It was yet another afternoon, late in the chilling season of winter within Canterlot; the streets were mostly cleared of snow, except for some whiteness here and there, as the city was in the middle of a cold snap with a sun as bright as ever. Around this time not much is going on with construction in the shipyards, and it seemed like time is moving slower with each day that passes.

Just like the previous year, right after the war, Commander Azure Flow was mostly stuck now indoors working on paperwork and in the R&D division of the Equestrian Royal Navy. He didn't mind the paperwork really as most days he's in the labs theory-crafting new ships, and of how to refine the navy. With the small aide of some old, abandoned Diamond Dog battleships; Azure is towards finishing a possible prototype of combining their technology with ours.

Working nonetheless into the late afternoon in his usual booth within his usual restaurant; papers scattered on the table with a cup of warm tea off to the side, and his Commander's ranked cover on the back of the table. Azure diligently works in his well-groomed dress uniform; as his horn glows with focus on a glowing, blue quill. The restaurant today has been fairly quiet and slow, while the crew knew not to disturb the Commander much during his work, to of course wanting to continue his service for them.

Azure looked up after several uncounted hours of working to discover the sun was already hanging low in the sky; he watches the scene of the outside for a few minutes as a rolling wind danced with the naked trees. Off to more his center was just a reflection of him within his uniform, and with quick glow of his horn he straightened up his necktie. There were still a few ponies out walking the streets of Canterlot, and from the look of the position of the sun it was time for most to either return home or to some restaurant for dinner. He looked up even more to see the vast horizon of brightness, and a blue flowing ground reflecting the deep rays of the sun.

The horn glowed again as he went for his tea; moving the last orb of tea into his mouth before the cup emptied itself. Just then one of the waiters came up to Azure and took his glass to refill before asking, "Shall I get you your usual meal, Commander?" Azure looked at the pony before nodding away at the request, and watches as the colt trots off to put in the order and bring back his tea. In the meantime, Azure returns to his work with the quill still in midair within a glow.

Silver stepped off the train and immediately went to the cargo cars to retrieve her items. It was a simple delivery, a crate filled with specially forged metal to deliver somewhere in Canterlot. The exact area was unknown, but Silver figured that she would find it eventually. After all, she had two days before she actually had to deliver the cargo.

The businesspony decided to drop the cargo off at a friend's house and spend the day in the city. After all, it was Canterlot, capital of Equestria. She always enjoyed this city whenever she got the chance to come here, which wasn't often. After all, being a non-native Eqiestrian let her appreciate the architecture and the skill that went into the buildings.

It was roughly afternoon when Silver decided to take a break from exploring the city and decided to grab a bite to eat somewhere. She had a decent amount of bits on hoof, so Silver decided to sit down at a restaurant. As usual, her large hammer sat comfortably on her belt as she orsered something to eat.

Off in distance within the restaurant was a roaring fire taking place in their fireplace; one of the servers throwing in some new, fresh wood to liven up the warmth of the place. The flames were both warm and glowing to see within the marble-crafted fireplace, while a couple of colts were just seating themselves on some of the lounge couches nearby. Azure checked his pocket watch to see that it was about that time for the dinner rush, which was perfect timing just as his order was taken. He continued to gaze off around both floors of the place; observing any new denizens that entered the restaurant, as well as, watching the servers start to pick up in staff.

With a light glow of his horn, Azure rolled up his paperwork and stowed it within his briefcase. Looking outwards to the chilling sky as the sun started to be dimmed out be incoming cloud coverage. Just another winter evening just about dusk, and of how these days are far too short and fast, however, he doesn't think of it all too bad as it will give him the chance to once more open up the shipyards. He looked past a couple blocks to look off at the roofs of the shipyard warehouses, and slightly missing the joy and feel of a voyage through the calming sea-salt air with the soothing coursing waves of the sea.

His horn was still flaring up with his aura as he picks up the tea cup before remembering that he already had the last of it. After checking the pocket watch once more, Azure figures that it was late enough to enjoy himself with purchase the wine of the day; pushing himself out of the both he started to trot on down to the bar on the first floor. With kindness he nodded at the other customers; to both new and regulars that he has seen every now and then. Once at the bar, he nodded to the mare that was bartender for tonight with a smile to reply to the nod.

"What may I get for ya Commander?" she asked with a slight southern accent. "I'll take a bottle and glass of your wine of the day," Azure requested with suaveness. "Ah, for tonight we have our: Les fruits et noix de coco. I'll just add this here to your tab, Commander." The mare answered with delight as she pulls out a finely-crafted wine glass and a brown-tinted bottle of wine. With a bit of a struggle she begins to try and uncork the bottle.

'Well that was kind of him.' Silver thought to herself as an official looking pony walked by her. Kind gestures were not something she tended to overlook, especially by strangers. Such was the old customs of her village. She thought of a subtle, yet noticeable way to get back at him, and decided to fold her napkin into an origami ship, after she heard somepony mention he was a 'commander' of sorts.

'Military . . . and he drinks!' she suddenly began noticing, as he ordered a glass of wine. Silver paused as she was about to get up, sat back down, and instead fumbled around with her origami ship as opposed to just giving it to the other pony. 'If he had been anything else!' she thought to herself. '. . . I could be sitting next to him and we'd be enjoying water and good company. But NOOooooooo he had to be military. Agh!' Silver let out a groan and ordered a second hay sandwhich.
