Once again, Princess Cadance found herself walking after sun-down, along with her husband Shining Armor and the two guards that had insisted to come along with them from the Crystal Kingdom: Blossom Gale, a humorless, to-the-point unicorn carrying a spear and her partner, a more easy-going, though tank-like unicorn sporting a sword and shield. So it was that the two guards escorted their prince and princess through the dark streets of Ponyville with only street lights to guide their way.
The streets, as was usual for later in the evening, were relatively empty. There were a few night owls still up and about--a few of which the entourage came across and the princess politely greeted, exchanging formalities and pleasantries briefly before continuing on--but it was an otherwise uneventful walk, thankfully like it had been when they had been in Canterlot. Other than conversing with Shining Armor, the only thing Cadance had to entertain herself, was her thoughts.
Which weren't entirely full of happy themselves. War was already engulfing the land, more and more every day. It was hard to tell how things would turn out in the end but just like everypony else in Equestria, it terrified Cadance--and, she could tell, Shining as well. At the thought of him she glanced over to her husband before stepping closer to him to soak in some of the warmth he emanated in the cold night's air. "I suppose in retrospect I should have packed us some kind of winter clothes," she said quietly, offering a little sigh at that.
"I hope we won't be waking Twilight, either," she continued, likely trying to break the lingering silence that followed them. Twilight was the entire reason they were there in Ponyville: with the war on its way, Shining and Cadance wanted to visit with Twilight in case of trouble. "I'd feel so awful if she lost sleep because of me. I know she'd say it was no big deal, but still..." Cadance sighed again at her words, shaking her head slowly as if to clear her mind.
"Well... Are you excited, my love?" Cadance asked, glancing over to Shining once more as she followed beside him. "It's been so long since we've seen her, I wonder how she's been, and how she's been coping with the war?" Cadance paused momentarily before letting out a quiet giggle. "And do you think she's found a coltfriend by now? Will you have to step in as her big brother and see if they deserve her, if she has~?"

No matter what Shining Armor had tried to reassure the Guards that they would be fine going on this leg of the journey by themselves, the two of them were going to see it through that the two of them made it to their final destination in Ponyville safely. Ponyville was a safe town nestled right next to Canterlot afterall far away from the direct confrontations with the war so far. This town would hardly be targeted over Canterlot in a military perspective. Shining armor was lost in his own thoughts when Cadance brought him out of his thoughts.
Shining Armor could not help but chuckled at his wife. Not once did he believe that was what she was concerned over, but bring up such a small detail such choice of attire she had decided to bring along. "We'll be warm enough once we get to Twily's" He gave her a quick nuzzle.
"I'm sure she'll be excited just as much as we are to see her." He reassured her over the concern about the time. "Besides, the meeting with Celestia just ran a bit later than expected. She of all ponies would understand the importance of talking with the Celestia in light of recent events." He grinned at his next thought. "She's probably got her nose stuck in some book still at this time of night. I can't wait to see her reaction when she opens the door!"
As far as Twlight's reaction the outbreak of Violence, Shining Armor really had no idea what she thought of the whole ordeal. Twilight and her friends have had their share of fights in the passed. Those threats were more direct and the enemies motives clear. The scale of those threats, while just as dangerous, were on a much small and more focused scale. They were still threats to Equestria. This time however, too many things were going on all once. It would take efforts from every pony to repel this threat.
"We'll just have to ask those questions when we get there. Speaking of that.." He pointed up at the library made out of a tree. "We're already here." He chuckled. Before they got to the door though Shining Armor had one more thing to add before knocking on the door. "Between you me, She's probably more interested in books than actively looking for a colt friend." He laughed. "Ready?" He looked at her before turning his attention to the door.
Shining Armor focused his magic on the door knocker raising it effortlessly. He applied 3 quick knocks on the door before letting the knocker come to a rest and waiting patiently for Twilight to come to the door. The two personal guards stood behind and waited patiently as well.

