This wasn't training, it was torture! Nova didn't want to have to run another rotation with this ridiculously heavy armor. And he certainly didn't want to suffer the embarrassment of failure again. So he pushed himself, even when his legs burned and his heart felt like it would burst out of his chest, he pushed, coming just even with Blade.

"Sir... Gust?"
The butler was rather surprised to see long time friend and old protege to Sir Bladeborn so unannounced.
"Yes, Good afternoon to you as well. I assume Sir Bladeborn is in?"
The butler nodded and led the way into the estate, giving the same direction to Gust as he did to another. The directions were not needed though, Gust had spent sometime in the estate, and had briskly made his way to Blade's location.
The scene that Sir Gust had trotted into was one that brought back memories of triumph.
To his surprise, Nova was training, with Bladeborn nonetheless. He watched silently as Nova tried to accomplish this task on his first attempt. Gust knew it wasn't going to happen, even he couldn't do it the first time.

Nova caught up to Bladeborn and upon reaching the end of this rotation they ended even. Bladeborn slowed to a trot and then a full stop and released his spell returning the armor to its original weight.
Bladeborn panted and shook his head as his body began to calm down. "Good job, Nova." He smirked some and nodded to him.
"But, I believe we have a new guest." He motioned with his head to Gust

They finally came to a stop and Nova felt like he was about to throw up. The removal of weight made him feel like he could fly, even without wings. He looked over to the 'guest' "S-Sir Gust." he greeted between heavy breaths. "How have you been?" He asked.

As they came to a stop a smirk made its way onto Gust's face.
Oh the memories...
"Yes yes, it seems I'm the center of attention, as usual." He chimed with his almost natural sarcasm. "I stop in to see an old friend, and low and behold, Nova's here. I know I'm irresistible boy but there is a thing as too much."
He chuckled lightly before looking back to Sir Blade. "And how'd you end up with the prime rib of the Lunar Guard?"

Bladeborn grinned and trotted over to Gust Holding out his hoof.
"Well, seems he needed a bit more help...Hes got potential but he has some obstacles to overcome first." He nodded to Nova smirking a bit.
"So I see you've met my old squire?"

Nova joined the two knights, feeling oddly outnumbered. "Yeah, he's been helping me get a little more field work." He responded. He had to adjust his sun-shades again, they had been knocked around a bit after that run. "I gotta tell you though, the schedule's been brutal. I keep finding myself in a situation where I miss out on sleep." As if on que, he let out a yawn. "Like today..."

"You'll get used to it Nova. I did." Gust said dryly as he turned to Sir Bladeborn.
"Nothing too out of the ordinary for me. Simple duties with the order, I do my own thing at night. Not much to elaborate on what I do. But what happens during that time, well, Nova knows what I mean."

Bladeborn nodded to Gust before trotting over to a Rack of weaponry.
"Nova, I assume you use Wingblades?" He asked aloud after turning around to face him. "I want to give you a set you can use while on duty...The steel variants they issue are a little to bulky I think...Platinum Iridium should work much better, what do you think Gust?"

Nova raised his brow in interest. "Sure, I've used them." He said. "Lunar Guard is expected to be experts with their given weapons." He could still remember having to take the extra classes before they would let him graduate basic, as with allot of Lunar guard recruits. "Uh, what's platinum-iridium?"

"Of course it'll work better Sir Blade. You and I both know most standard equipment is complete rubbish." Gust said as he moved over to the weapon rack as well. "This room just keeps bringing me memories." He said lowly as he looked over the rack, the same extremely well kept equipment he used years ago.
"What were you planning on doing next, Sir Blade?"

"I plan to make Nova here a Knight yet...Maybe not in name but at least power." He grinned and gripped a set of Wingblades over to Nova.
"Platinum-Iridium is a metal alloy that is highly conductive to magic...Its what Sir Gust's Blade is made of...Its usually used in the construction of the Sword we knights use to hone our Bladecasting abilities." He paused for a moment.
"Now before you ask...These will help you because I'm going to teach you a very invaluable skill." he waited again. "Magic flows through all of us. From a single Blade of grass to an Ursa-Major. Unicorns naturally are able to control the flow and form of magic and fashion them into spells." What he said so far was rather common knowledge.
"But what if I told you that I can teach you to tap into your passive Pegasus magic? Ponies that do this increase their respective race's natural traits...So, if an earth pony does this they're able to heals wounds near instantly, or become momentarily invulnerable. And if a Pegasus learned to do this?" He left that answer up to Nova.

Nova thought about the answer. "They would... Be able to fly better or have greater control over weather?" He guessed. It made the most sense. That's what Pegasus were good at after all. He looked at the weapon with curiosity. It had a certain silvery shine to it that he had never seen in any steel weapons. He could tell just by looking that it was unique.

"In a way yes." Gust chimed in as he continued to observe the weapons rack. "You'd, say be able to fly more precisely, fly smoother, attack stronger and more swiftly." He moved next to Sir Blade, slowly bringing out the pieces of his blade.
"Sir Blade, if you would allow it... I believe a spar would be in order."

Bladeborn nodded "Perhaps..If hes up to it and only after I teach him how to tap into said magic." he moved infront of nova and nodded.
"So, rules." he started "Using this type of magic will leave your body in an exhausted state after it wares off...Its not a permanent increase, but with practice it is possible to keep it going for a longer amount of time." He stepped right next to Nova.
"Now close your eyes and focus. Prepare yourself as if you are about to take off but instead of flying away try to visualize and grasp the actual magic that allows you to do so. I know you've felt it...That small surge of energy or excitement one gets right before flying. Focus on that and try to force it to grow." he paused.
"Remember...Visualize yourself at your most powerful."
