Loic rolled himself away from Raihna to allow her some space to try to stand up. She was being an incredibly good sport about trying this again, whether it was from the obvious progress that she was seeing giving her a boost in confidence, or if her spirits have been lifted from their admitting their thoughts for each other. It didn't take her long to roll onto her stomach, which was one of the first things the had come to learn to do. Much like a foal, they learned to crawl, roll around, and slide herself around the floor before learning how to stand, and hopefully to walk.
As she started to try to stand up on shaking legs, Loic lowered his head and gave her a little boost up to a standing position, where her knees could set themselves in the standing position. Since ponies spent most of their lives standing, their legs were well suited for holding up their heavier bodies easier, and as soon as Raihna could stand up, she was already well on her way to learning to walk.
With a sigh, Raihna looked at Loic, and he gave her a confident nod in front of them, urging her to go forward as she leaned against him. He watched her legs as she shakily lifted a hoof and planted it a few inches further ahead, before lifting another one and advancing it just as much. It was good progress so far, but she still seemed to be doing something wrong. He thought about what could be holding her back so much as she took a few more steps, standing in an awkward position as he supported her weight that wanted so much to fall over.
He gave a hum as Raihna asked him if he had any tips or suggestions as to what to do. Still not exactly sure about what he could tell her to do to improve, he said, "Well... it seems as though you are really putting a lot of thought into what you want to move next. What you should do is try to... not think about it? Uhh, there has to be some better way to explain it..." He thought hard for a few more seconds, thinking about how he just moves forward so easily himself without thinking about it.
Then an idea came to him, and his eyes brightened as he figured just how this might work. She will need to learn how to move on instinct, so maybe he could use something that she enjoyed to maybe help that along. "Hang on a sec Rai, let's start over here..." He then shuffled her legs in such a way that she could stand on her own, his horn glowing dimly at the ready to catch her just in case she looked as though she was going to fall over regardless of how stable she was--which would be quite an achievement.
He then pulled away from her side and stood in front of her, looking her in the eye and saying with an easy smile and an easy to listen to voice, "Close your eyes and clear your mind. Focus on what I say, the sound of my voice... how the words sound to you. Forget that you are in a barn, forget about all your troubles in the world... just be calm right now. Calm and clear." By the end of this, he was speaking in a whisper, and had inched his head closer and closer to hers as her eyes remained shut.
He then slowly pressed his lips to hers, which may have surprised her, but she tooke to it easily enough, moving her own lips to enjoy the intimacy of such an action as she normally would. This lasted for a few seconds before Loic abruptly started pulling away, slowly starting to walk backwards as their lips began to remove themselves from each other. It didn't seem to be something Raihna wanted to happen, as she took a step forward, reapplying pressure to the kiss as Loic continued to back up.
Little did Raihna know, but she was starting to take her first few proper steps forward, and she didn't even realize it. One step followed another, and then another, and then another. He had nearly led her around the area their bed was just by his lips, and pulling away finally in his excitement to exclaim her achievement, "Don't look now Raihna, but you are walking--woah!" He was cut off as he tripped over the broom he had enchanted a week ago that had since run out of arcane power, landing on his back, quickly followed by Raihna, who tripped over and onto him.
At least she had something soft to land on. As Loic waited for the spots to clear from his vision, he moaned and looked up at the ceiling, his first thoughts being of what happened to the golden pegasus. His second thoughts were of the strange and foreign pressure on his chest, stomach, and waist. His third thoughts, as he opened his eyes, were of just how beautiful and enticing Raihna looked at this angle.
His eyes opened wide and he blushed as his breath caught in his throat and his heart skipped a beat. Raihna had fallen on top of him; he on his back, her back legs on either side of him, and the rest of her body pressed against him. The suggestiveness of this position was something that Loic was well aware of, indicative of the bright red his cheeks turned. His front hooves lifted themselves to either side of Raihna, instinctively, but gently holding onto her.
A thought crossed his mind as they lay like this; what did Raihna think about this kind of action that this predicament suggested? When she looked at him, he gave her a smirk and commented just as calmly, "Well, that -was- walking... what do you say we take a break and just take things slow for a few minutes and... enjoy your victory..." He paused and looked her up and down before saying, "You look so very attractive from this angle, you know that?"

Raihna gave a bit of a quiet, frustrated sigh at Loic's suggestion that she try not to think about it. She knew she had to try not to, but she couldn't. If she didn't, she'd just wind up falling over because she failed to figure out how to walk in a new form. As Loic apparently thought about a better way to phrase the impossible, Raihna looked down to the ground and closed her eyes, trying to quell her frustration.
However, when Loic resituated her legs for her she opened her eyes again, a light blush found its way to her face at the contact. She then turned her gaze up to his face, offering him a confused look as he moved to stand in front of her with an easy smile. The confused look remained for a moment or two after he asked her to close her eyes and clear her mind, but she soon did so. With the help of his words and suggestions, she slowly began to do just that as she listened to what he said, to his soothing words as they grew quieter and quieter with each syllable.