Twilight stood in front of a large chalkboard with a rather long and complicated looking equation scrawled across it in various colors of chalk. White for finalized pieces, yellow for experimental elements, green for stones and minerals, purple for power levels, and pink for a description of the spell. Each of the pieces of chalk was hovering in front of her, each one had been used until it looked like a small nub, too small for someone that actually has to grab objects to actually use effectively. She was so close to being finished with it, so close to getting to the point where she could test it, and yet there was just something missing. She had already created a working formula, found a gemstone that would work properly, and had written a very well thought out description for the whole thing.
"Than why do I feel like it just won't work," Twilight asked herself as she stared at the board, "Why does this seem like the whole thing is just going to blow up in my face? For Celestia's sake, why doesn't it just come to me like I know it should!" The purple unicorn threw the nubs of chalk onto the ground, watching as they hit the floor and turned into a fine powder.
Twilight took a few steps away from the board and took a deep breath, she wasn't going to get anywhere with the spell tonight, she was just too frustrated, "Method wrote about this in his book," she said as she walked towards her mirror that was placed on the far side of her room opposite of the chalkboard, "Something about how it always seems like every spell you make won't work. It seems that way for days even after everything is supposedly finalized. You'll just keep looking at books, boards, and references until you finally realize what its been missing this whole time, a revelation of sorts. Once that happens, then it'll be ready."
Twilight looked herself in the mirror, "Ugh," she said as she touched her chalk covered face, "I'm an absolute mess. Well, might as well shower before settling down with a nice book, maybe I'll re-read 'Fantastic Tales of Fire and Ice: A Puppet's Guide to Pulling the Strings' again. Though it's not really worth reading once you already know the twist at the end," she said with a sigh. One would think that after the third time reading a book that was completely based around a twist ending that she would actually stop enjoying it.
Regardless of what her reading material for the night was going to be, Twilight needed to first make sure she didn't go to bed as dirty as she was right now. It was bad enough getting chalk all over herself, she didn't need it on her sheets as well. She walked into the bathroom and adjusted the nobs until the water reached the desired temperature. Twilight then opened up the curtains and stepped inside letting the water flow over her pelt.
She had forgotten how nice it was to actually take a shower. Ever since she felt like she had reached the final stretch of making her spell, Twilight hadn't bathed, or eaten much, or really did much of anything besides sit in her room and write down gibberish on a chalkboard. She closed her eyes and she pushed her head under the flowing water, "Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing," she said as she grabbed some shampoo and started washing her mane, "Or maybe it's already perfect and I'm just being stupid and second guessing myself for no reason."
That's when she felt it, the revelation, the feeling that everything was going to work out. A huge smile spread across her face as she teleported herself out of the shower and over to the chalkboard, grabbing her last piece of white chalk with her magic. She crossed out all of the green chalk and wrote in big bold letters, "Topaz!!!!" The purple unicorn looked at the spell one more time before she felt tears of joy starting to flow down her face mixing in with the water that still remained from the shower, "Yes," she yelled as she started to bounce around the room, leaving small puddles wherever she landed, "yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes!"
She stopped bouncing around the room, a goofy smile still plastered on her face. Nothing could have made this night any better, or at least that's what Twilight thought. Suddenly, three knocks could be heard from the door downstairs. That was strange, Twilight almost never got visitors at this hour, especially not ones that were obviously uninvited. She teleported herself back to the bathroom and grabbed a towel to quickly dry herself off, wrapping her mane in a second towel before running downstairs, almost slipping on one of the puddles she had left on the floor before.
She stood in front of the door and opened it, "Welcome to the Ponyville Library, we're currently closed, but you're welcome to come back in the morn-" Twilight stopped her sentence short as she finally realized who her visitors were, "Shining Armor," she said as she wrapped one leg around her brother, "Princess Cadance," she said as she wrapped her other leg around her step-sister and childhood foalsitter, pulling them both into a tight embrace, "I wasn't expecting to see you tonight. Please come in, come in, I've been dying to see you two lately but I haven't found an opportunity to visit with all this craziness going on. I'm so glad you decided to visit!"

