Ok so I know I started it in my blog but Ruthi's got me going even more. You wanna talk about a shitty system..... I was denied child support 7 times. Yes 7 times. I at one point was getting medicaid, food stamps (a whole $27 a month) and daycare from the state. Well they made me pursue child support. Ok not a problem. I have everything on Rob. And I mean everything. Work address, work phone number, social security number, home number, home address, license plate, drivers license number, Im talk the whole nine yards. Well supposedly they couldnt find him. What they need a magnifiying glass???? He even had 2 other child support cases he was paying on at the time in the next county north of me. Still couldnt find him. So after the last time I was denied I went to FIA (the welfare office) and told them to stick it all up their asses. I would rather work 4 jobs then ask for help from the state.

And the whole thing on paying on 2 different children is bull shit too. It shouldnt matter if there were 12 kids it should be devided up equally. Gil goes through the same shit. Him and his ex wife each have one and he pays support for his daughter and she pays nothing for their son. And on the youngest one. He raised her older 2 kids for 18 months (vacations and all) and got nailed on back support from the time his son was born. Even though they were together then. And now she gets all the money first. She calls saying she needs her child support and is driving a brand new 2006 Blazer....... Yeah she really needs it meany.gif meany.gif Poor Gils gas is about ready to get shut off and she needs money... GRRRRR slaphead.gif Just let me slap the bitch.

ok Ill get off my soap box now.

Ok Ruthi let the ranting begin winky.gif

That sucks Mel. I think the whole child support thing stinks. If it were up to me, I'd make it so that the second the judge slammed the hammer down, the $$ is taken directly out of the man's (or woman's) check and sent to the proper parent. None of this relying on someone to make out a check.

I don't know about where Mel is but here, when someone pays child support they pay a filing fee. Like 25 dollars a month. It isn't any wonder why I don't ge the support, the courthouse is taking it.

I could probably get it now. But I would have to pay $250 to start it. And personally its not worth it to me. I guess I should but this way I feel I have all the say (I do any way) But if he was p aying support he would think he had more rights. He keeps saying hell pay support just go down and file and they will take it out of his check. But personally I feel if he wants to pay support then fricking send it to me. Why should I have to go to FOC and have them garnish his wages? Guess Im too proud and would rather work my butt off for my kids cheesin.gif

I remember when Lauren and I moved to the Indy area <to get away from him of course>. We went on our own for a while and I worked my rear off instead of going through the system. I'd rather work my rear off then get foodstamps. But that's me. And of course I never ask for anything from the ex other than visitation times <so I can have a break.> Sometimes he took her but at that time, he hardly did. "Pretty Princess Homewrecker" had all his time.

Don't even get me started on that girl.....stupid stinkin ho.

Well this subject came up last night between Gil and I. Ok and its not often you hear a man saying what Gil said. Im now seriously thinking about going down and filing for child support. At least then I can put the money up for Robert for a car, schooling, whatever. And ya know what Gils right, Robert deserves better from his dad. And that maybe hed feel a little bit better if he knew his dad was helping out more. (Gils been there, he had very little to do with his dad when he was young) So I guess when I have to go down there to deal with Pushead #2 Ill check into child support from Pushead #1. I did send him an email telling him that football registration was coming up May 2nd and that it was $220 and I really need help with it. Not only that but I also have to put money out for my best friends wedding, court with Heather, the kids's birthdays moneymoney.gif Anyone know where that damn money tree went? Or am I just gonna pull it out of my butt? lol

Mel, I'm glad you brought this up again. I had a bad conversation the other day with my ex and his mom. He's court ordered to have insurance on our daughter. Up until recently, he couldn't hold a job long enough to keep insurance on her. Well, he's got a job now and has held it long enough to get insurance.

Anyways.....he calls wanting her SSN for this and I tell him as a reminder to not loose it or let something happen to it. Of course he took it wrong and commented getting his mom to say something and it made me mad. A little part of me wanted to hang up on him and let him deal with it. But I gave it anways.

Then after we were off the phone wit each other, his mom tried to call back but I was mad and didn't want to talk to her. I think I upset her too by not talking to her. I thought that if I not talked to her that would give me time to get over it and not insert my foot in my mouth like I like to do ever so often.

Things are fine now, I'm over it and she's fine too.

Hopefully this is a slow start to the whole child support thing. Maybe, just maybe there might be a child support check somewhere. I just don't see it happening soon.

Good luck on that trip to the office.

"they couldnt find him" Yes 7 times. And why not??? I had EVERYTHING requested....home address and number, work address and number, SSN, Drivers license #,tattoes (yes they ask for them too), plate number, I even had his damn car insurance policy. The only thing I didnt do was fly the state down there to show them where he was. And he also has 2 shild support cases in the county north of me....but the couldnt use their records.....why not cause your only looking for a deadbeat dad and not a killer or rapist. And this now explains why I have no faith in our system. Guess maybe I should of spit out 4 or 5 more and lived off the state just to get some justice...Yeah right. And mind you when I did recieve state aid it was insurance, day care and $27 a month food stamps. No cash no abusing the system....just a little help.