A surprised squeak escaped her when she felt his lips press against hers and she had to fight the urge to snap her eyes open again. She quickly relaxed again though, and melted under the gesture despite not exactly understanding the reason behind it; it made her feel good, made her feel truly beautiful. Yet despite that, her previous frustrations were added on to when she felt Loic try to pull away from the kiss, either trying to tease her or break the kiss much too early. Greedily, Raihna leaned forward as she kept the kiss going until she could lean forward no more. At that point, she had to take a step forward or she'd risk breaking the kiss and leave her longing for more.
Focused entirely on the kiss and trying to maintain it and the sensations that came along with it, Raihna took a step towards Loic without thinking about it, followed by a few more as Loic continued to move away from her. She didn't understand why he was doing this, teasing her like this. It was obvious that was what he was doing at this point since he didn't outright break the kiss and let her know of something wrong. It made her just want to pin him down then and there so she could focus on this experience with him, rather than have to follow him around like this.
In what still felt like much too sudden a moment, Loic broke the kiss as he cheered that she was now walking, before exclaiming in surprise as he fell backwards. Now thinking about walking again, as well as being just as surprised by Loic's fall as he was, Raihna stumbled forward before tripping and falling on top of him as well with a squeal of shock. Dazed, she lied on top of him for a moment before lifting her head and slowly shaking it as she attempted to regain her bearings. When she did so she glanced down to Loic, breathlessly staring down to him as she realized the position they were in, yet another blush coloring her cheeks. Though, she didn't really have any reason to complain about how this had turned out, especially with the natural way her back legs had settled on either side of him, and his hooves that now gently held theirselves to her own sides.
A giggle escaped her when Loic corrected what he'd said before he fell, before offering a nod in agreement at his suggestion that they slow down for a few minutes, though she couldn't help but wonder if he meant something else when he said 'enjoy her victory', considering the pause he put in his words. She had little opportunity to contemplate that however, as he quite visibly looked her up and down before asking if she knew that she looked attractive from this angle.
The blush already at her cheeks intensified furiously in a combination of both of those things, though she did manage to give a coy smile as she turned her gaze away as if in embarrassment. "You really sink so, Loic?" she asked idly even though it was a question Loic had already answered before. "I still have such a hard time vrappink my head around ze fact zhat I chose a look zhat you appreciate so much... It is... surprisink, yes? Shockink. But sank you again; it does make me feel good about myself."
She paused for a moment before slowly readjusting her limbs on Loic's chest so her front legs were crossed over him and she could easily gaze at his face from her place on top of him as she set her head on her legs. "If it is anysink like I imagine, however, I very likely look how I imagined you looked vhen you vere... em... toverink over me... exercisink my legs for me..." She glanced away for a moment, bright cheeks telling tale of her state of mind. "It vas... flusterink, but in a good vay--if zhat makes sense. It made me... disappointed vhen it vas over."
Her smile faded slightly when she realized exactly what it was she was saying and she seemed to sheepishly shrink away from Loic's gaze as she spoke up again. "I vas not sinkink about my vords, Loic, I am sorry; zhat is perhaps too forvard considerink... I am still new to beink a pony..." A quiet whine escaped her as she continued to dig herself deeper into a hole with every word she spoke. "Just please disregard vhat I said? I do not vish to make sinks uncomfortable between us, especially because of zhat..."

The blush on Raihna's face said only a little to Loic. The coy little smile that she gave him alongside it, and the fact that she did not move much from this position, suggested that she either did not know exactly what she was unintentionally doing, or that she knew what she was doing and continued doing it because she wanted to. She was just so shy about him complimenting how she looked, but judging just by how she took to it so easily, and the fact that she told him, she liked being told she was beautiful. It wouldn't be so hard to remember that, he was reminded of that fact every time that he looked at her.
He chuckled a little as the pegasus leaned forward onto his chest, crossing her legs and resting her head on them, only to look him in the eyes. It wouldn't be that hard to see that his blush became a little more prominent, and the hooves at her sides moved more around her back, wrapping his legs around her lower back and holding her a little tighter. "I could say you read my mind when it comes to the definition of physical beauty. Long, flowing mane, a nice coat colour, striking eyes..." he let his voice drift off as he canted his head, giving himself a few seconds to look into her eyes, with which she took this opportunity to describe how she thought she looked to him.
He raised an eyebrow when she compared it to the thought of him 'towering' over her as he was exercising her legs. Thinking back on that, it was a bit of an awkward moment for him as well, due to the unintentionally intimate nature of the action, but he did remember her blushing as he did that. It definitely wasn't what he originally thought it was, she was thinking of something else other than how embarrassing the action was. No, from what Raihna told him, she was very okay with it.
Her smile then faded and she withdrew a bit from him after telling him that it was flustering in a good way, and began to apologize for what she said, before just asking him to disregard what she said. He blinked a few times before offering her another reassuring smile, bringing one of his hooves further up her back for a second to rub her back reassuringly before returning it to its previous position with another squeeze and heavy sigh.
