As the four were right near an apple stand, Livewire took some of his own bits and bought an apple for each of the group, plus about a half dozen more to take back to the Manor. Once the apples were divided out, he took a bite of his own, hiding his look of disgust quite well. His brother's best friend, Asher, had a great love of apples, and the taste of them only served as a reminder of the time that Tinago had impaled him to a wall, just for existing. That had been such a fun day up until that happened...
"See, apples are good for you, and they taste quite nice as well." He nodded to the pegasus that had suddenly appeared back; The same one that had given Zair a few bits for seemingly no reason. Odd one, he was. Some ponies were just generous though. "And as for you, little Heart." He give her a small poke in the side. "You never even came to visit me, after I gave you my address. I must say, I was looking forward to the company from one as interested in the medical arts as myself, as small a filly as you may be."

Heart took her apple and gave it to Zair. She was much hungrier than Heart was, it seemed. The material knew that Zair would appreciate the food and likely need more. So it was the obvious choice. "Here ya go mom! " she exclaimed happily as she handed the apple to her 'mother'.
Then livewire began talking about how Heart had never visited her. It had only been five days since she last saw him. Two of those days were surgery on a patient, two more were recovery, and the last one was when she went out and found Zair in the forest while looking for herbs. It had been buisy for her lately. "Oh sorry! It's only been five days... But I still have the address." Heart took a small paper out of her saddlebags and showed it to Livewire, it was a copy of the one he gave her... The original was destroyed. "I haven't forgotten... I was just so buisy... "

She bowed slightly to Doctor Therapy, "T'ank you, I'm not accustomed to... your customs of bits and paying...yet." she smiled and took her apple. Shifting her hooves, her ethereal chain rattled behind her, making her blush. Her embarrassment was interrupted by Heart, offering her own apple.
"Oh no, sweetie. I can not taake yours..." she put her hoof on Heart's refusing the apple. and took a bite of her own. She watched as the Doctor and Heart conversed

Livewire looked down at the paper that Heart had showed him. While he couldn't actually read what it said, it certainly didn't look like the shape of paper that he'd give to her in the first place. If she was trying to sell him out to the authorities, her head would be hanging from the top of Town Hall by sunrise. Wait...would sunset be better? He made a note to check whether the rising, or falling of the sun would make for a better scene for such an event.
"Certainly. These things do happen." He turned his gaze from Heart's legs back to Zair's face, the difference in height quite a bit. "No need to worry about getting used to a new culture. I had to deal with a bit of culture shock myself when I first came to Equestria from Zebrica. I may not look it, but that was my original home." Speaking of homes, for that matter. "You stated you were homeless at the moment, yes? If you'd like, you're free to stay where I'm currently located, at least until you get yourself up on your hooves."

Heart listened to livewire talk about how it was 'okay' that she hadn’t visited him yet. He seemed, at least to everypony else, to be calm and collective. But to Heart, he was anything but that. She sensed a slight tone of betrayal in his voice, something that had appeared earlier.... though she had not paid much attention to it at the time.
Suddenly, he was offering her a home. This was perfect, Livewire could help Zair get used to the customs of Equestria from the viewpoint of another immigrant as well, since they had both been born in different countries and both had culture shocks upon arrival.
"Mind if I.... tag along?" she asked Zair.

Zair's face was of shock> "You...no from 'ere?" she tilted her head and squinted her eyes at Doctor Therapy. She had never known anywhere else than Saddle Arabia and until recently Equestria. It blew her mind. "If.." she shifted her hooves and looked down at them, the clinking of her chain making her shiver and lower her body slightly.
"If you no from...'ere..." she looked back to Doctor Therapy. "Then where?"
Her mind raced with thoughts, what else had they been hiding from here. What was this world? Why was it hidden from her. "YOu..mean t'ere is more? more t'an dis?"
The horse shook her head of the questions and bowed her head slightly. "my..apologies...but you said you 'ad somew'ere to stay?"

"No, I'm not from here." Livewire raised an eyebrow at Zair. Having been from Saddle Arabia, he would've figured that she would've at least heard of Zebrica. The hybrid was almost certain that she was a slave of some sort now. Stronghoof had told tales of his younger life, and how they'd been completely underground. That stallion hadn't even seen the light of day until he had been alive for two decades. It wasn't beyond belief that a Saddle Arabian would be as blind about the world as he'd first been, especially in a country that actually allowed slavery.
"Zebrica is a country far to the south of here, much like Saddle Arabia. We were directly to the south of you, if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure it's a simple mistake to make though. My apologies if I seemed insensitive." He'd have to play this encounter by ear. Having never come across a Saddle Arabian slave before, he didn't know exactly what they were capable of. "But yes, I do live over in Ponyville Manor. If you'd give me a few days, I'm sure I could secure you a place there as well."