Cadance gave a slight nod of agreement when Shining mentioned asking her questions when they got to the Twilight's house... which they were already at. A certain feeling of excitement welled up inside of her, eliciting a nervous, almost squirming feeling in her stomach at the prospect of finally seeing Twilight again after so long. She was barely able to contain herself and her body quivered more and more the closer they got to the door of the tree. Right before knocking, Cadance looked over to Shining one last time then giggled at his words, the laugh a bright, mirth-filled one.
"I'm ready if you are, Love," she replied to him as she watched him knock on the door, leaning very gently against him as they now waited for their sister to answer the door. After but a moment, the familiar unicorn who they so loved opened the door and began talking in what was no doubt a rehearsed voice, not even seeming to notice who it was that had appeared on her doorstep. Smiling widely, Cadance just stared at Twilight until she finally seemed to catch on and addressed both of them, as well as greeted them both with a tight hug.
Giggling again, body still quivering, Cadance returned Twilight's embrace, hugging her sister with all of her being, at least until she had to pull away from the embrace to go inside. "I know exactly what you mean about the craziness, Twilight," Cadance replied with a quiet sigh as she stepped inside the cozy tree, their two guards in tow. "Shining and I have done so much running around and stressing over things, we've hardly had any time to relax. Oh, before I go and forget, these are our guards, Bastion and Blossom Gale." After motioning to each respective pony, Cadance turned her attention back to Twilight before a grin came to her face.
Crouching her body slightly, she took on the ready stance that Twilight would be so familiar with: the stance for the start of their special little dance. Once Twilight had taken the stance as well, Cadance began skipping in place, the action accompanied by a few simple words. "Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake!" she chanted happily, crouching down onto the ground with her hooves covering her eyes only to lift them up again in correlation with the second part of the phrase. She then pushed herself up into a sitting position and began bumping her hooves against Twilight's, continuing her chant. "Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" she finished, quickly standing up and shaking her flank for the finale.
With yet one more giggle she wrapped Twilight up in another hug, taking a few selfish moments for herself to share her love with her sister. When she pulled away from the hug, she gave a long wistful sigh before moving over to a nearby table and sitting there, smiling brightly over to Twilight and Shining. "I hope we didn't disturb anything by arriving unannounced like this. I just know how you would've made a bigger fuss out of all of this than you would've needed to, and with us being so... busy... we really didn't have the time to send a message anyway.."

Twilight had not taken too long to answer the door. She started off with a standard and almost practiced routine of hers about after hour library. Shining Armor could not help but smile. Twilight was still Twilight after all, not that he expected her to change that much. He would of been much more worried if she exhibited anything out of the ordinary. At least for the time being, Shining Armor was glad that his sister was still herself.
"It's good to see you two Twiley." Shining Armor returned the hug before Cadance spoke up. Shining Armor stood to the side when she had introduced their two guards, Bastion and Blossom Gale. The two of them nodded as their names were called. Shining Armor knew was going to happen next. It was a routine that Twilight and Cadance always performed when they met each other. Yea some things never change. Shining Armor elected to talk to the two guards as Twilight and Cadance got reacquainted in their own special way.
"I don't think I have to remind you two how importance my little sister is right." He faced both of them. "She helped, along with her friends, save the Crystal Kingdom." The two Guards nodded in understanding.
"We have not forgotten sir." Blossom Gale spoke up. She gave a quick salute.
Shining Armor smiled at the two of them. "Good.. but no need for formalities right now. We are in good hands right now. Relax alright?"
"Thank you Sir!" Bastion replied enthusiastically, earning a slight glare from Blossom. "What.. he said relax." He defended himself. Blossom rolled her eyes in response.
"Still need to be on guard you know." She retorted.
"I know that! But .." He leaned in too whisper to Blossom Gale. "We are in the presence of the Twilight Sparkle. Celestia's protege and the bearer of the Element of Magic. This is probably one of the safest places right now. I'm sure we should do as Shining Armor said and relax for the evening."
"I know who she is.. Bastion." She gave him a stern glare. "It could also mean a bigger target." She countered.
He gave a sigh in response before the two of them diverted their attention back to the three family members.
By now Cadance and Twilight had finished their normal routine. He diverted his attention back on to Twilight. "Yes. We are sorry for barging in at such a late hour." Shining Armor began explaining. "Our meeting with Celestia ran over a bit. We would of been here earlier in the day, but not everything always works out like we want them too." Shining Armor walked over beside Cadance as he talked.
"So Sis. How have you and your friends been?" He gave Twilight a quick glance over with his eyes. "You've certainly have grown some." Shining Armor patted her on the top of her head roughing up her mane some. "Turn a few eyes yet?" He asked while winking.