Calmly, he spoke up again with an easy smile, "Okay Raihna, I'll disregard what you said. Of course, that means I can't allow myself to remember a few juicy little details about you though..." His calm smile turned a little more coy as he gave a deep and throaty chuckle while leaning forward to plant a kiss on the tip of her snout. He could only wonder what was going through her mind at this time, and he gave her a few more seconds to think about it before he spoke again.
"The first thing I can't allow myself to remember about you: that you enjoy me giving you massages. Particularly..." Growing a little bold, the light blue unicorn shifted the hooves that were around Raihna's lower back, tracing them down the crest of her hips and onto her thighs, applying a little pressure and tracing a slow circle on them, reminiscent of what he did when he would knead them while Raihna was recovering at first, and he continued in a more coy tone that matched his smile, "... right around here, if I'm not mistaken?"
As he did that, he felt a little heated. The slow and light massage was shifting her hips ever-so-slightly on him, and the near teasing action drove him to the brink of madness. He didn't want to act on any of these feelings just yet. Raihna was obviously scared of taking things too fast, evident by her asking to disregard what she told him, and he wanted to show her that he at least had some self-control. That didn't stop him from becoming excited about what was happening, and his breathing became a little heavier, the gold pegasus on his chest rising and falling a little higher as a result.
He didn't stop there though, after he finished that, he brought his legs back up around her back and said, "You wouldn't want me to forget that now, right? Or maybe that you enjoy the sight of me... heh, 'towering' over you." He grinned as he visualized himself doing something like that, but thought against it. Raihna seemed comfortable where she was right now, and it was getting near that time where Applejack would make an appearance, and she had already caught them in some... interesting positions, but that one would probably set her off the most.
Smiling up at her, he said, "You don't have to hide how you feel about me out of fear that we are going too fast. We have known each other for so long now, you can be as open with me as you want and I would not hold you against it, and I don't know about you but I'm far from uncomfortable with where we are right now." Giving a content sigh and another squeeze, he leaned his head back to rest it against the floor as his neck was getting sore holding it up.
"If you want to know what I find absolutely... flustering, in a good way about you?" his tone was far off, as though he was relaxing and content as he continued, "How you just love to press yourself up against me. You and that gorgeous, perfect body of yours just leaning into me or laying on top of me like this. You are just so warm and so light that I can't say no to you... especially when you are straddling me like this." He gave her a wink and leaned forward to nuzzle her cheek, "I don't think I'd mind if you wanted to remember that..."

Raihna relaxed ever-so-slightly when Loic spoke up, telling her that he'd disregard what she'd said... only to tense up again when he mentioned that meaning he wouldn't be able to "remember a few juicy details about her". What did he mean by that? What juicy details? What about her was juicy? Why did he say that? She didn't react to the kiss to her snout he gave, instead devoting her time to trying to figure Loic and what he said out.
Luckily, she didn't have to think very long. She zoned back in when he mentioned "the first thing", yet another subconscious blush coming to her cheeks when he did so. He reminded her of the massages that she enjoyed from him, and... and how she particularly liked when he focused on her thighs. At this, her blush furiously flared up, causing her gaze to shift to the side not out of embarrassment, but because it flustered her. It was agony, feeling the touch of his hooves there again especially considering their current predicaments. It was only made even worse when Loic mentioned how she enjoyed the sight of him towering over her. She still didn't understand what the purpose of this was, or why he was doing this... but she hoped that he was trying to say that he didn't mind her being that forward. It would certainly make things easier.
...Which was exactly what he was trying to say. He reassured her, saying that they'd known each other for so long that something like that no longer mattered, even telling her that he was comfortable with where they were. Finally, Raihna's look of hesitation gave way to another one of her smiles as she returned her gaze to Loic's face, watching him as he continued on to say how he liked when she pressed herself against him like this. She moved one of her hooves forward and settled it against his jaw at that, gently stroking it as he said everything else he had to say.
"I cannot help but feel my heart skip a beat as you say zhat to me, Loic. I do not know vhat you truly meant by zhat, but I am vell avare of what I hope zhat it means. I admit it is somevhat odd, sinkink about... matink, now zhat I possess ze body of a pony, but for some reason... I cannot get it out of my mind." She froze for a moment as she realized just what she said, her expression taking on a deer-in-the-headlights quality before remembering that he did tell her that they could be open with each other. So, taking a deep breath and gulping down her hesitation, she continued on, her tone of voice carrying an almost cautious quality. "You asked earlier vhat it vas I did zhat required so much movement, yes? Vell... um... Vhen I vas alone here, my mind vould often vander to you, and... m-my curiosity got ze better of me a-and... I explored my body. Every time I h-have... done it, it has felt great but, em... After a vhile I started to feel strange, so I... stopped."
She cleared her throat after that, realizing now that she'd stopped sliding her hoof along Loic's jaw and had instead held it there a little awkwardly as she admitted herself to him. She took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself before trying to take the conversation somewhere else. "It is also strange to sink zhat one of ze only ones I have ever vished to mate vis... is a pony, and it is not even matink season. I am... a bit lost, to be honest, and... confused about somesink. I am a pony now, yes, but... I used to be griffon, Loic. Does that not make sinks... awkvard? Or... Just veird in general? Am I... terrible for vishink for zhis?"