Heart watched quietly as Zair talked with Livewire. It was going well, for now, but she didnt know what would happen. Livewire had seemed nice enough when they first met, but he was smarter than he looked, there was no doubt about that. Heart would have to warn Zair later about him... IF she chose to live with Livewire. If not, then Heart would have no need to do that.
Heart paced back and forth, watching...waiting to see what they would say. She knew if she said aything now it would have an affect on whatever Zair's descision was. In the end, however, Heart wanted no control over the outcome , it was not her descision... but Heart would support her with whatever she did.

Zair's mind was gone, she was filled with anger, confusion, sadness and more anger. She almost dropped to the floor but only stumbled.
"You..mean t'ere is moar?" she shook her head. "er..dat for later. If you could do t'at..." she looked down breathless at her hooves, overcome with happiness. She wiped a tear from her eye, sniffled and recomposed herself.
"I would be foreve' greatful..."

It seemed that Zair was going to go for his offer, if he could get her a place in Ponyville Manor. Truth be told, Seraph let just about anybody in, so he doubted whether there'd be any problems with a Saddle Arabian living there after a gryphon, and two more zebra-pony hybrids had just entered recently. He gave Zair and Heart a small nod. "Well, I'm sure that Heart there can find somewhere for the both of you to stay for a short bit. Come over to the Manor in three days time, and just ask for me again, if I'm in at the time. Or, if either of you want to come over before that time, just to visit shortly, that would be fine as well."
With a small bow, he turned away from the two, and started trotting back toward the Manor, his small collection of apples for Cross in his saddlebags. This could turn out to be an interesting encounter out, if anything came of it.

Heatr braced herself against Zair as she stumbled, helping her to keep her balance. She smiled, content that her friend was overcome with such happiness about the world. It was only then that she realized how little Zair must have seen to be this happy about the outside world. Heatr began to wonder if staying i one place was such a good idea for her, rather than traveling around and seeing the world for herself.
"Actually... I dont have a place of my own. Ive been living with a patient of mine nearby... something i do often." she said before pausing for a bit and thinking to herself. "This mansion place, you mentioned it once before. I can take Zair there if she wants."
Heart waved goodbye as Livewire walked away.

Bowed to the green Unicron and muttered "Thank you..soo much.." once she stood again she felt woosy and staggered a bit.
"woa...'eart sweetie...I need to rest..." Her energy was still sapped from her escape and know the knowledge of there was more than just her horrible homeland and this Equestria place just frustrated and confused her.

"Here... lets sit down for a bit." she told her friend. Heatr helped her saddlearabia friend to a nearby bench, supporting her as they walked towards it. She managed to get Zair on the bench comfortably before sitting down herself. Heart was genuinely concerned for her friend, as Zair seemed to be very shaken by the fact that there was more to the world than just her country and Equestria. Heart waited a moment before speaking once she sat down.
"Yes... Zair there is more to the world than just Equestria and Saddle Arabia." she told her friend. Heart paused for a bit before speaking again. "I may not be able to give you a place to stay Zair... I dont have a home."

"You ma-ay follow me if you like but...I need sume time alone..." A tear welled up in her eyes and rolled down her face as she remembered doing the same to her other child. She sputtered and ran off into the everfree forest.

Heart barely had any time to react as her friend ran off into the forest. All she could do was watch as Zair dissapeared past the treeline. She was just stuck there, slightly shocked that Zair has just run off without any warning.
"Zair wai-" were the only words she could yell before her friend dissapeared.
Slowly, Heart began to realize just what had happened. Her friend, shocked at the revalation of other countries out there, had run off. Hearts face slowly grew to an expression of anger. She had experienced this same feeling when she first entered the world outside her old home. She knew what it was like to experience a culture shock despite the fact that she had never entered nor left Equestrian soil. It was a terrifying experience for Heart at first, something she never wanted to happen to her newfound friend, Zair.
"Wait up!" she yelled into the forest and she jumped off the bench and ran after her.
