in the picture. He slowly started falling for her, and then was torn between the two girls. It seemed as though Courtney had caught onto it, and she dumped him. Nero was heart broken, but with drugs and alcohol, he learned to cope. Unlike Annabelle, who when high is loud and out going, Nero becomes very quiet, falling deep in thought as though becoming one with the world. Nero was at a gig with his band when his best friend had killed herself, and he didn’t find out until two weeks later, he even missed the funeral. Nero was devastated that Annabelle had left without even calling him or telling him goodbye. They were always close buddies, when his mother dropped off the face of the Earth, Annabelle was the one there to consul him—not to tell him “I told you so," even though she did tell him so. Rumors say they dated secretly for quite a long time — truth is, no matter what the villagers may think, Annabelle and Nero never dated, he was simply being paid to teach her how to use a professional camera. But as sarcastic as he is, Nero preferred the fun of the rumors than the unbelievable truth. But when she disappeared, nobody believed when he said they never got together… Now it’s too late and he’s seen in a worse manner, not that he’d possibly care. At Lake View, he keeps himself apart from people, often preferring to be City, by himself, sketching landscapes. At middle school he was bullied, something that still stays with him, but he toughened up in high school, going as far as protecting other children who were victims of bullying. Nero is more a man of words than he is of actions. While he rarely speaks, his infatuation with the girls is known among the Local area, but most don't comments on it, far too intimidated by the lurking Young adult to dare to do so. .[/b] |
