Here it was... what a curious little town. Ponyville. Certainly different from his hometown of Canterlot. The dark blue unicorn began making his way into a more central area of town, searching for a good place to re-size his caravan. Perhaps some folks here in this town would be more receptive to having their fortunes told with his cards... or maybe even one would desire some advice. Anything really.
He pulled a small object out of his saddlebag, before setting it down in an open area, his horn beginning to glow as he focused; his caravan began to grow to its normal size, the unicorn sweating slightly from the strain. At least the weather was somewhat nice...

Livewire walked through Ponyville's Town Square in his Doctor Therapy disguise. He went out in it enough to where ponies were actually starting to recognize him, a fact that made him a bit uncomfortable. It wasn't the fact that he didn't want to be seen, at this point. It was the fact that people were starting to associate the name 'Doctor Therapy', with this actual figure. He'd hoped to keep the name and face separated to the general public, but that didn't seem possible anymore at this point.
As he prepared to buy a few bottles of gin to replenish his addiction, he spotted something mildly more interesting than meeting Tsikor again. A wagon, increasing in size for apparently no reason. No...no, there was a unicorn doing it. Livewire approached the unicorn in question, still cloaked in his disguise. "Good day there, friend. Haven't seen you around town before. Are you new here?"

"Hm?" The unicorn's low tenor voice sounded as he turned towards the hybrid, finishing his spell; his caravan was now at full size. "I am, as a matter of fact. It is a pleasure to meet someone from around here." His expression remained at a neutral as he looked over the one speaking to him. "My name is Scryer. And who might you be?"
He hoped that this town would be a bit more perceptive-slash-accepting of his craft. Ponies in big cities tended to not be as open to the idea of divination of any sort...

Livewire gave a small bow to the unicorn. Name Scryer, wagon behind him, new to town; This pony was likely versed in some sort of crowd-pleasing magic, probably one of the psychic and metaphysical nature. That worked out fine for him. Such things were nothing new to the hybrid. "I'm Doctor Therapy, local medical practitioner. Pleased to make your acquaintance, Scryer."
The doctor took another look at the wagon the unicorn had just enlarged. What a very curious spell. He wasn't familiar with any kind of spell that could shrink an object as large as a wagon down to a size small enough to carry in a saddlebag. That kind of thing had plenty of potential to be useful. "So, what brings you here to Ponyville?"

Scryer nodded slightly at the hybrid's introduction, mentally noting that. "A pleasure to meet you, doctor. To answer your question... I am a wanderer of sorts. I travel from town to town, offering my craft to others. I am a fortuneteller of sorts."
The blue unicorn took a step back. "I typically do so inside my caravan, in the 'Velvet Room' within. I'd be happy to give you a reading if you are interested."

Ah, his assumption was correct. This Scryer was very much...a scryer. Equestrian names were so bluntly straightforward sometimes. It couldn't hurt to have his fortune told though. If nothing else, it would make for an entertaining little distraction, and it would give him a chance to see if this pony lived up to his name at all.
"Well, if you'd be willing to do so, I'd be happy to accept." Livewire gave the unicorn and small nod, and entered into the 'Velvet Room', as he called it, awaiting Scryer to follow. It wasn't as though he was about to try anything funny in the middle of Town Square.

Scryer smiled and nodded. He followed the doctor inside the caravan, to the room. Inside, the room lived up to its name; the ceiling, the comfortable chair on one side of a table, the couch on the other side and the pillows on it, the floor and walls... everything was a soft blue velvet. Behind the table was a door; it lead to Scryer's room in the caravan. Scryer sat down on the couch, pulling out a deck of cards from his saddlebag. "Can I offer you a cup of tea, Doctor?" He began shuffling the deck of cards, his magic aura starting to softly glow on both his horn and the cards.

This...was easily the most velvety room that Livewire had ever been in. Everything looked so soft, and expensive. He'd been living for a Manor for the last six years, and still this small caravan managed to absolutely blow his mind. The Manor was luxurious, certainly, but this...this was just soft behind reason. He took a few hesitant steps forward, unsure if he was walking into a demulcent death. With a shaky hoof, he took a seat on the nearby chair, attempting to not slip out of it.
"Y-yes, tea would be lovely. Quite the place you have in here, Sir Scryer." He continued to gaze around, wondering what color this place was.

