The fiery unicorn trotted towards a new town. Ponyville. She crested the hill and took a look at the new town. Nothing special. Seemed like a boring small town with a magnificent view of Canterlot.

"Just as beautiful as I remember." Xeneth said in awe. She trotted into town and found a nice cafe and ordered a hot chocolate. She observed the ponies passing by most seemed normal and unthreatening. At this she relaxed a bit, letting her mane down, still in strips over her horn and face.

She waited for anything exciting to happen. Maybe a fight. That would be fun

Glaive walked home, tired and sore but happy. His latest mission had been successful, and Jade would no doubt be as happy to see him as he was to see her. Wisps of smoke still rose from his coat in places, and the bandage around his forehead was still slightly pink, but he seemed not to mind his injuries as he walked down the street, singing an offkey song.

He bumped into something. That was very unusual for him, seeing as he normally was one of the most agile ponies around, as well as being very in-tune with his surroundings, but he was, as stated, tired, sore and distracted. Cut him some slack.

He blinked and looked down at the mare he had walked into. Shaking his head, he said, "Pardon me, miss."

Xeneth felt another pony bump into her. This tweaked her anger. "Nopony bumps into me!" The fiery unicorn said. She turned around, dropping her hot chocolate on the ground.

She laid her eyes upon a brown pegasus with singe marks on his coats and a bandage on his head. "Heh! An injured mule like you would be an easy fight to win." She said arrogantly. "So what do you say pony? mano-e-mano? Unless your chicken"

Glaive blinked down at the fiery unicorn. Literally, by both personality and by appearance. And, considering how suspiciously appropriate the personality and appearance of ponies tends to be for their abilities, her power probably had something to do with fire as well. He sighed

"I'm a pegasus, not a mule or a chicken. And I've no interest in a fight. Forgive me for my clumsiness, Miss."

He tried to walk around her. His wings were still sore from the flying he'd done earlier, and he'd rather not use them if he could help it.

:Don't you go anywhere! We are fighting right here and now!" Xeneth roared. She pulled out her Slingshot and held it within her magic. With a 'fwomp' the bead in the slingshot was set ablaze.

She took aim at the brown pegasus. "Get ready stupid chicken. Its gonna get toasty!"

Xeneth too an aggressive stance and glared into this pony's eyes and fired her shot straight for his eyes.

"boom!"

The blur of motion was barely visible. One moment Glaive's hoof was firmly on the ground - the next, it was in the air, and a knife glimmered in the sunlight. The blazing bead bounced off the blade and landed on the ground, where Glaive stepped on it, grinding it down with his hoof to put out the fire. He gave a cool look to the unicorn.

"Let me say it again, Miss. I've no interest in a fight. Now, will you let me move on, or will you persist in this idiocy?"

"its not idiocy! Its fun!" Xeneth shouted, Firing off three consecutive shots at the pegasus. She galloped straight at him trying to make him frightened. "All you have to do is fight me!"

She drew a dagger from on of her shirt pockets and bit down on it, while shooting flaming shots.

The unicorn was actually trying to intimidate him, judging by the way she ran towards him. The idea was almost enough to make him laugh, but his irritation only increased. Normally, he loved getting into fights like this, but he just wanted to get home to Jade. He leaned left and right, letting each flaming shot pass harmlessly by while hardly shifting from his position. In fact, he still hadn't moved his hooves since he bumped into the impulsive unicorn. His knife flashed and clashed against hers, holding her there.

"Last warning."

"Or what?" The fire pony said. "Pony up Pegasus! Come on!" Xeneth swung a fire encase hoof at the pegasus' head. "Here's something you can remember me by, my hoof print burned ON YOUR FACE!"

Glaive shrugged. "Your body."

He sidestepped the rather straightforward strike and stuck his own hooves out. He pushed her, down and away, redirecting her momentum down into the ground. He gave her some extra force as well, shoving down hard, trying to send her face-first into the ground.

Xeneth's face hit the ground making her eat dirt. She got back to her hooves and growled in anger. "You will pay for that!" Her mane and tail began to morph into magic flame as well as her hooves becoming encase with flame.

She threw everything at the pony. First, a flammable liquid that she retrieved from one on her pockets and soon sent a fiery shot into the liquid. Hoping to set her enemy on fire. She enjoyed that very much. It was her specialty.

Glaive smirked. Fire was hardly something he was unused to dealing with, and so he'd naturally taken steps to defend himself. He flourished his long coat in front of the flames - they splashed against the fabric, but it didn't ignite. After being singed by dragonflame once too many times, he'd invested in a fireproof coat. He blocked the rush of flame, and threw the long jacket over the violent's mare's head. While this may have only been an annoyance in most cases, not only was his coat currently on fire, it was also lined with steel mesh, and was quite heavy. Not something one would want to drop on their head.

"How?..." Xeneth questioned but suddenly found her head being dragged towards the ground. She realized what had happened. She magicked the coat off and threw it to the side. A fire blazed in her eyes. However, she knew she was clearly out matched.

"Fine. Take your leave! I'll be back." Xeneth threw down a fire pellet that exploded into a pillar of flame. One moment she was there, the next she was gone.

Glaive stared at the place where the angry pony had vanished for a long moment, then sighed and shook his head. At least she had the good sense to leave while she still could. He walked over to his coat, stamped out the last few bits of flame, and flung it back over his shoulders. Then he continued walking home, singing the same song, still terribly off-key.