Twilight smiled as she did the same routine that had managed to stick with her for all these years, "Sunshine, Sunshine ladybugs awake, Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" She said, mirroring Cadance's motions, giggling as she finished up the routine. It had been quite awhile since the last time they had done that, quite a long time since the two of them had seen each other. It war really refreshing actually, pulling something out of her that she hadn't done in such a long time.
She then walked over to the same table that Cadance had found, taking a seat across from her and Shining Armor, "You guys didn't disturb anything," she said as she motioned to her room upstairs, "I just finished up a project that I've been working on for awhile. I've just got a couple more steps to go and it'll be ready to be revealed to the world," she said as a squee managed to escape her mouth, "I'm so excited for it and you guys are going to be so impressed with it once you see it."
Twilight took a deep breath to try and calm herself down, "As for my friends," She said as she placed her hoof on her chin in thought, "They've all been good from what I can tell. Despite everything that's been going on, everything has managed to remain surprisingly quiet around here. Hopefully it stays that way, I don't really expect that Ponyville will see much action in the War considering this place really couldn't be considered a military objective in any sense of the phrase."
"As for my relationship situation," she said as she looked over to Shining, "There isn't really anything going on at this point. I mean, there have been a couple of guys who have flirted with me when they came to visit, a couple mares too, but no one that I was really interested in. I mean, it would be nice to actually find someone to be with, but the right pony just hasn't shown up yet," She said with a shrug.
She then placed both her hooves on the table, "But that's enough about me. Tell me what's been going on with you guys we haven't gotten any news from the Crystal Kingdom in a long time."

As Shining moved to sit beside her, Cadance turned her smile over to her husband and allowed it to shine brightly to him for a moment or two before returning her attention to Twilight as Shining explained some things and asked some questions. Readjusting herself in her spot at the table, she quietly watched Twilight as she took her turn to respond to both of them.
Her gaze followed Twilight's hoof when she gestured upstairs, mentioning something about a project and almost having it finished. Idly, Cadance wondered just what that could be, but mostly drew blanks. Knowing Twilight however, it was probably something incredibly over-the-top and complicated... but no doubt would be spectacular in the end. She giggled at the squee that escaped Twilight after mentioning it, taking a guess just from that at how much Twilight was looking forward to it.
With her hooves folded in her lap, Cadance slowly leaned over to Shining so she could gently press her weight against him. After resting herself against him she refocused her attention on Twilight just after the mare calmed herself down and continued on about her friends. A light smile played on Cadance's face as she listened to that: she knew Twilight loved her friends as much as anypony could, and it was good to hear that they were still in good standing with each other--if, somehow, they could ever fall out of good standing with one another.
The smile on her face took on a slightly amused expression once Twilight began talking about how relationships had been going for her. She wasn't really surprised to hear that Twilight found no interest in any of the ponies who had flirted with her, mostly because she knew how caught up the mare could get in her own projects and barely notice the world around her. That didn't mean Cadance wasn't at least a little bit worried for her, though; she wasn't exactly getting younger...
"Well, we were... a little on the unprepared side for this whole thing," Cadance said quietly, almost as if a little ashamed for her lack of foresight. "We've been trying to mass up some troops to give Equestria some aid, but not only will it take some time to get them deployed and over here... our military lacks so much experience. Shining knows more about that than I do, though; I've mostly been taking care of making sure everything else in the kingdom is running while he prepares that side of things. It's been... stressful, and I have no idea how Celestia and Luna are handling it."
She paused for a moment like she thought about saying something else, but released a sigh instead, shaking her head as she moved on to a different topic. "I think you should start looking around to see who you can find, Twilight. I'm not saying you should rush anything, but... a little initiative's never a bad thing. And with Spike not being here anymore... I can only imagine how lonely this place gets."
Cadance watched Twilight for a moment longer after that, offering a sympathetic look before turning her gaze over to her bedroom and where she had gestured to her project earlier. "So what are you willing to tell us about this thing you're working on that's got you so excited? Or is it going to be one of those things where I just have to 'wait and see for myself'?"