With a hum in thought and a soft sigh, Loic listened as Raihna explained thwt she was thinking. She was becoming more open with him at least, especially since she decided to bring up the thought of mating, which even between dating couples would have been a bit of an awkward subject to bring up without sounding silly, and while Raihna did sound a little silly saying it, more because of how innocently she said it and that little look of shock as she realized what she was talking about, Loic didn't seem to mind it as he was used to her manner of speech. She wasn't exactly familiar with equine social norms, and that they were very different from those of griffons anyway, she could be allowed to get away with a few things. It was a bit refreshing that she was honest about it anyway.
He did swallow a little out of anxiousness when she started to describe what she did when he wasn't around that involved her moving about so much. It was probably one of things that he least expected her to do mostly because it never crossed his mind that she would actually try to explore herself as she was insinuating. What made it a little more--he wasn't sure if he should think it 'better' or 'awkward' because it was a good mix of both--was that she did this while she was thinking about him. He continued to watch her as she finished explaining, aware that the hoof that had been caressing his jaw so tenderly had stopped moving as she focused on getting herself to say what she wanted to say.
Letting the silence stay as he figured that she was trying to compose herself after that admittance, Loic's mind wandered to a scene of Raihna waiting for him to come back one of the past days. Just laying there waiting for him, not exactly sleeping as often as Loic thought she would, but doing things a little differently away from prying eyes. He started to fluster at the thought of how she passed the time as the scene continued to play out in his head, and he had to stop thinking about it so that his silence didn't give Raihna the wrong idea.
Raihna then changed the subject of the conversation, which Loic was grateful for, and instead went back to the topic of mating. Funny how this subject wasn't as awkward as the idea of Raihna pleasuring herself while he was away, maybe because Raihna still thought of the subject like a griffon would, and some of the things that she said were pretty funny to expect out of equine culture. That brought up the next question though, and it gave Loic a little pause as he thought about it. Raihna had been a griffon for most of her life; it was the reason she still thought like one and not like a pony. He was dating a griffon in all respects, even if she now had the body of a pony, and saying that the fact that they were discussing mating was a little strange would be an understatement.
"No, you aren't terrible for wishing for this, Raihna. While yes, I can safely say that these kind of circumstances have not exactly been replicated before, I suppose it would all be in how you look at it. Your ability to act on your feelings was incredibly limited as a griffon, as I'm sure you know, and now that you are a pony, you are much more capable of acting out your emotions in an acceptable way." As he said that, he thought to himelf; at least she had dreamed of being with Loic this entire time and it wouldn't be very awkward for her as it was something she always wanted both as a griffon and as a pony, for Loic it was a little different. He wasn't sure if he could think about Raihna having been a griffon if they ever got around to what it was she wanted to do with him.
"It is only really strange if we let it be strange. The only ponies that know about this are miss Applejack and miss Applebloom, and as soon as we leave, it wouldn't matter. Just think of it as a way the two of us can get to know each other much more intimately." He paused to squeeze her against him, trying not to think about the fact that this coat used to be feathers and fur. Figuring that changing the subject on it would help him out, he addressed something else that she said, "Don't worry about wanting to mate with a pony outside of mating season either. We don't really have a mating season like griffons do, so we can just... well, mate whenever we feel like it."
A wave of curiosity suddenly overcame him, and the thought once again caused his cheeks to redden, but he wanted to know about this before Applejack eventually came around looking for him, "Hey, this may seem a little bit odd to ask, but when you are... exploring yourself when I'm not around, you mentioned that you usually end up thinking about me..." He shuffled himself a little as he once again became aware that she was very suggestively situated on top of him, "I'm just wondering, and you don't have to tell me if you don't want to... what exactly do you think about? Is there any sort of fantasy that plays out in your head while you do that?" He gave her an awkward smile and added, "I'm just curious is all, seeing that you have quite a lot of time to yourself while I'm gone and thinking about you as well."

Unable to get rid of the blush still at her cheeks, Raihna listened to Loic as he responded to her question of whether this was morally right. While he sounded rather confident in his response when he got around to it, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of hesitation still in regards to it, though she decided not to pursue that line of thought in her head and instead focused on listening to Loic and what he had to say.
He had a good point when he mentioned it only being strange if they let it be. She wanted this, and for the most part Loic seemed somewhat interested in pursuing it as well... so maybe she could try to put those thoughts behind her as well, and instead worry about the future. She would've hated to let what she no longer was ruin the chances of what she had now--it was, after all, a very major reason as to why she'd gone through with this in the first place.
When Loic pursued his next line of questioning, Raihna felt the blush at her cheeks begin to creep back, not really expecting him to go back to her and what she did sometimes while Loic was away. However, she watched him as he tried to get his question across, glancing away momentarily only when Loic shifted beneath her, making her remember just what kind of position they were in. She paused for a moment when he did ask his question, trying her best to think of how to word her thoughts in regards to if she had any sort of fantasy of some kind.