The fact that the green unicorn seemed to be rather shaky as he was walking did not escape the fortuneteller's notice. "I will get some, then; are you quite alright, Doctor?" Scryer got up, heading into his room in the back of the caravan to get the teapot heating and brew a few cups. After a little while, he returned with two cups of a light-smelling tea. "Here you are, Doctor. A cup of white tea; Silver Needle, I believe it is called. I apologize but that is the only kind of tea I have at the moment; it's a blend that helps relax and open the mind up. Much like the color of the room, this is designed to help keep my 'customers' relaxed and clear-headed. Blue is a natural relaxant, after all."
The purple-maned unicorn smiled slightly, shuffling his tarot deck again. "I do not charge the first one I encounter in a new town on principle of simply trying to get publicity. I wish to learn a bit more about you before I try to read your future, so..." His horn lit up with a bright flash as the cards rapidly shuffled, before stopping on the table. Scryer flipped over the first card, which had an image of a single wand. "The Ace of Wands. It seems to me that in your past, you felt a great stirring for something new. Perhaps a career or something of the like." He drew another card and set it down next to the first; this one had a pony looking down at three spilled cups of wine with two more cups still standing off to the side. "...Hm, the Five of Cups. Something happened in the past... and it caused an obsession over something that was lost. Curious..." The unicorn flipped over another card, and he took a slight inhalation of breath. This one depicted a dark-looking pony with wings and horns, along with a male and female pony bound in chains. "...The Devil. You faced a great temptation..." He flipped over one more. This one showed a tower being struck by lightning and ponies falling from it. "...The Tower. This often follows The Devil and represents misfortune, a tearing down of false ideals that often leads to being able to rebuild one's self from the ground up."
At this point, the unicorn shuffled the cards back into the deck. "You have a very curious past. I will not press any further, however. What do you desire? I would be happy to ask the cards for advice for you if you so wish."

Livewire thanked the unicorn for the cup of tea, and drank from it. It really was rather good; Smooth, light taste to it. He attempted to calm himself a bit from the entire appearance of the area, and was more than just a bit happy when Scryer informed him that it was all blue. As his sight already bathed everything in blue, that meant that little had changed, and he immediately felt more comfortable, allowing his mind to calm itself. Patience. He just had to have a bit of patience, and this encounter would likely turn out interesting.
It seemed that he wouldn't be charged for the first encounter, because Scryer wanted to get his name out there a bit through word of mouth first. That was fair enough. He leaned forward in his chair a bit, trying not to fall. The first card, the Ace of Wands, was fairly spot on, but generic all the same. There were plenty of ponies and Zebras who felt a need for something new, like a career, or life path. Livewire continued to watch as the next card, the Five of Cups was flipped. Once again, it could be applied to many things, but...his entire loss of his brother's love had crippled him emotionally for quite some time, back when they were foals. He still wasn't sure if he'd fully recovered from the event, and shuddered a bit. The third card, The Devil, spoke for itself. If this Scryer was truly any good at his job, then that card pointed to his meeting of Selecian after his defeat at the hooves of Shining Glaive, selling his freedom for another chance at life. He'd given into temptation, truly...The final card, The Tower, stayed equally true to his path, outlining fairly well how he'd felt in the last few months. Everything he'd worked for over his life; all the lives he'd taken...were they wasted? Had he chosen to not come back to live at Selecian's power, none of what they'd been killed for would have ever been put to effective use, with all the lives he'd been saving recently.
The hybrid started to fidget around in his seat uncomfortably again, seriously starting to doubt a few of the choices he'd made in life. "My past is...certainly not the brightest, honestly. I cannot always be sure that the choices I've made have been wise ones, but I must remain strong, for the future. There's ponies that are counting on me to help them." He attempted to calm himself again. Falling apart mentally here wouldn't do him any good. "So, that was a fairly accurate reading of my past. Tell me then, Scryer, what does the future hold for Doctor Therapy?"

Scryer closed his eyes, his magic flaring up again as the card reshuffled and reformed the deck. He spread them all out in a large circle before putting the cards back together and reshuffling them yet again. Before long, the deck was down again. "...The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed..." He drew a card. It showed pegasi playing trumpets... while spirits flew upward from graves. "...Judgement. Second-to-last in the Major Arcana; this card represents a form of resurrection and renewal; healing. Being able to put the past behind you, and using your past experiences to better shape your future." He did not stop, flipping another card; this one of a mystical-looking pony pouring two cups into each other. "Temperance. This is a good sign, really. This represents tempering one's spirit, transforming oneself. Both these cards can only really mean one thing. Change is near in your future; it will not be easy and you will have to make choices."
He drew another card. This one had a mare kneeling by water with seven stars overhead. "...But do not falter. The Star represents hope and possibility. What of...?" He drew three more cards. One had a pony sitting with nine cups of wine set out. Another showed a stallion clad in royal garb, a cup in his hoof. The last one... Scryer inhaled slightly when he saw it. A very androgynous pony surrounded by a completely circular wreath. "...You are indeed blessed, dear Doctor. The Nine of Cups represents the fulfillment of wishes. Emotional fulfillment, to be specific. The King of Cups represents... family. Whether it means starting one or repairing bonds... I cannot say for certain. All I do know is that family is deeply involved. The last... is The World. The final card of the Major Arcana and the strongest of all the cards, save for The Fool if it comes after. This card represents... endings yet also beginnings. Completions. A sense of 'wholeness'. Balance between Head, Hoof, and Heart... Mind, Body, and Soul. Everything being as it should be. You are blessed indeed." Scryer exhaled slightly, reshuffling the cards.
"...Doctor, is there anything else you wish to ask of the cards?" The unicorn looked over the green pony's face slightly, trying to gauge his reaction to the reading.

