The light gray unicorn turned around to catch a glimpse of the flustered bat pony, and she cracked a mischievous grin. It was obvious that he was still thinking about this too hard so she spoke to him as she walked, "I never said you had to pretty boy, think of it like... oh, I don't know... friends with benefits, is that how it goes?" SHe heard the sound of something falling on cushions and she rolled her eyes. Drama pony... just one night and you are a wreck.
Eve rummaged around in the kitchen, opening a few cupboards and the refrigerator, levitating a few ingredients and a few pans out of them and onto the counter. She never really cooked too often, preferring to stick to simple canned goods that she could ration easily. The odd times she did have to cook however, she was adept enough to not ruin it. Looking at what she assembled, she decided that eggs was the way it was going to go today.
Starting the stove up and setting the pan on it, she waited for it to heat up by setting some bread in the nearby toaster. Even with all the noise she was making getting things started, she could still hear Nova mumble to himself on the couch, not able to make out any words, but she could tell that it still involved what had happened last night. She closed her eyes and brought a hoof up to her forehead, beginning to massage her temples as she listened to his rambling.
As she started cracking eggs onto the hot pan, she started to sing lowly under her breath, "His little whispers, 'Love me, love me.' That's all I ask for, love me love me..." She cracked an egg and dropped it in the pan, the bottom of it starting to solidify as the egg whites cooked. "... He battered his tiny hooves to feel something. Wondered what it's like to touch, and feel something." As she watched the eggs cook, she leaned against the counter and closed her eyes for a second.
This still didn't feel right. She was powerless the entire time while he had his way, and she ENJOYED it? Is this what it felt like to be one of the victims she hunted at night? Do they eventually come to enjoy the sweet release of death that she brought to them? They were always just as powerless as she was, so why wouldn't that be? "Monster. How should I feel? Creatures lie here, looking through the window."
She fished a two plates out of another cabinet, just in time to hear the toast pop out of the toaster, still she continued a little more somber this time, "That night he caged her, bruised and broke her. He struggled closer, then he stole her." The eggs had finished, and she lightly add salt and pepper to them before she scooped them out of the pan and onto the plates. "Violet wrists and then her ankles, silent pain. Then he slowly saw their nightmares were his dreams..."
The song trailed off as she finished spreading some butter over the toast, setting them on the plates by the eggs before she brought them out to the living room, where Nova continued to sit on the couch and mutter to himself. She set the plate in front of him, acting as though nothing was wrong, saying, "You should eat something pretty boy, all that alcohol in your system can't be good for you." After taking a few bites, she added, "If you want to talk, I'm all ears."

Nova looked down at the meal presented to him. She was right, he needed to eat and flush his system. He took the plate and began stuffing his face with breakfast, his sorrow now frustration. "I don't want to talk." He said after he gulped down the food. "I just want things back to normal! When is your stuff supposed to get here?"
In the back of his mind, he blamed Eve for what had happened. This was just too out of character for him... and yet.. Every memory that came to him from that night was one of dominance and power. He was flustered once more. "Fortheluva..." He facehoofed. "That's it, I'm swearing off alcohol!"

Eve steadily ate her breakfast, occasionally glancing back at Nova every so often. He was starting to get frustrated, and she had to find some way to get him to calm down, before she got another migraine. She lifted a hoof to the side of her head, once again massaging her temples. Too late, it was back. She grimaced and took a bite of the toast. His whining was really getting on her nerves.
Setting the plate down she firmly planted her legs on both of his shoulders and said quite firmly, "Nova!" She stared him down with a steely look in her eyes, hoping that she could at least break through to his rational thought. After a few seconds, she let him go and resumed eating, speaking between bites, "Get a hold of yourself, you sound like my sister and you are giving me a headache. Everything. Is. Normal. No matter how much complaining and regretting you do, it is not going to change what has happened."
She took another huge bite, nearly finishing off the plate, "... and I'm sure whoever this mare is you cheated on is gonna notice if you keep acting like this. Accept what happened. She will not find out from you or I. Nothing happened." She polished off the plate and pushed it across the table to show she was done, wiping her mouth with her leg. "As for when my stuff gets here, I have no idea. I've left enough money for rent if I have to stay longer." She stood up and grabbed her plate, walking it to the kitchen sink as she called back, "Sorry if I came into your life and inconvenienced you to the point where you spent pretty much the whole night on top of me."

Nova stood up in a rage. "THAT WAS MY VIRGINITY YOU INSENSITIVE BITCH!" The sudden expulsion of air winded him, he was already breathing heavily, rage and hatred in his yes. "I... I FINALLY find someone who I'm willing to give it up to... And then YOU come along... Dammit.." He had to turn away. He went to the window and slammed his head on the wall. From where his head was, he was able to see the sun setting out of the corner of his eye.
"It was supposed to be her... NOT YOU!" He was past the anger stage now, working his way into depression and sorrow. Why did this mare have to come and ruin this for him? Things were just starting to look up for him. His life was going a good direction. His training was sure to give him a chance in the LSF, Stardust and he were going steady, and he was even starting to feel good about himself again... But now he felt like shit...