"Em... I... do not sink so, Loic," she responded calmly after a few seconds of this, shrugging her shoulders a bit as well. "I just... imagine us togeser, just beink vis each oser... sometimes exactly like zhis. Vords lead to action vhich leads us to... em, makink love, yes? It is not somesink I am all zhat familiar vis, sough... so I have only ever sought about simple sinks, sinks I know ponies do commonly." She paused again after that before reaching her head forward so she could tenderly place a kiss on Loic's lips.
"Sank you, my love, for beink so... agreeable vis all of zhis. For beink villink to talk and not close your mind to my sudden affection. I know I have been makink a few mistakes, and... It is encouragink, knovink zhat you are not blamink me for zhem, and zhat you vill not do so. I suppose I am to sayink... I feel comfortable vis you. And I appreciate zhat." Her ears perked up after that as she heard the telltale sign of a door opening nearby, to which Raihna tried her best to readjust her back legs so they were no longer in such a suggestive position before hugging Loic tightly. "And zhere is Miss Applejack... I vill see you vhen you are done, Loic. Take care, and do not hurt yourself," she said lovingly as she gave him a warm smile.

So Loic left to do just that. He followed Applejack back around the farm, as he did every day, doing whatever menial or magic-oriented tasks that she gave him so that both he and Raihna could keep staying in the barn. It was hard work that ranged from chopping firewood, cleaning gutters, painting, all sorts of house and yard work that needed to be done before winter dropped it's first snow on the land. It had been a long time since Loic had worked this hard for this amount of time; sure they both had to do odd jobs to make money to be able to feed themselves for when they couldn't gather enough food for themselves, but never to stay in one place for so long.
It was monotonous, but it gave Loic a sense of purpose. He was working to keep himself, and more importantly, the mare he loved, living somewhat comfortably, at least able to get by. This was exactly how most stallions felt, he could guess; going to work for eight hours a day, forty hours a week to support a family as the mare stayed to care for the children. It garnered a proud feeling to be able to provide for such a thing, even if it was only for a mare that depended on him for now.
The day went by quickly, helped by thoughts that were implanted in his head after his and Raihna's little conversation earlier that day. He just couldn't get her words out of his head, and Applejack must have guessed that something was up as she didn't really say much about the two of them, other than asking how her walking was coming along. There was a hint of something else that she wanted to say, but Loic could pretty much tell what it was by the distance she seemed to keep from him at all times. He probably smelled awful after not having a bath during these weeks of hard work.
That was why when he came back, he brought a water basin back into the barn after asking Applejack, who seemed very eager to allow him to do that. Pushing open the barn door just as the last light of day was fading, he grunted as he dragged the metal basin into the barn, along with some soap and shampoo that he was borrowing as well. There wasn't going to be much of a point to washing up now; it would be cold and miserable, especially for Raihna. He wanted to wait for morning when he could properly heat up the water for the both of them, and when he wasn't so tired.
He just hoped that he wasn't disturbing Raihna if she was sleeping as he dragged the basin across the floor to the wall a few meters away from the makeshift bed the golden pegasus was laying on. With one final sigh as he pushed it into place, he wiped his brow and glanced over to where the mare was, and his thoughts already went back to what she had told him earlier that day. He did leave her at a relatively heated moment, and he could only wonder what she did afterwards, not that he really could know but one could speculate.
With legs that felt like lead, he stumbled over to the bed and crawled into it, shuffling himself over until he was beside Raihna, and he asked quietly, "Hey Raihna... how've you been?" He rolled over onto his side and wrapped his forelegs around her, and she did the same, pulling herself closer and resting her head against him. It was hard to tell in the fading light if she was awake or half asleep and this had become an automatic response, but it was nice to come back to, "Kinda sore from all the work today, and gods does it feel good to finally relax and unwind a bit..." He pulled her closer, feeling how warm she was after he had been exposed to the nippy air while working for so long, and held her tight, nuzzling the top of her head tenderly, "Still worth it to come back and be with you, love. I haven't realized just how nice it feels to be with somepony like this before you admitted you loved me." He inhaled deeply and let it out slowly as he relaxed and asked, "Did you do anything interesting while I was gone, hmm?"

From yet another nap to pass the time, Raihna opened her eyes as she heard an odd scraping sound through the barn. Frowning slightly, she rose her head just enough so she could figure out what it was that was making the noise, only to see Loic dragging some kind of large bucket to where she was. She watched this for a moment before lowering her head back onto the pillow and waiting for him to join her in the bed as he usually did after coming back from working for Applejack. He was stumbling a little bit as he did so, which made her pause for concern over him.
"I have been sleepink, Loic, so I have been quite vell," she murmured quietly, not needing to be very loud in the barn's silent air. When Loic rolled onto his side, she gladly moved her forelegs to wrap around him. "And vhat about you? How are you feelink? I could not help but notice zhat you vere stumblink over here..." She fell silent as Loic then responded saying that he was sore from all the work, and that it felt good to relax, only to go on and say that it was worth it to come back to her.
Smiling brightly, Raihna tightened the embrace she held Loic with, even going as far as nuzzling against the coat her head was already tucked against. "All I did vhen you left vas exercise my legs more--I vish more zhan ever now to get back onto my p... em, hooves... I vant to explore ze vorld vis you... and, um, each oser, of course..." She pulled her head back after that, offering something of an awkward, if warm, smile.
