It had been a rather lackluster month for Glacial Breeze. She had spent the summer pretty much relaxing in Ponyville. Sure she gave out a few basic magic lessons to foals or other young unicorns that she had crossed paths with while in town, but really she that was all. A rather relaxing vacation as it were compared to the day and night routines back in Canterlot. There were a few peculiar events that took place that she was sure Cosmic had some ties to it, but nothing too bad that she needed to concern her self over.

So here Glacial found her self out real late out the outskirts of town. Later than she normally would be up. She however wanted to go star gazing tonight. It was supposed to be a good night, with lower than average humidity with little to no cloud cover. The perfect night for star gazing. She had scouted out the place away from the town that offered a great view of the night sky with out any obstruction from buildings, or other tall objects. From her current experiences Glacial had no reason to believe there was any danger being out alone at night in Ponyville.

She laid out a blanked on the side of the hill along with a few snacks as she prepared for her long night of star gazing and she looked up at the fresh new night stars. Sure summer time was not the optimal time to do such things, but it was a lot more comfortable than during the winter. "What a gorgeous night." Glacial said to herself as she sat down on the blanked and levitated a small cookie to her mouth and begun eating it.

With almost nothing left to prepare for in his own dealings, Livewire decided to take himself for a bit of a midnight stroll, as he usually tended to do in the off-season of causing general harm to the ponies of the surrounding areas. Ponyville itself was usually left untouched, in an attempt to make sure that suspicion didn't fall upon him. Several ponies in town had heard the name of 'Doctor Therapy', a zebrican doctor who lived up in Ponyville Manor, but he'd made it a point to make sure that almost nopony had seen him, even in his over half-decade living there.

As he continued down a path, humming to himself, he spotted a unicorn mare sitting on a hill, her eyes carelessly skywards while she munched on a cookie. Livewire shook his head. Sometimes they just made his job too easy. Unless...yes, he'd just attempt to befriend this one. No need to bloody his hooves today. Some conversation outside that of his normal housemates would be nice. Well, he'd spoken to plenty of ponies in the last few years, but most of them just screamed obscenities at him while he cut them open for medical study, and the such.

Livewire approached the mare from behind, stealthed and magically silenced. Once he was directly behind her, he dropped his illusion spells and smiled. Even at night, he still wore his pitch black cloak and sunglasses.

"A fine evening we're having, wouldn't you say, miss? Mind if I join you?"

Glacial was enjoying watching a passing meteor flly through the sky. Little did she expect somepony else to be around. She was way to focused on the sky. So the sudden appearance of another pony nearly scared her out of her own skin. "Eeeek! !!!!" She let a scream instantly shot up from her blanket instictively turning around to where the voice came from.

"Oh...Oh Celestia.. you... you nearly scared me to the death there..sir." The lighting was obviously not good at this time of night.. so Glacial really could not make out too much details about this pony. However one thing did strike her as odd... This pony was clearly wearing Sunglasses at night. Maybe it .. was prescription? She was not overly sure.

"I... I did not expect to see any pony else out here.. I'm sorry for the scream .. I truly am." She bowed in apology to the new comer. "Yea.. you can joy me.. if you want." She stated a bit nervous. There was something off about this unicorn that she could not quite place. The sun glasses at night ... maybe that was it?

Livewire was completely laughing inside his own head. It was always satisfying to elicist that kind of reaction out of an unsuspecting pony, especially in the middle of the night. On the outside however, he merely showed a concerened demeanor, and waved his hoof a bit.

"Oh, my apologies. I didn't mean to scare you. It was just a bit surprising to see another pony out as late as I usually am. I was hoping to have some company for once. Please forgive me if I came off a bit...sudden."

He took a seat beside her, and stared out into the sky, frowning. It would be best to sell the illusion of the lie that he was about to tell.

"Are you watching the sky for anything in particular? If it's a meteor shower, I'm afraid that I won't be able to join you. Sadly, I was stricken blind many years ago, during a bit of an...argument, with a unicorn. I've been attempting to find a way to reverse it, but the spell is much stronger than I'd first imagined."

He gave a nervous laugh, to sound more sincere about the whole story. It was technically true. There were no real lies in it. He tilted his head back towards her.

"If you're wondering about the sunglasses, that's the reason."

"No.. there is nothing particular that I am looking tonight. It was just a good night meteorologic-ally speaking for the time of year to get a good star gaze in." She stated back to her new companion. She listened to his reason as to why he was wearing sun glasses. As she thought there was was a medical reason for him.

"Oh.. I. I am sorry to hear about your eye site." She stated a bit awkwardly after the reason she had give for her to be out here tonight. ".. I was wondering about the sunglasses honestly." She giggled slightly. "Sorry.. just a bit odd at this time of the night."

There was no reason for Glacial to not believe the words this pony was telling her. She had only just met him. There was no reason to lie to her right? "But I am curious as to one thing though.." Glacial turned to him. "Just how do you get around by yourself with out being able to see." It had to be some magic spell or something.. or heighten sense.