Twilight was no doubt working on some experiment that she wanted to see to its completion. Her excitement of just mentioning it in her own statement was enough proof of that. Her strides in magic had long surpassed his own. Guess that was a side benefit of her being so focused in studying magic as well as being the embodiment of the element itself. He was and still is impressed with her progress in her studies to this day.
"Yes the events that have taken place has caught all of off guard." Shining Armor begrudgingly agreed. "But I think Cadance here has done a remarkable job running the Crystal Kingdom. She just being to modest." He looked at her then back to Twilight. "The Kingdom has prospered well under her careful guidance." Shining Armor was proud of the success the Crystal Kingdom was having prior to the war breaking out. "It can be ruff at times but she had managed quite well. The economy, citizens and even tourism have had steady growth over the years. That's partially thanks to you and your friend little sis."
"Your help and getting the Equestria Games to be hosted in the Crystal Kingdom all those years back really could be traced back as to the start of the growth for the Kingdom." Shining Armor grinned. "That was a great opportunity that Cadance really capitalized on." He gave a quick nuzzle to Cadance. She really was too hard on herself in down playing her own success. "But yes it has been a few stressful parts over the years."
Shining Armor leaned forward against the table. "The first few years especially were rather difficult as far as building the Crystal Kingdoms military units." He thought back to those years. "Despite the success that games had brought to the Kingdom, the citizens that resided in it were still weary of way King Sombra had ruled over them. Needless to say.. getting volunteers to help build up the military units were a slow task indeed. "They wanted to avoid any conflict really and thought the idea was not needed."
"Slowly though the numbers have increased as the notion of them wanting to protect what they have worked hard to build up has finally begun to take hold in the Crystal Ponies." While still smaller by quite a number compared to the Canterlot military forces. The Crystal Kingdom's military force has become respectable in terms of numbers. "The number of members has really increased just this passed years as well. I tell ya training these non combat oriented ponies has been something of a challenge."
"We are definitely making progress in that regard, still the actual combat experience is minimum at best for even the highest ranking members of the Crystal Kingdom forces. They are eager to protect the Kingdom in any regard." Shining Armor was proud of that fact and it showed.
"But enough about that. Have you heard from Spike?" Shining Armor was curious as to how the fellow was doing. Him and Twilight were nearly always together the last time they had seen each other. "Is he doing alright?" He was not going to pester Twilight anymore as far as relationship goes. He was sure she would find some in her own time. But Cadance was right in the regard that Twilight was indeed not getting any younger.

Twilight listened to both Cadance and Shining Armor explain their current responsibilities, "Jeez," she said as she thought about everything that she was dealing and how small it seemed when she heard about jut how much work went in to running a kingdom, "I never realized how much you guys must have to go through on a daily basis. I'm surprised you two haven't gone completely crazy yet, but I suppose you guys must just take turns keeping each other sane. Guess that's one of the benefits of having someone that you really love by your side."
She looked down towards the floor for a moment, Cadance's statement had kind of hit home once Twilight said those words. Maybe it was about time that she stepped back from her studies and try to actually find someone worth spending the rest of her life with, someone to keep her sane while she worked, someone who wouldn't let her cry herself to sleep when something just didn't work out. She was still young though, 25 wasn't that old after all.
"Maybe I'll start looking for someone, or at least give some of those ponies who seemed interested before a chance," Twilight said with a smile, "It's gonna be weird though, I just know it. I mean, I'm 25 years old and I haven't even been on one date. I'm sure anyone who is actually interested in me would think that I'm at least a little bit experienced in the matters of being in a relationship, but reading a book can only really teach you so much, eh?"
She looked over to Shining Armor, "As for Spike," she said as her gaze drifted back to the floor, "I haven't really heard from him since the War started. He sent me one letter once he heard about the attack on Hoofington, said he would try to convince some Dragons to try and help, but it doesn't seem like we'll be seeing any fire raining from the skies anytime soon. He hasn't even been able to send me any updates on his personal life lately. Last I heard from him he was making a bunch of new friends on top of this group that he had managed to get together when he first arrived. A lot of the older dragons like him because he has a special perspective of what it's like to be around ponies and they like to learn from him. He's doing good, but I still miss hearing from him everyday and having him around the house."
That's when Twilight had decided that it was time to answer Cadance's question, "Well," she said as she looked up towards her room, "I've only told a couple of ponies what I've been working on so far, but you'll be the first one's that I've told now that it's ready to go into its next phase," She took a deep breath as she looked back to her brother and sister, "I've created a new spell! It's going to be amazing, a spell that can be stored in a Topaz gemstone that, when released, gives the user an extreme boost in their magical potential. It's something I made that I'm hoping will allow some of the less powerful unicorns, and even some of the extremely powerful ones, to gain a bit of an edge when fighting in the war. I've still got to do some experiments to make sure it's safe to use, but I'm confident that it's going to be a huge success!"