"Mm... 'Love'... Ze sound of zhat gets better every day, yes?" she said as she returned her head to his coat, once more nuzzling into it. "And it is somesink I am very glad to hear. It is a good feelink, and it is entirely because of you." She giggled at that, hugging him tighter once more before continuing. "Vhat vas zhat tub for, by zhe vay? If you are so tired, vhy vere you draggink it?" At reminding herself of his being tired she moved one of her hooves to his chest and gently began to rub there, almost as if she imagined she'd give him a little bit of reprieve from his sore muscles just with that alone.

Loic stretched each of his legs to the best of his ability as he lay beside Raihna, groaning a little bit before settling back down and sinking into the bedroll. The gold pegasus whispered to him, asking why he was stumbling into the barn and asking if he was alright, to which he responded with a yawn, "I am alright Raihna, just very exhausted from work today. Who would think that there could be so many chores to do around the acres this late in the year? I can only imagine how Miss Applejack gets it all done by herself."
He could feel himself drifting off as Raihna began to describe how her day went, which pretty much entailed sleep and exercise, as she was instructed to do by the unicorn. He just felt so at ease after coming from so much work to hear that Raihna was happy, and to have her nestled up against him. It was a comforting feeling, with all that he needed to listen to being the tiny and accented voice that he always thought was very endearing to her character. To hear that she still wanted to explore the world with him as well was very promising. It was definitely something that he still wanted to keep up, but he was thinking that maybe taking a little break in Ponyville for a little longer wouldn't be such a bad idea. It would allow Raihna to get used to the more social life of ponies anyway.
She then asked him about the tub that he dragged into the barn, and he twisted his neck around to look at it once more before responding quietly, "Well, it has been about a week or so, and we haven't really done much in terms of getting cleaned up." He chuckled to himself nervously before adding, "I think Miss Applejack could smell me from a mile away, she tried to avoid getting too close to me, and I kinda figured that with all the physical labour I'm doing, I can't really smell that great."
He sighed and continued, "So I asked if the two of us could borrow that basin and some soap so we can get ourselves cleaned up and smelling nice, and she practically agreed before I finished. Guess it was getting pretty bad, heh..." He trailed off, a hint of embarrassment colouring his tone before he cleared his throat and continued, "So, first thing I'm gonna do tomorrow after breakfast is warm up some water and we'll clean ourselves up. It'll be a nice, relaxing way to start off the day."
He gave her another squeeze and a relaxed sigh as she started to rub his chest. While it didn't do much for his muscles, it was still very relaxing, and once more, he became aware that his eyes were drooping shut. He returned the favour as best he could by rubbing her back, planting a kiss on her forehead as he said, "We should probably get some sleep now, love. I am so exhausted, I can feel my eyes slipping shut already. Goodnight Rai... sleep well..."
------------------
Loic awoke the next day as he did the last, with the sun shining in his face. Maybe the corner was not such a great idea for the bed to be if he was going to keep waking up like this. With a long moan, he stretched his legs again and nuzzled the top of Raihna's head, who still lay nestled against his chest. She looked so peaceful sleeping like this, it was a shame that he already knew that he would have to leave her in a few seconds so that he could start gathering and warming up water for the basin.
He lifted a hoof and stroked the top of her head for a few more minutes before shuffling himself out of her grasp, meeting only a little resistance before he was able to break free. Once he rolled out of the bed, he slowly and groggily walked over to the basin and lifted out a bucket. He took this bucket outside and around to the side of the barn, where there was a water pump that needed to be pumped by hoof. Setting the bucket down under it, he worked the lever up and down and soon a steady stream of cold water gushed into the bucket.
When it was full, he brought it back in and poured it into the basin. It only filled up a little bit, so he made another trip, and then another. he kept coming and going until the basin was a good three-quarters full. Now all it needed was to be warmed up. He sat down and looked at the book that had been floating behind him this entire time. It opened in a flurry of pages, flipping wildly until he stopped it with his hoof, flipping a few more pages until he came across a heat spell. Good enough to work with, he supposed.
He looked at the metal basin, and his horn glowed, a blue magic enveloping it as he concentrated. He focused on the metal of the basin, vibrating it rapidly, down to the molecules. The friction caused the water to start to steam after a few minutes, and he stopped as soon as he saw that. He dipped a leg in to check the temperature, satisfied that it wasn't uncomfortably cold or boiling hot. Just warm and relaxing.
Glancing back at the bed, he could see that Raihna was watching him with big green eyes. He smiled at her before he gestured to the tub with a proud grin, "Ladies first, Miss Raihna. I warmed it up just for you." He then stood up and walked back over to the bed, ready to help her walk over to the tub and get in so that he could help her clean herself up.

Raihna's peaceful sleep was disturbed as she felt Loic moving beside her, causing her to groan lightly and tighten her hold on him, both trying to get him to lie still and to keep the warm mass next to her from going anywhere. Of course, it was all in vain as she felt Loic roll out of her grasp causing her to groggily open her eyes with a light pout. She thought about asking him to come back to bed with her, but about the time she worked up the resolve to do so, she saw why he had gotten up in the first place: to prepare the bath he mentioned last night.