This was nice. An actual civil conversation with another pony, who didn't want to judge him for his stripey appearance, or strange style of dress. She also spoke of meterology. Might she have been some kind of weathery scientist? If so, he might actual attempt to seriously befriend her. His housemates were nice and all, but most of them were a bit...unintelligent, compared to him. It'd be a fine change to speak with another educated pony.

"A fair enough question, miss. I get around at night the same way I found you. My sunglasses are imbued with a spell that allows me to see the world through sound vibrations that echo all around us, at all times. If I'm alone, as I was before I stumbled across you, the sound of my own hoofsteps and heartbeat are usually enough the illuminate my direct surrounding area. When I saw another area light up nearby, I knew it meant that either some wild animal was out and about, or another pony was enjoying the night as I was. I try to stay indoors during the daytime, since all the sounds make my sight a bit...blurry."

It was a convincing enough reasoning. That was enough about him though. He wanted to know this mare a bit better. If she'd been around town for long enough, she might actually have heard of him, and that could pose a problem.

"My name is Doctor Therapy, by the way. I live up in Ponyville Manor, treating patients who choose to seek me out. What's your name, miss?"

The reasoning this pony gave was hard to argue. She had nothing to debunct his claim to how he was able to get around now. "Ah I see.. that is very interesting way of getting around." Glacial admitted. It be something her adopted brother Cosmic would probably find more interesting then she would though.

"Doctor Therapy?" Glacial repeated the name and gave it some though. Yes she had heard.. passing words about a Doctor.. or two around town. One of those were Doctor Therapy, but other than hearing it from a few town folks she really did not know much about what type of Doctor he was. "Yes.. I have heard the name mentioned by a few ponies, but I am sorry to say that I have really not had the chance to know more than that." There really was no reason to pry either. There are always names thrown about when chatting amongst other ponies or passing through crowds while in town.

"It is nice to finally meet the pony behind the name though." Glacial nodded. "I"m Glacial Breeze. Just a normal pony spending the Summer in Ponyville. I'm from Canterlot though originally. Well not quite the same, I do like to help younger unicorns with teaching them how to harnest their magical powers as well as a few elementary level spells. I'm sort of doing self study in regards to my own magic though. STill have not found a mentor to teach me anything to advanced beyond what I've learned in magical academy though." Glacial was not sure why she revealed this much information. Maybe it had been a while sense she actually had a civil conversation with a pony that was not so much younger than her self. Teaching kids is one thing.. but actually sitting down and talking to an adult is something completely different.

"Sorry if I'm rambling here." Doctor Therapy probably did not want to hear her ramble on that much about useless information.

This mare was just a waterspout of information. He hadn't even asked her anything yet, and still, she kept feeding him all kinds of information about herself. He'd gathered that she was formally trained, when she mentioned a magic academy, and that she wasn't from around here. It wouldn't be out of the question for a mare out on her own to disappear this far from home...something else struck his mind though. She mentioned that she hadn't yet found a mentor to teach her more powerful magicks. His own work was done now, and he had nothing but free time until the signal was shown. If Glacial was willing...

"No, don't be sorry at all. I'm glad to have somepony to talk to. My housemates usually only speak of the battles they've been in. Except Opec...he's always just around with depressing talks."

Livewire gave a legitimate smile to Glacial, something that was rare for him. His smiles were usually forced, though through years of learning to fake it, they always seemed real. The mare was exactly the kind of pony he'd hoped to find on his walks. Somepony that didn't know him, but still had a similar amount of knowledge as himself.

"It's nice to hear that you're trying to help other ponies better themselves in the magical arts. You mentioned not being able to find somepony to help you though, yes? Well, I'm fairly well-versed in many types of magic myself, so if you wouldn't mind, maybe you could drop by the manor sometime, and I could assist you?"

Glacial had also heard of this so called Mansion, but she never had ventured over there. She was also unaware that is where Opec was staying. Though Opec never really did divulge much information about his personal life. He.. seemed to try impress her during the times she was helping him get some control over his magic. She was a bit curious to know how he was doing in that regard. Though Doctor Therapy said he seemed to talk about depressing things.

"Really?" Glacial asked with a bit of excitement. "That would be so nice of you." She grinned. Glacial really was limited to her water based magic with a few utility spells mixed in and the basic ones needed to pass the Academy. But beyond that, she rarely practices any type of magic outside of her natural talent for water based magic. "I'd love to drop by and have a few sessions if its not too much trouble."

This was...almost too easy. It was like somepony was luring him into a trap. Still, this mare didn't seem at all dangerous on her own, and he didn't hear any other ponies around. He was probably just being paranoid. Before he took Glacial under his metaphorical wing though, he needed to see what kinds of magic she could do. He stood up from the hill and stamped a hoof on the ground to illuminate the land around them. So far, still nothing.

"Sorry about that. Getting a better look at things. Now, you said you helped teach other ponies magic, but I'm a bit curious. What kinds of magic do you specialize in yourself? If it's nothing too flashy, perhaps you'd be up for a demonstration?"