Cadance gave a slight nod of relief at Twilight's acknowledgement of being willing to give looking for somepony a shot. Even if things wouldn't immediately work out for her, Cadance was at least happy to know she would be trying, which is all she could ever ask of her sister. Maybe if Twilight could have just a little taste of what it was like, it could make her want it more until she did finally find that right pony.
She turned her attention over to Shining after that, nodding slightly in shared curiosity at his question of how Spike was doing. She hadn't heard anything about the little guy in so long, she could only hope he was doing well for himself out in the big world of dragons. What Twilight told them was full of mixed emotions: she sounded pleased over the life Spike had made for himself, but at the same time disappointed over how he'd only been able to send her one letter. She could sympathize with Twilight: she'd barely received any kinds of updates herself over how a lot of her acquaintances had been doing over the years. But then what else was somepony now carrying the moniker of Princess of the Crystal Kingdom supposed to expect?
Twilight then began to answer Cadance's question about the project she'd been working on, and Cadance readjusted herself in her spot against Shining so she could give Twilight more of her attention. When Twilight did finally say what it was, both of Cadance's brows shot up, immediately thinking of the many uses and benefits such a spell could provide. For one, a barrier made by Shining could be made much larger for less exertion, or much more powerful if buffed by this gemstone--possibly even more-so if aided by Cadance's magic. Her thoughts then went into what Shining and Cadance could do together with the power of love, if it was amplified by Twilight's spell.
"Twilight, that's... amazing. You'd be able to accomplish so many things if this mana gem of yours really works--and knowing how gifted you are, I don't have any doubts it will. How do you plan on testing it, anyway? And, if it does work... how do you plan on using it? Have you even decided what you're going to name it?"

"That goes with out saying Twilight." Shining Armor added in reference to keeping each others wits while running the Crystal Kingdom. "Besides confiding in each other. Watching the happy citizens enjoy their every day life helped us as well." He wrapped a leg around Cadance drawing her to him. "That's why we don't want our efforts to be all for not because of this tragedy that has happened."
Shining Armor was impressed with Twilight's efforts to contribute in Equestrian's aid. Her method of choice was no doubt remarkable and so like her. "That IS amazing Twilight!" He stated excited at the prospects. Such a creation would surely boost Equestria's efforts to fend off the three front war invasion. Sure there would need to be some thorough testing in regards to the safety of her creation.
The military applications of such Twilight's creation were pretty much untold for the magical divisions. Cadance had already asked the questions though that were immediately on Shining Armor's mind. "Once your confident enough you should definitely send word to Celestia and Luna. They would definitely appreciate your efforts. I'm sure it will be as amazing as it sounds."
Shining Armor was sure someone would of attempted this kind of research before, but no one quite as talented as Twilight is in Magic before hand. She would succeed where others had failed. He was completely confident that she would be able to pull of such a task.

Twilight beamed when her siblings started praising her work even before they had seen it in action. She was so happy that she was going to be able to actually contribute to the war effort, and even happier that she had managed to impress Cadance and Shining armor in the process. They were both such a big part of her life and she was so glad that she could do something that would make them both proud of her. Well, something besides helping to save the kingdom from a changeling queen, and Nightmare Moon, and Discord, and countless other things. It was nice that she was getting recognized for something she really put her heart and soul into, something that she could call her masterpiece.
"Well," Twilight said, a huge smile still stretched across her face, "I'm going to need to actually build a couple of things before I can start testing this spell. I'm gonna need to create a Null-Magic Generator, pretty much a machine that shuts down any magic in a small radius, so that I can stop the spell midway if something goes wrong. On top of that I'm going to need to build a big glass structure to hold the Null-Magic Generator and to act as my testing area. On top of that I'm probably going to need at least a couple of volunteers to help test it. I mean, I can always test it myself, but I'm also really good at magic so I'd need to make sure that someone with a bit less experience than me could still do it."
"As for a name," Twilight said as she tapped her hoof against her chin, "I haven't really thought of one. I've just been so busy doing everything else for the spell, writing and rewriting formulas, breaking down each individual component piece by piece just to ensure that everything was perfect. Learning about the magic potential of different gemstones to try and figure out which one would be ideal to hold the spell. It's been so much work, but it'll all be worth it if this thing actually works."
Twilight then gestured to her brother and sister sitting across from her, "What about you guys," she said, "Got any ideas for a name for this bad boy?"