So, a little crestfallen but completely understanding of the situation, she just quietly watched Loic as he moved, a tiny smile crossing her lips as he moved between water spout and basin. She wanted to get up so she could help him fill the tub, but her limbs were still useless. She'd only wind up worrying him than being of any aid, so she just continued to lay there, gaze locked onto Loic as she thought about how handsome she found him and how considerate he was to prepare the bath for them both when she couldn't.
After Loic heated the tub up and gestured to it with a hoof, the smile on her face spread a little bit before rolling over so she could push herself up on her hooves as she had the day before. "You are such a gentlecolt," Raihna said with a giggle when Loic stepped over to her, offering him a nuzzle to his neck as well before trying to take a step forward with his help. "Sank you for preparink zhis for me, my dear. I truly do appreciate zhis." She gave another smile at that before attempting to focus on stepping over to the tub, once more having a little bit of trouble trying not to trip over herself. It seemed as if she had a much easier time of it today, but it was obvious it was still going to take a few days' work.
When she stepped over to the tub, she slowly climbed in with Loic's help, trying her best not to splash any water over the side of the basin as she did. She closed her eyes and gave a quiet sigh as the warm water soaked into her skin before collecting herself and trying to grab the nearby rag and soap. She didn't have to try very long before Loic took it upon himself to get it for her. She reached out to take the items from Loic, but he quite seem to want to give them to her. Instead, he rubbed the soap onto the rag before pressing the rag to her, causing her to blush lightly. She had no idea how far he was going to go with this, but she didn't want to be so useless to the point where she had to rely on him to clean her as well. So, a little nervously she spoke up, slowly reaching a hoof up to his. "Y-you do not have to do zhis, Loic. I can vash myself..." She had a feeling that her words were going to fall deaf, however; he seemed rather set on doing all of this for her...

Loic helped Raihna into the basin, smiling to himself as she thanked him for preparing this for her. It was just as much for him as it was for her, but this was going to be something that would help her relax a little too. He watched her carefully after she got in, making sure that she didn't slip and accidently submerge herself as she was sitting down. The last thing he wanted was for her confidence in something like a bath to be drained, or else they would have problems down the road.
When she settled, he saw that she was reaching for the rag and soap, and immediately, he snatched it up in his magic, rubbing the soap onto the rag. He walked around the basin so that he could get at her back and started to rub the soap into her coat, the soap working itself into little translucent white bubbles as he did. Even as Raihna stated that she was completely capable of doing this herself, Loic just grinned and kept doing what he was doing.
"I'm sure you can wash yourself Raihna, but why do it yourself when I am so insistently offering to do it for you, hmm? Just take some time to enjoy the water." He chuckled as he continued to rub the soap into her shoulders, "Besides, how would you be able to reach places like your back? -I- can't even reach my own back." He pressed his hooves into her back and massaged the soap into her, transferring the rag to his hooves as he picked up the bucket with his magic and dipped it into the water before pouring it down her back, the warm liquid washing away the soap that was left there.
He then dipped the bucket into the water once more, this time lifting it above her head and pouring it onto her mane. The hair became heavy and pressed to her head and shoulders, and Loic laughed at how silly and cute she looked as she brushed the mane that fell in her eyes away. He then took the bottle of shampoo and applied a fair amount on top of her head, wetting his hooves before he started to massage it into her mane as well, globs of soap bubbles sliding down her mane and into the water.
When he rinsed her off with another bucketful of water, he looked at her and smiled before stepping into the basin himself, "Guess it's my turn now, huh?" He dunked his head under the water to wet his mane, coming back up to look like a mess of light blue hair had replaced his head. It was a little small for two full grown ponies, especially with one being an Omminari, but it was still workable. He gave the rag and soap to Raihna and tried to turn himself around as best he could, "I guess it's your turn to return the favour, huh?" He then looked over his shoulder and offered her a grin, watching to see what she would do.

Raihna continued to hold her hoof out for a few moments after Loic denied her the rag before slowly lowering her hoof under the surface of the water with a quiet groan as he told her to relax and enjoy the water, a light blush on her cheeks at the feel of his hooves on her body. She would have been lying if she said that she wasn't enjoying this... or that she really could reach her own back.
So, she just quietly sat there in the tub, allowing Loic to do whatever he needed to to get her clean. Shortly after, Loic lifted up a small bucket and started to pour it over her head. She closed her eyes and held her breath at that, waiting until she felt all the water run down before releasing her breath in a heavy sigh and lifting a hoof up to brush her mane out of her eyes, even wrinkling her nose a bit at Loic's laughing at her. Next was washing her mane... To avoid getting any of the shampoo in her eyes, she shut them again, nose still wrinkled slightly. This was yet one more thing that felt strange--the hair had no feeling in it, but she could feel everything he did with her mane.