Livewire continued to watch in awe, taking Scryer's words and readings with as much trust as he could, as he couldn't actually see what the cards were. The first card to be turned up was Judgement, something he often feared from the law that was no doubt constantly always after him. Maybe that was just paranoia though. It wasn't like they'd raided the Manor yet. This Judgement though...it came with a message of hope. Renewal...healing...freedom from the past that he always tried to escape, so that he could start again fresh, without worries. He would very well put all his medical expertise to good use if such a thing was allowed, as the cards had said.
Temperance came next, and was a concept not at all lost on him. Sobrieda was the God of Temperance in his teachings, and although Patience was more his forte, he still respected the concept. The concept of change though...as the cards said, it wouldn't be easy. There were many that wanted his head outside of the law. Assassins and trash, to number a small portion of them. They would never let him live down what he'd done, and he'd long come to accept that. They'd just have to die as well, if such a rebirth of spirit was to happen.
The Star was there to give him hope, but such a thing wasn't needed. He had plans that were years in the making. A bit of hope wouldn't help that in the slightest; Only perfect calculations. Scryer drew three more, starting out with The Nine of Cups, followed by The King of Cups. An...emotional fulfillment, regarding family. Could it be his brother, finally coming to accept his apology? No...no, that was impossible. Unless...his plans were to come to fruition, without the slightest fault. There was no room for error in his project, and he'd taken all the precautions he could.
The final card was explained as well. The World; A powerful one by the sounds of things. It represented a close in things. An end, finishing off everything from where he'd begun. A chance to bring things....full circle. Livewire's breathing had become increasingly heavier as the readings were going on, and once the finally card was out of the way, and he came to the realization of what it likely meant, his breath caught in his throat for a moment. Dare he dream of the day that his life's work would finally come to pass, and fulfill his destiny?
His forelegs and hooves had begun to shake as he looked back up from the unreadable cards, to Scryer, a look of utmost confusion on his face. He hadn't fully believed in this kind of tarot reading when he first entered the room, but it had gotten him completely enraptured, breaking past his usual outer shell of distancing himself from ponies. "I...I do wish to know one more thing. These cards...I've spent the recent years of my life hiding who I truly am from the world. I...thought my disguises and lies were perfect. Tell me. How do you know so much about me, when no one else does?"

The unicorn took a few breaths, before looking over at the doctor, a soft smile on his face. "...I don't. All that I have told you... comes directly from the cards. They are the ones that know. All I do is give some magic to the cards and shuffle them. I don't know what they will tell. All I do is read what they give me and interpret them to those who ask them. These cards... they read one's soul, in a sense, along with energy from the world around us, brought to the fore by my magic energy." He brought over the teapot from his room and refilled Therapy's cup. "You seem... rather shaken up. I am going to assume that this is your first time experiencing something like this... It is quite alright, though. I must admit that this is one of the most powerful and in-depth readings I have done in quite some time. You are an interesting one indeed, Doctor. Thank you for being willing to take a chance on the cards' words. Things might not come to pass exactly as the cards tell, but I do feel I should mention..." He gave a soft chuckle. "I do not really enjoy bragging, but previous querents of mine have sought me out; while their readings did not always happen exactly as the cards told at their most basic meaning, a good majority of them have been accurate. If you ever find yourself in need of guidance of some sort, feel free to seek me out, Doctor."
The blue unicorn bowed his head slightly to the disguised hybrid. "I must admit that this reading I found particularly enjoyable. More so than usual."

Livewire lowered his muzzle into the newly refilled cup of tea and drank from it again, thinking on Scryer's words. The cards may have called his past with near perfection, but they couldn't do so for the future, despite his belief's in destiny. Such simple little cards couldn't possibly predict the future so well after just meeting a pony, or in his case, a hybrid, for the first time. There had to be some kind of trick to it all. Scryer was a showpony, as his delightfully silky wagon pointed to. His options now were to regard the unicorn's words, and attempt to work toward them, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy, or ignore them, and try to go against the tides of fate.
"Only time will tell if your readings today were completely accurate for events that haven't yet occurred, Scryer. I have very little surviving family, and next to no interest in starting a family of my own. If your readings do happen to come true in some way, you can be guaranteed that I'll seek you out again." Livewire sipped from his cup again. "Of course, if you're not busy right now, I think I'd like to learn a bit more about you. Thanks to your reading, you clearly know plenty about me."

The blue unicorn chuckled softly at the doctor's comment. "I would be happy to tell you a bit about myself, Doctor; though I really don't know that much about you. The cards just spoke of events in your past; not much about you and who you are. Either way, what do you wish to know about me?" He gave the doctor a soft warm smile.