Cadance gave a single nod of agreement to what Shining said about sending word of this spell to Celestia and Luna after making sure it worked. She had no doubt that they'd want to know about the spell and immediately start thinking on ways to use the spell to win the war. That was still a ways away, though; Twilight did, after all, still have a lot of preparation to go through before she could say it was all finally ready.
Twilight began listing through those things, and Cadance continued to give her full attention to the mare as she leaned against Shining. It was impressive to just how much thought Twilight put into all of this, trying to acount for every little detail in her plans, or even fail-safes for any little details she happened to overlook. What was even more impressive, was how it all seemed to come naturally to her. Despite being an alicorn, Cadance was sure she would have so much more trouble trying to understand even the littlest of concepts in regards to Twilight's spell--yet she could talk about the most advanced of ideas like it was foal's play. Although she did represent the element of Magic, that didn't not make the whole thing mind-blowing.
She then asked Shining and Cadance if either of them had any ideas for the name fo the spell and Cadance stared down at the table for a moment in thought before shrugging slightly with the hint of a smirk. "Well, there's always Twilight's Sparkle," she teased, unable to keep a bit of a giggle from escaping her. "That's about the best I can come up with, I'm afraid. I'm starting to get a little too tired to come up with anything good as far as names go, especially for something as complicated as this." She then turned her gaze up, looking to the stallion whose shoulder she was using as a pillow, waiting to see if he had any ideas himself, or if he had anything else to add to the conversation.

Twilight's niche for organization had not faded in the slightest. In fact it probably had probably increased some if anything. There did not seem to be a single precautionary step or detail left out of her project. "Well Twiley, you've certainly done your home work." Shining Armor was in awe of the amount of work and and dedication she had put into it so far. She was trying to help in her own way. It would be a big help too when she completed her work on it.
An idea for a name for this? Shining Armor was not in the business of naming new spells or creations. No his focused was more toward the military planning and tactics when he went through Military Academy. "I think that will be best left up to you. It is your master piece after all. You have the best understanding of what it is capable of." He could not contain his chuckled at the suggestion that Cadance had put out in jest. "I don't see Twilight as a pony who would self glorify her self through naming the spell after her self."
His ears perked up at Cadance mentioning that she was tired. There had been quite a few meetings over the passed few days and that would take a toll on any pony. He looked at her with an understanding look. "Maybe if we sleep on this we can come up with an idea in the morning?" Shining Armor suggested. "Though I still think it should be you that comes up with the name." He rubbed his head in thought.

Twilight giggled at Cadance's suggestion, "Well I'm going to have to agree with my brother on this one," she said as she looked over at Shining Armor, "I may be proud of my work, but my ego isn't quite big enough to start naming spells after myself. I'll come up with something eventually I mean I have plenty of time to come up with a catchy name while I'm doing all of the testing an retesting and re-retesting."
She really didn't need to think of a name until much later in the process. As long as she had something to call it before it got published then she would be just fine. She just didn't want to be one of those weird ponies that just calls their spell a random combination of numbers and letters that just makes anyone who's trying to learn it more confused than necessary. She was still a little angry at The Wearer of Many Hats for that spell that had ended up just being a spell that could be used to sort fruits. Sure it was useful, but with a name like A2020-B17-C410 one would think that it would do something a little bit more impressive.
Twilight yawned then, "I'm getting pretty tired myself," she said as she stretched her legs and back, "I think I'm gonna head off to bed soon. You guys are welcome to stay in the guest room," she said. The guest room was made a couple of years ago back when Spike was still around. He had grown too large to stay in her room with her so she turned one of the storage rooms into a bedroom for him. He had only stayed in it for about six months before they decided that it would be best if he went off on his own for awhile, "Though I don't know if I'll be able to find a bed for your guards."