After a few minutes, Loic poured another bucket of water over her mane, resulting in her pushing it out of her eyes again with a hoof, only to widen them slightly as Loic stepped into the tub with her and dunked his head under the water. When he came back up, she couldn't help but giggle as well at the sight, at how silly he looked like that. Whatever surprise she felt at the situation a few moments ago was replaced by a warm, easy smile as she took the rag and soap Loic gave her before trying her best to rub the soap onto the rag.
Upon doing so, she set the rag onto Loic's back and put both hooves onto the rag before attempting to scrub his back with the rag. It was difficult, but she stubbornly kept at it, despite slipping a couple times and falling forward onto his back. All she could do was pick herself back up and keep going to try and finish cleaning Loic up. When that was done... the only thing that was left was cleaning his mane, and if she had that much trouble trying to wash his back... "I do not sink I vill be able to vash your mane for you, Loic. I am sorry," she said a little sheepishly as she draped the rag over the side of the tub and set the bar of soap somewhere clean.
She looked back to him after that, eyes roaming over the coat of the pony she had come to love, over the body of the pony she had somehow become attracted to. She must have lost herself in this task, as she soon heard Loic tell her she was finished, followed by him turning around in the tub so he was sitting down in it. She watched him for a moment before smiling to him and pushing herself up slightly, only to turn herself so she could sit back against him, the back of her head resting against his shoulder. She turned her head slightly after that so she could plant a kiss on the underside of her jaw before speaking, her voice quiet and loving. "Sank you, for vashink me, Loic. As vell as everysink I have sanked you for so far. You are... so very good to me, and I am honored to know zhat you feel I deserve you. It is very humblink, and... em, pleasink to know..." She paused at that as she slowly resituated herself against him to get more comfortable. "So... Loic, my love... Vhat are ve goink to do vhen I am able to valk once more?"

Loic smiled as he felt Raihna press the cloth against his back, noting how while still a little weak, she still showed significant improvement in her strength. Well, almost anyway; every so often she would slip and fall against his back, knocking him forward a little everytime. He couldn't help but let a few little chuckles out at that, she was still uncoordinated and pretty awkward, but it always led to moments that made her look even more cute. In a way he felt sorry for her, as she without a doubt had the tougher job of the two of them. Being an Omminari, Loic's coat was a lot shaggier than that of a normal pony's, and Raihna had to work through all of it to actually get him clean.
When he heard her say that it was all that she could do, he turned around and nodded to her with a smile, and said as he poured a little of the bottle of shampoo on his head, "It's absolutely fine, RaiRai. You did good, you go the one spot I couldn't reach, and it felt really nice." He wasn't sure if she heard him though, she seemed to have zoned out as she watched him, so with a slight shake of his head and a smile, he scrubbed at his long light blue mane. When it was nice and sudsy, he dunked his head underwater again, shaking his mane underwater to work the soap out of it.
He surfaced again and pushed his mane out of his eyes, speculating once again that he was in desperate need of a haircut. "Alright... all clean." He turned himself back around in the tub so that he was facing Raihna, giving her a smile as he leaned back against the tub. Raihna seemed to have a similar idea, turning herself around so that her back was facing him and leaning back into him. He held out his legs, catching her and slowly helping her lean back comfortably against him, wrapping the leg closest to her around her waist.
Chuckling to himself once more as Raihna planted a kiss under his jaw, thanking him for washing her. He nuzzled her cheek and kissed her there gently a few times too. "I deserve you and you deserve me... we both deserve each other RaiRai." He sighed and rested his head against the top of hers, relishing in the moment as they both just sat in a basin of warm water, relaxing with each other. Miss Applejack seemed okay with letting him have today to himself so that he could spend time with Raihna. It wouldn't be long before they would be able to move out of the barn, and they could say farewell to the kind proprietor of the acres as they went on with their lives.
He hummed and looked down at Raihna as she said his name, and gave another questioning hum in thought and she asked what they were going to do when Raihna learned how to walk again. "Well, what we can do first is wander around Ponyville for a week or two, find a few fun things to do around town maybe so that you can have a little fun and a first hand experience of social life as a pony. We'll probably move into a hotel for the duration of that so that we don't have to bother Miss Applejack anymore and finally get some... time to ourselves..."
The leg around her lower back tightened and pulled her against him a little more, and said, "Then maybe we could see about heading more west, maybe to Manehattan... I'm not sure what else is over there while not looking at the map, but we won't go as far as the Mild West, that's for sure. We'd pretty much be going back to our life as we were, just travelling together, seeing the sights that the world has to offer... eventually settle down when we've had enough of it and live the rest of the days out happily with each other..." He leaned back a little more and said in a whispery exhale, "Sounds very nice to me..."
After a few more minutes, he sat up and got ready to get out of the tub, "Well, we should probably get out now... no point in sitting in used bathwater all day, don't want to get too pruny." He stepped out of the tub before helping her out as well, grabbing one of the two towels and helping dry her off before getting his own towel to dry off. When they were more or less not dripping wet anymore, he brushed up against her and steered her to the front door of the barn and said with a smile, "Come on, let's sit outside for a while and let the sun dry us off. It's probably going to be the last beautiful and warm day before winter hits us, and some fresh air would do both of us wonders."