Eve turned around after Nova literally exploded, winding himself in the process. She was not angry, nor shocked at being called a bitch. She had been called worse, she had been called better, she had been called by her real name. Names did not bother her. They were only aliases to go by. She was not stupid though, she knew when there was feeling behind a statement. When she turned around she smirked slightly before it returned to her cold look of apathy. She did not say a word, not yet.
She had other plans.
When she walked back to the couch from the kitchen, a wide and mischievous smirk on her face, as she sat down. Giving a content sigh as she leaned back and said quite casually, "You were a virgin, huh...?" She breathed in as she sat back up, looking at him casually with a sultry glance, "From the way you handled yourself last night, and just how... ferocious you were, I never would have guessed, pretty boy." She chuckled to herself before she said, "As I said, what's done is done. You made your choice when you drank all that..." She gestured at the four cans of alcoholic cider that he finished himself, "... and when you gave into your temptations. Accept it and move on." She looked out the window to the setting sun, "Don't you have a job to be getting to soon?"

Nova looked down at the mare on his couch. He hated her at that moment. He needed to get out of this apartment, he could shower at the barracks. He broke his eye contact with Eve and went back into the bedroom, grabbed his things and then went straight for the door. Once outside he slammed the door. "Dammit!" He cursed to himself. Suddenly though, he felt worried. Not about Stardust, but Eve. There was something about the way she had said that. 'Don't you have a job to be getting to soon?' The way she said it made him worry... Nothing to do about it now. Maybe she was right, maybe he should just accept it... Nova headed for the barracks. He would take a long, cold shower and walk a long, stressful beat.

Eve watched the door shut behind him, counting out ten long minutes as she stared at the door, making sure he was long gone. After the six hundredth second, she burst into a laugh. She laughed at the situation she got herself into, and how she had dragged another pony down with her. Oh how absolutely hilarious! The poor little bat was absolutely mortified! Sure, that little escapade last night was slightly strange and so nice, but damn if it didn't pay off!
She laughed for a good minute, eventually dying down into a chuckle, then a giggle, and then heavy breathing as she wiped a tear from her eye. The night was not quite old enough for her to go out yet, so she may as well do something to keep her occupied. She stood up and levitated all of the empty cans and the breakfast plate into the kitchen, putting them in their respective places. Now that that was all done, she could get some time to herself.
Eve walked back into the bedroom, and looked at the bed. She straightened out the sheets, and repositioned the pillows, not really taking care to make it look tidy, but it looked a lot better. As she walked out of the room, she stopped as a thought crossed her mind. I wonder... She looked back at the bed and gave a light hum of thought before she jumped back onto it, burying her face in the sheets and pillows and inhaling deeply. Ohhh yesss... it smells just like him. She took another satisfied deep breath before she stood up and walked into the bathroom.
Her shower was nothing too out of the ordinary, but her thoughts had dominated the entirety of it as water ran off her face and down her body. It felt nice, and it was definitely refreshing to her sore muscles, just another reminder of Nova. Virgin my flank. If he handles himself like that the first go round, he may be more of a benefit to me than I think he is. She shut off the water as she stepped out of the shower, drying herself off and walking back to the front door, mane damp and clinging to her body.
Snatching up the spare key, she walked out the door and to her own apartment again. It was dark, it was stuffy... it was boring now. Giving a frustrated sigh as she looked the place over, she started to wish her little lie was true and that she actually had some furniture coming in. Walking into her bathroom, she looked in the mirror and levitated her brush up to her head, going through her one hundred strokes before setting it back on the sink. As smooth as silk, as shiny as oil slick, as black as the dark.
She looked around her apartment as she picked up her knife to get ready for another night on the town. As much as she loved the simplicity of her apartment, Nova's was so much better because it was his. There had to be some way that she could convince him to let her stay when the movers excuse lost it's believability. She didn't think he would be bought with love or money at this point, so there had to be something else.
An idea snapped in her head as she buckled her knife to her leg again. Of course, there was also blackmail... She could use his infidelity against him to secure her position in his home, and perhaps more if she played him right. Her grin widened as she thought of the possibilities. She pretty much had the poor colt wrapped forcefully around her hoof, and he had no way out without it turning out badly for him. Oh well, if all else fails, he can always come back to me. I'll be waiting with open legs pretty boy, it will happen again whether you like it or not.
With that, she laughed again, locking her apartment behind her as she left for yet another night on the town. Something told her that she would enjoy this particular one very much. Perhaps a trip to the local bars was in order? Perhaps The Shady Trough?