As long as her special talent wasn't making other ponies explode, he wouldn't have too much a problem keeping their little meeting quiet, and away from the eyes and ears of other ponies. He cast a spell of silence and shrouding around their area, focused on him. Whereas most unicorn's horns would glow when they cast magic, his own stayed docile, and dark. He'd learned to suppress that irritating side-effect years ago, with the help of his inherent Zebrican magicks. As long as she stayed near him, Glacial would be as good as invisible to the outside world.

Glacial had a confused looked as to the sudden burst of light, though the Doctor stated it was to get a better look. "Oh.. it's no problem?" Glacial stated as she stood up as he asked for a demonstration.

"I have a special talent in water based magic.... I can both conjure and manipulate water in its three basic physical states: Solid, liquid, and gas." Glacial explained. Though providing a demonstration to a blind pony did propose a challenge. Over all her magic did not make much noise really. Then an idea struck her. ... She could allow him to feel it per say.

Glacial focused her magic drawing in the near by dew droplets that were now starting to gather on the grass. The temperature had now lowered to that which was close to the dewpoint, this made gathering the water a simple task really. After a short while she gathered the water into a nice sphere of swirling water. She brought the ball of water over to Livewire bringing it toward one of his hooves touching it gently. "This is the water I have gathered and brought together." She stated..

Next she focused her magic and began slowing down the molecules of the water lowering the temperature of the water quickly to the point in which it froze over. She had gotten very use to doing this excersize... despite the actual temperature outside, for at least a short time while under her own magical power the water can remain frozen. "I have now frozen the ball of water that I have gathered." She informed.

The next part she had to be a bit more careful with... She began speeding up the vibrations of the water molecules increasing the temperature of water. The ice quickly became water again and began to get hot really quickly. She did not make a habit of actually vaporizing water via forced methods. It took the most amount of magic .. and was not as efficient as going the other direction. Eventually the water began to boil and then disperse as steam into the air till the water had completely dispersed and transformed itself into water vapor around him.

"And.. now its water vapor." She completed her little demonstration. "I can manipulate this on a larger scale as well. I can even create a small rain shower as well, but that's crossing into Pegasi areas there. I try not to do that often." She explained.

She was unaware of the other spells that Doctor Therapy had done, so she was unaware that for all intensive purposes no one else but him could see her little display she had done.

So, she was a weather-based magic user then, localized in the branch of water magic? That was certainly a rare field to find in a unicorn. Like Glacial had said, pegasi were usually responsible for the goings on of weather in the majority of Equestria. Back in Zebrica, every tribe was responsible for their own weather, via rituals to the Gods and Goddesses. It was still magic, but their tradition helped them feel better about it. She'd said she could control it on a larger scale, and Livewire was eager to see just how much larger of a scale she could really handle. That'd have to wait for another day though. Her demonstration here had been impressive enough.

"Not bad, Ms. Breeze. Not bad at all. Now, it's only fair that since you've shown me your magic, I should ask if you'd like to see mine as well. I admit that while it may not be as graceful as water-based magic, it's still a sight to behold in itself."

If she did agree, he'd be able to use his magic for non-lethal purposes for once. His percision was second to none, so he wasn't worried about actually hurting anyone in the process of his own demonstration. If she refused, he'd simply show her another time.

"Thank you Doctor." Glacial smiled back. It was true though that it was a rather rare field for a unicorn to be able to tap into. Even the teachers back the academy had noted that. Though it was not something too odd to put as an impossibility.

Glacial was not going to pass up on the opportunity to see what type of magic Livewire was able to and made a quick reply to his inquiry. "Sure, I'd love to see what kind of magic you can do." Glacial assumed it was going to be something to do with healing or something similar based on the rumors that surrounded him.

What kind of pony was this trusting? No kind of pony, that's what. Still, if she was ready and willing to see it, he was prepared to show her what he was capable of. Livewire withdrew one of the several scalpals he kept on him from his mane, via telekinesis, and looked at Glacial, a serious look on his face.

"Now, for this next part, I'm going to need you to trust me. My magic is of a medical-based variety, and only a fool of a doctor operates on himself. If you really want me to show you what I can do, just hold out one of your legs, and we'll begin."

If she actually did it without question, then Livewire might have just found himself a friend. Nopony trusted some random, blind pony, that walked alone in the middle of the night, especially on the first meeting. If she really trusted him, he'd make a note to not kill this one. Exceptions could be made, even on his neverending quest for medical training.

Glacial was... not too cure if this was the way he though he would do a demonstration. But a medical demonstration on her? She was not quick to answer this time. Just what exactly was he going to do exactly. "I'm not sure.. what type of medical magic are you going to do?" Glacial was not overly fond of the idea of getting cut.. when there was no reason to get cut. That surely involve some sort of pain?

Then again he was a Doctor... she was sure she knew what he was doing? "Uh...how much would it hurt?" Glacial asked with concern as she sort of cringed at the the mere thought.
